He was with a few guards from the army of Shu that was there to make sure that Wu Ban which was the second in command now thanks for their lord Liu Bei decision to make sure he does not get hurt or they will be the next one that will feel there lord’s blade through there neck. Wu Ban was looking at the people and all looking for anything that would make the army of Shu even more powerful then they currently are and the guards knew they needed to get mentally prepare because they knew with Wu Ban a battle was most likely. Then Wu Ban heard something that got his attention. It was a bandit that was talking to merchant about a map to a treasure.
“Give me the map old man, I will not ask you again next time I will cut your throat and do not dare to yell for help it will only make you suffer.”
The bandit seems to be searching to steal from the merchant and Wu Ban knew he could not let that happen even if the bandit was not really a bandit he was the one with the weapon trying to kill the other person. Wu Ban placed his spear in front of the merchant blocking the sword that was going for his head. The merchant ran in the guards that were with the officer that just saved his life. They were both circling each other looking like to dogs ready to tear each other apart. The bandit was trying to execute the first move going to swing at Ban’s head which he ducked and tripped the bandit on the ground with his spear. He then went over the bandit and tries to stab him in the heart and miss because the bandit reflected it with his sword. Both of the man were up and ready for this fight and the bandit throws sand at Wu Ban eyes but missed by a miles and instead blinded himself because of the wind letting Wu Ban stab the Bandit in the heart then took the sword and slashed his throat then threw the body down the mountain were the city was on.
“I would never image this location with bandits inside the capital of the former Han Empire it is hard to believe that these times have changed so much. I am sorry to bother you Merchant but what was he talking about a map for? Since I saved your life I believe that you owe me a minimal of that information don’t you think?”
Wu Ban looked at the merchant knowing if he did not help him he would be the one that would have died not the bandit but the merchant was looking in his bag. He picked up the map and gives it to Wu Ban with a smile to say thank you and he was about to talk when one of the guards was looking at the map so Wu Ban could listen to the words of the merchant to know the information he wanted about the map itself.
“I am gratefully you saved me young man and as I gave you the map let me explain what the map is for I am sure that is picking you in the brain now is it not. This map is said to lead at a treasure outside of this city and inside these runes over there. The rumours has it the one who used to own these things were bandits which are now long gone to their death and also are there victims so the treasure will go to whoever would want it and that can also find it. I would go myself but the dangers that are in these region at my age you may not be able to defend yourself so I was looking to sell it to someone that wanted it but as I saw you save my life just a few moment ago I am happy to give it to you for free. As you may see not all of us merchant are really that hungry for gold now.”
As the merchant said the last word he left with a chuckle and a smile in his face. Wu Ban looked at the map and knew that this would be good to bring to Liu Bei but the treasure itself would be better. He looked at the guard’s seeing that they were tired from the long journey he decided to go alone while they would rest in the city inn.
Wu Ban was climbing the rocks of the runes and following the direction of the map. He saw the map was pretty old when there was some of these things that were no longer there that was only rubble in these times but Wu Ban figured these thing out and did not get lost. He was at the end of the map and saw a few rocks one over the other and decide to try and get the small rocks out of there. He reaches the end and found the treasure. It was bigger than expected the size was at least four feet tall and one foot wide. He then grabbed the chest by the two rusted handles of this chest and slowly lifts it up. The handles were a bit rusted but could still hold the weight inside. He carries it slowly the weight was hurting his back but he did not care.
He reached the forest and the road that lead to the city and sees two bandits there waiting for him knowing that he had the map and knew that he had the treasure in his hands by time he arrived. The bandits were both armed with swords and ready to fight but he was still behind the road. He looks and sees that he still had the sword of the bandit he killed earlier and throws it hitting one of the bandits on the forehead which killed him instantly. The other bandit started to run toward him and swung his sword at Ban but instead he tripped over the treasure chest falling face first to the ground and Ban just killed the bandit without any problems.
The merchant and the two guards arrived to Ban with a carriage that was behind two horses. The guard got both out of the carriage and grabs the chest to place it in. Ban got up in front with the merchant surprised to see him helping them understanding that he would feel safer were they would be since the guards were no longer watching for the merchants since they see us all the same way as people that only want your money.
They finally arrived back at Liu Bei kingdom and placed it on the ground in front of him. “My lord I got this treasure in Luo Yang runes it used to belong to our ancestors and I believe that we may be able to use it to help are kingdom to place the peace of this land once more as a sign of respect to them who lost these things in the past. “ he stood there knowing he done a good job for Shu at this time.
