(Set one week before either defencive manuevers againsts wei and Wu)

Jiang wei had already packed his rations, he had hoped he would be selected as a tactition for the next battle, however he was not chosen, but how could he be. Minds like Zhuge Liang, or Yue Ying, two brilliant generals who were all going to be stationed with him at Han Zhong.

He almost couldnt contain his excitement when he heard he would be one of only a few other generals defending Shu. however he almost couldnt contain his fear when he heard how many troops he would be recieving.

this would be a fight to remember, and Wei would make it the one he would be remembered for, if he could prove his stratagies worthy, then maybe next time....

His thoughts were interupted by his brother.

they were both outside preparing their horses at the stable. his brother had said "Wei, do not day dream, not with what is about to happen"

"You worry to much" Wei replied, but he knew Jing was right. Even though jing was big and strong, Wei knew he was wiser than wei would ever be, and that should he ever attempt to take on strategies, he would be the next god of war

Taking their horses from the stable and stepping onto them, Wei looked out at the open field. the grass blew in the wind, and unfortunatly for Wei, it was not blowing hard enough, or in the right direction for a fire attack or distraction.

"Good lord Jing, how are we gonna do this?"
The first time he had ever doubted himself. Jing waved past it knowing that if he let Wei think he was rallying him, that wei himself would drop moral.

Both men dashed forward on their horses into town, stopping for a drink at a local bar, of course non alcohalic, seeing as how in just a few hours they would meet with the prime minister to go over the details.
