Nintendo 64, merely for the retroness. It was what i brought up on and had the best selection of games ever. Nintendo started out really well too bad their not going in the path i wish they would be going. Damn Wii -.- but nevermind the 64 reigns supreme.
I chose the PC as my second choice for its MMO ability. The xbox 360 runs close behind but the PC has the ability to download free games and play them online Massively multiplayer making it the strongest gaming console in my opinion.

The N64 was my first real console so I will always love that and alll the games on it. Right now my fave is my xbox 360. Its way ahead of ps3 mostly because of the awesome achievement system, ps3 tried trophies but it just isnt the same. Plus 360 online is much easier, although psn is free

I'm a Sony fan so any PS is my friend. It's due to the plain fact that when I touch anything that it technology has a bad habit of blowing up or dying in my hands but not once has Sony company stuff broken down in my care. Even after tossing my PS2 across the room it still worked like a charm.
Also it's a plain fact that PS are seen as 'basic' systems compared to the other gaming platforms. That's all I need, something that plays games and can't access the internet behind my back. *curses the internet and all the needless automatic downloads*

I must say PS2 and Xbox 360. PS2, can't go wrong with it. And doesn't break when stepped on with heels. Xbox 360, same as what the Admin said.

The Gamboy is simply wicked, pokemon blue = my childhood. The xbox 360, despite its tendency to brake, is the best thing ever.

Speaking of games consoles, I kinda think the whole "console war" thing is pointless. Nearly all games come out on every format, each machine plays the game exactly the same (with some of the smallest, miniscule differences), and each one has a special feature that are on par with the others feature, and appeal to your specific interests:
If you're a fan of general media entertainment, then go for a PS3, due to the blu-ray that'd included, and the various other (free) features that essentially make it another PC.
If you like your serious, online console games, go for the Xbox 360 - undoubtedly the best online arena going, with an incredible selection of games.
And if you're a casual gamer, a person who only plays games with friends at parties, go for the Wii. Simple as that really
Incidentally, for retro value I choose the Snes, mainly cause that (and the mega drive/master system) is what I played as a youngster. Classic Mario and Sonic ftw.

The PS2 was damn cool although when your system became older it took alot longer to run disks i found and you would have to sit in the browser for several minutes. I'm only a fan of Wii if competition is involved. I've always pwned at Mario Karts and i'm pretty good at Mario & Sonic go the the olympics due to my athletic ability. I agree it is fun though i need a games console to wind down at the end of the day and to kill some noobs.

Awww, there is no good ol' Sega Megadrive or Snes where you could play rpgs till your hands fell off.. I've chosen the PS2 (of course), and the Gameboy (I can't live without those Pokemon games!)
