I was on strikeforce today and I unlocked a elephant forgetting that in some of the version you can have an elephant. So which one do you prefer and why?

Horses. Yeah, you can bash through all sort of stuff and step on people, and with the Shadow Harness glitch you can never get dismounted. But it's too slow, both in moving and attacking, and it's faster to just get off your horse, run to the enemy, and kill them instead of trying to stomp on their heads. The most irritating part is when you get the message that your commander's in danger, and you are at the other end of the map, and you are on an elephant...

I prefer horses because I find them easier to control when trying to make tight turns on the battle-field but elephants are great for destroying terrain and killing many people at once. I'd still go for horses but elephants are good as well.

I'm not sure tbh cause I agree about them not being good with corners but on strikeforce you can level them up and once there power is at the highest rank they are pretty good and some of them can be pretty fast. Horses I do find quite annoying cause its so damn easy to get knocked of and some characters attacks on the horses are rubbish.

Well, for me, it's either extreme speed or not getting knocked off, so Red Hare or Shadow Harness are the best horses... In my opinion, the other two horses also suck as much as the elephants.

i like to bash through the enemy as quickly as possible, and usually elephants do that very well, now i havent played the game you are reffering to, but i have played the DW 3-6 most of the versions and i always liked the brute force of an elephant

Elephants were slow. ..I dont like slow. They were also a little difficult to fight against, in that if your character sucked at jumping, you'd never be able to knock anyone off an elephant. I suppose their stampede-type move was quite useful, but I still didnt like them much. Horses ftw. Fast, agile, able to jump mucho stabbiness. Love 'em.

If we're talking in videos games. Then it depends, obviously the elephants were good fun.. but for playing seriously no.
In real life the horse beats the elepant hands down, its faster, more agile are far easier to attack enemies with. In my opinion of course ;D

Hm I still havent voted on DW Vol 2. for PSP elephants are really good cause there are areas you have to take so you can just walk around and kill everyone.

Yes Elephants are stronger and Yes Elephants are cool BUT they do not have the speed nor the ease that horses do, plus horses are nicer.

I voted Elephants because come on a horse doesn't match up to a Elephant except in LOTR.

Horses because of the speed advantage over elephants so they can get away faster if need be.

OK, remember in DW5's Battle of He Fei where Zhang Liao suddenly teleports into Sun Quan's camp and slaughters him? Unless you're waiting the whole time right next to Quan, trying to ride an elephant back to save him takes a LONG time, by which he'll be half or all dead.
