I would thought that I would start this thread thinking this is the right location for these type of thing. Who is your favorite character in the whole series and give us a few reason.
Me personally before the 6th game weapon update it was Xiahou Dun but with his new look and also new weapon I do not really like anymore to use him. The reason I like him is the way he honors and gives everything he can to make sure there kingdom does not fall and made sure the survival of lord Cao Cao.

Well, this is for the Dynasty Warriors game series, right? Honestly, I don't really care what my "favorite" character acts like as long as he's not some gay bastard (*cough* Zhang He *cough*) and as long as I can kick ass with him. I can never kill a single soul with female characters. LOL
Ma Chao for sure. I do NOT enjoy his justice bullcrap when he massacres everything that he comes to anyway. I just like how easily I can kill an entire legion with that beast. And no, his greatsword was an exception. I hate that weapon.
Why is he a beast? DW5 (since I don't like DW6, sorry), Shadow Harness, Stallion Fury, just press down guard and strafe around hitting the attack button, and see for yourself.

My Favorite character in the brutal games must be the one that everyone call Sun Shang Xiang. Then only reason that I am considering her to be my favorite is that she is with both the Wu and the Shu cause she is related to the Sun family but she is in love with the rule Liu Bei. The main reason that this made me like her is that it shows that she is the one of the rare character in these series that follows there hearth and does not seem to care about what might happened next. I believe also that her weapon she had from the old game was good but I did not really like it. I am glad that she uses the bow now. Also before I forget I am buying the Strikeforce and might be joining ps3 online to play it with other if you are interested please do not fear sending me a private message. Another thing that made me prefer her is the fact she always hated the Wei army cause I really do not like the Wei army my self I believe that they are not really pure hearten like the other kingdom and is only there for the power and not to end the chaos of the world.

Well if it wasnt obvious enough i am a fan of Jiang Wei. Mostly because he is very misunderstood in the world of DW.
They make him out to be an utter failure, and the reality was that he did fail often, however you must also look at his record near the end of shu, even when all was falling around him, and nothing was going right, he still supported Shu, even to his dying breath.
I also appreciate his story as someone who would have never been in the military had it not been for his mothers illness

It is going to have to be Ma Chao or Zhao Yun. Well come on, Yun charged into the middle of the enemys forces to get Bei's kid. Now that is just loyalty and being a badass!!! Ma Chao is just a beast when he is on the horse that he can't be knocked off of. He is a machine on that thing!!

Mine would be Gan Ning (DW 5) cuz of the most amazing craziest musou. I love how you can fly around the battlefield like a psycho. He also is kinda like me, fast, crazy, and sorta laid back. However, on DW 6... I would have to say... Sun Jian cuz he just cool. Plus i love his Musou mode!

mine are odd, I like Zhang He for his Claws but when I get serious I play Zhang Liao (with his spear not those stupid things he has in DW6)
Sun Jian, Sima Yi, ZHang Jiao and Cao Pi (oh how bad ass Pi is in DW6)

Well..... Honestly speaking, I just recently entered the DW craze in the past year, though I have played guite a few of the installments. If I had to choose a favorite character, it'd most likely be Liu Bei, because his personality has the most correlation to mine.

I have a few, and they are my favorites in all games because i like their personalities and looks and dedication.
Gan Ning, Xu Huang, Pang De, Lu Bu, Zhou Yu, Xiahou Dun, Taishi Ci, Lu Meng, and Dain Wei
I like some more, but these guys are always played with first in my games. Cao Pi is ok to but hes a self rightous bast**d.

Dynasty Warriors 2: Lu Bu or Guan Yu. Both had the best crowd clearing moves. I also liked Zhang Jiao and his sword/bare feet!
Dynasty Warriors 3:Definitely Lu Bu, especially if you've ever heard the song 'stomp'.
Dynasty Warriors 4: I have a weakness for Xiahou Dun and his scimitar, but I also really liked Zhao Yun and Ma Chao.
Dynasty Warriors 5: Wei Yan and Cao Pi. Though I also liked Zhang Liao.
Dynasty Warriors 6: Zhao Yun, Liu Bei, Cao Pi, Zhang Liao, Zhou Yu and probably Sun Ce. I loved their movesets.
Samurai Warriors 1: Yukimaru Sanada and Hanzo Hattori
Samurai Warriors 2: Hanzo Hattori and Tadakatsu Honda.
