So after playing Samurai warriors 2, and Dynasty Warriors six, and all the expansions to both, i pick up Dynasty warriors 3 and beat Zhao Yuns campaign and somehow i have more fun with that than i did with any of the other Koei Remakes...
Am i just weird or are the older games actually becoming more fun to play lol

I do find the old games are a little more fun to play than the newer ones. The new ones do lack comedy, except SW3 which unleashed the 'Idiot Three' upon the world and the amazing tumbling Nagamasa.

Yeah im not okay with the appearance of the new Liu Bei, Sun Jian, Guan Yu
They all look to modernized, like someone from the 21st century could potentially look like that, whereas before they had a very defined look about them.

OK, Jiang Wei, here's a simple explanation.
1. You were playing Dynasty Warriors 6. That game basically... sucked compared to what KOEI had been capable of in the past.
2. You had then played Dynasty Warriors 3. That game (and it's XL expansion) is one of the most well-made games that KOEI has ever produced.

I have to stop you there, Koei's best work was that of Kessen III

The latest Dynasty warriors releases have been Stikeforce which is by far the worse dw game iv ever played. You spend all the time trying to hit awkward flying enemy's of kill giant weapons they just turn you into mulch with god like power. DW6 sucked with clones and not everyone having a muso mode. DW6XL did not come out in Europe and SW3 is only on WII OMG this sucks bad. The whole thing is going down the drain atm there best days are behind them.

I personally love Strikeforce. It is one of the best non main branch DW game(second to Orochi 2) Though my favorite is going to be DW4. DW6 looked beautiful, if only they gave most people their weapons back and everybody had a musou mode *sigh*

It's a shame that DW6 was rushed so much for a release, otherwise I think they would have topped previous releases. Though I have read there is a DW7 in the pipe line, so I'm hoping they'll take their time with it this time around.
I didn't like that significant characters were dropped while ones that weren't that important were kept, for instance Xiao Qiao.. Why was she kept while Da Qiao was ditched? Not only was Da Qiao bearable, I found Xiao too annoying, plus she had some form importance in the storylines than her sister. Also, dropping Zhu Rong and Meng Huo was silly as they were a good addition to the game.
Hopefully they bring back those who were cut and get rid of the clone movesets, especially Diao Chan and Zhen Ji, I liked Zhen Ji's flute..to be honest I prefer their previous weapons than the chain-whip.
I would like to see new characters too: Shu:- Xu Shu, Ma Su, Yan Yan, Zhang Bao, Liao Hua, Zhou Cang.. Wei:- Cao Zhi, Bian Shi, Cao Zhang, Sima Zhao, Sima Shi, Jia Xu, Guo Jia, Yu Jin, Yue Jin.. Wu:- Cheng Pu, Han Dang, Zhu Ran, Jiang Qin, Zhuge Jin, Wu Jing, Zhu Zhi, Ling Cao, Lu Su.. Yuan Shao:- Wen Chou, Yan Liang, Ju Shou, Tian Feng, Guo Tu, Yuan Tan, Yuan Xi, Shen Pei, Feng Ji, Chunyu Qiong.. Dong Zhuo:- Li Ru, Fan Chou, Gao Shun, Li Jue, Guo Si, Niu Fu.. Lu Bu:- Chen Gong.. Nanman:- Wu Tugu, Dawang Duosi.. Yellow Turbans:- Zhang Liang, Zhang Bao, Bian Xi, Pei Yuanshao..
Hope they keep Cai Yan too.
Also, to continue with pronouncing the chinese names correctly, it kept annoying me when they always called Cao Cao 'Cow Cow'..
