Its a stright out fight but you could do it as a duel if both sides want. However only one quest at the time so you gotta finish your raid quest first or drop it.

I would enjoy doing this one so long as the enemy I will face will be somewhat based around my troop forces, or if the Han themselves (aka the gods that are the staff) would grant me a small continigent of borrowed troops to aid me (as I am not very large in numbers personally). If either is agreeable then i am more than happy to do this difficult quest, even if I am extremely battle rusty these days  |

For that quest you get a slight chance at the beginning since the village will have some defense in the form of walls and archer towers and also you'll get some peasants to fight along side you. You will also get five cavalry men to send the message for back-up, after that you'll just have to hold out until the larger force from the city arrives.
