"Argh...Where the hell could those to be?" He shouted irritated while itching the back off he head as he walked down a crowded road of people. The warrior had his blades rest on his right should held by his right hand with his left hand with boringly move up and down at his side. Before he had slept in at the inn they were staying at waking up with his companions gone and replaced by two women he didn't know, obviously he was drinking again. With a light yawn, he continued to walk aimlessly, then gave up his search returned to the inn.
He entered the room once more and laid down at least until he found a note that was next to his pillow. Out of curiosity he took the note and read it. He was absolutely amazed, with one of few things. First that the women were still sleeping on his bed, two that he could read while dazed, and three he was suppose to meet them as the palace. "Ahh....Crap...Anrui's going to be upset. I said I would get her sweets today." He said with a sigh, and rolling his shoulders. He heard a girl groan and whispering she had a good night last night and quickly responded. "Huh?"
After an extremely awkward talk he headed out making sure he bought some sweet for Anrui. Upon reaching the palace he sees his brother standing. "Hey!" He shouted with a grin. "I got the damn sweets!" When the guards came up trying to block his way, he kicked them both aside, shoving the paper to their face. "I got an invite!!" He walked up the the two handing the sweets to Anrui and looks to his brother. "What I miss brother?" He said in a slightly more serious tone with his swords still resting on his shoulder. "Is he hiring us or what?"

After watching his two new recruits leave his palace, he finished the buns left and drank his tea. He went to find the maid who brought the tea and buns and thanked her for a wonderful job. He then left his palace after an hours sleep in the royal bedroom and went for a walk through town. He walked down the long steps and out of the gate saying hello to the guards and the passers bye, he stumbled across a man who looked kinda lost, he approached him the realised him to be He Xing, son of Grand General He Jin. "He... He Xing, is..is that really you?" Yuan Shao was quite shocked and overwhelmed to see the man. He spent alot of time around He Jin and played a part in his childhood. He would see He Xing when ever he visited He Jin. "Its been a long time my boy. What can i do for you?" Yuan Shao was quite puzzled as to why He Xing was visiting him especially so soon after the battle at Lou Yang.

Burai sighed as a familiar voice rang in his ears. Suddenly he looked past the gates to see Hiroshi. A frown formed on his face. “He is always late, always…” Burai looked up at Anrui who seemed to be just as upset with him. Burai smiled, “I know how you feel, but you can’t hate him…It will only make him want to cheer you up more…Trust me I know..” She looked away and made an hmph sound. Burai shrugged, she was acting more and more like a woman every day. Burai would never admit that. Anrui toward her head slightly, as she heard Hiroshi mention sweets. She quickly took them from Hiroshi, and smiled; she became so overwhelmed by the gesture, she forgot why she was mad at him. Burai laughed as he saw her have a change of heart. “You know brother, she won’t be so innocent and easy to please for long…” He stared Hiroshi in the eyes. “You will have to train extra hard. Two hundred laps around this palace, with weights strapped to your legs and wrist.” He grinned, “Yes, that way you will move a lot quicker and won’t be late net time.”
Anrui held one of her sweets in front of Burai’s face. This had him feel quite uneasy. He stared at Anrui and then at the candy. She insisted; moving the candy toward his lips. A sweat bead rolled down the side of his face. “Fine..” He quickly ate the piece of candy. “Anrui, you shouldn’t do that..” She looked at him in confusion, tilted her head to the side, placing her right index finger on her cheek. Burai ignored her and diverted his attention to Hiroshi. “Yes are hired, I fear we have our work cut out for us…I only seen one other person that is in Yuan Shao’s forces” Burai had an unpleasant look on his face. “I hope he is as brilliant as he made himself out to be. We need allies Hiro.. If we can make his kingdom flourish. He would be quite thankful. We’ll be able to depend on him.”

"I know that much." He said with a small and short laugh while rubbing the back of his neck. He looks down at Anrui who was cutely eating her sweets, with a light smile. He knew she cared for the two but assumed that she trusted his brother more. Which was understandable, Burai was more reliable than he was, when it came to most things. He wasn't saying that he wasn't a reliable person as well. He just didn't like to be but if it were to come down on him he would do his best, his brother and Anrui knew that about him. But he sensed the seriousness in his brothers voice and understood what he meant. "Only 200 you seem to be in a good mood. Yuan Shao must-a gave you a good position. The pay is good right?"
He laughs again when Anrui was trying to feed Burai the sweets. It seemed that it will be awhile still until she grew up. "Nice one Anrui. But it seem you made big brother grumpy." He said with a chuckle. His laughter quickly faded when he spoke about their current jobs. "Yeah, China forgot the two of us, it seems that we need to remind them of who we are, right?" He said itching his nose a bit. But there was something bothering him about Yuan Shao, something he didn't trust, he didn't know the man personally. But from his speeches he just couldn't trust him. There was no offense meant, it was just how Hiroshi was now, the only people he trusted is his brother and Anrui. "Just to put my input, I know what you're saying, but I just can't trust him so easily. But I'll stand by ya." He stated.

Burai didn’t want to talk about such things here. “He saw things my way I believe. For right now the pay is moderate.” Anrui, nodded. She could hear the unrest in Burai’s heart, but he was under a great burden and wouldn’t share it with anyone. She place her head on the top of his, to reassure him. “Aye, thank you for your support Anrui..” Burai raised his free hand and patted her head roughly; messing up her hair in the process. She made a loud shriek as he did so, which was followed by laughter.
“Let us go brother, we have much to discuss.” Burai began to walk; as he passed Hiroshi she whispered. “I don’t trust him, either, but all pawns are necessary. We aren’t in any position to change china” He let out a sigh and continued walking. “Just follow my lead brother, I will return us to our former glory. You are the only one I can trust, not to turn their blade on me when my back is turned.”

He Xing smiled, Yuan Shao was almost like a uncle. He had taught him the way's of being a Noble. Of course that was when he had visited. He learned most of it from Lu Zhi.
Why lord Yuan Shao it has been a long time since we last met. Good to see you I was sent here by my father to help ris the land of the threat of the Yellow Turbans. I believe this time we strike at the heart. The Turban base of operations. However let's go inside and talk this over a drink.

He let out a light sigh and itched his nose with his free hand. "Only moderate eh?" He said soundly, it would seem that they had to start from scratch. He tapped his shoulder lightly with his vicious blades, an unorthodox weapon, but when it came down to it. The hook swords are an extremely useful weapon. As he watch the two mess around gave a light smile, it was good to see them get along.
"Yes....My brother." He lowered his head from pure respect of his older brother and also knowing that Burai had something planned. A slight ominous smile came onto his face when he heard what Burai had planned. "Well that is good my brother. I was beginning to think you were getting soft, in the face of nobility." He whispered back as his brother passed him. He looked down to Anrui with a happy smile. "Enjoying those sweets lady Anrui? We might get meat buns later if brother allows for it." Hiroshi said sweetly to her not using the term lightly. At first when they first picked her up, he couldn't understand why Burai kept her around. But she grew on him, he actually genuinely cared, which was rare.
He hasn't cared for a girl or woman in the general sense, since Gao Xia, his wife. After her, he felt that he couldn't love another. He just drank and made love to women for however long and leave. Not saying that he would do that to Anrui, he actually cared about her. He turned around following his brother. "Yes...Brother, this is going to be fun. I wonder if there is anyone that can take the two of us on." He said with a chuckle to keep things light. "Do you think so Anrui?"

"Ahh yes lets go in for a drink." Yuan Shao smiled at the man and led the way into his palace. They made their way up the huge steps and through the main doors, he led the man into a little conferance type room Shao had. He pulled a chair out for the man and asked the maids to bring drinks and food, soon enough there was Tea, Ale and some meat buns on the table. Yuan opted for the Tea over the ale. He took a sip. "Ahh delightful, so, what is it you wish to discuss friend?" Yuan Shao took another sip of his tea before grabbing a meat bun.

He Xing took his time while eating. He though liked the Ale over the tea though. He was more of a whine drinker however. Taking a meat bun he began to eat it slowly. After finishing it he drank a little more of the ale. Pulling out ten coins he put them on the table. Mainly a sign of gratitude towards the maids and servants. Then he began to talk.
Lord Yuan Shao, i have been given a assignment by my father. He want's me and by my opinion as well. to currently join your force. to aid you in the destruction of the yellow turban's. Their leader Zhang Jiao was killed by Lu Bu. I saw the body on my way out. He had been cut into pieces by the brutish individual. However he has done the land a great favor.
My father praised Lu Bu of course after Lu Bu had cut off Jiao's head and threw it into the air like some creature. Howling like a dog, simply unheard of. Anyways towards the end of the battle I had led the cavalry against whatever Yellow turban troops that were left outside the Emperors estate. Now however I am here to assist you in your exploits against the Turbans.
He Xing then pulled out another meatbun. After eating that he washed it down with some more ale. Then began to speak again.
I have plans for finishing off the turban's. if I am correct their main base is somewhere here in He Bei. correct? In which case I judge that with a sufficient amount of troops. We can easily take the main city. Their morale is down enough that they won't have the will to fight. they might even surrender if we give them a chance. If we show to them we can provide mercy they will certainly believe that the Turban cause is lost. Thus ensuring our victory certainly.
He Xing drank some more ale, and then took some chicken off a plate. Enjoying the food he waited for Yuan's reply.

Yuan Shao listened to the man whilst drinking and eating. He listened to every word he spoke and tried to recall the men he spoke of. He mentioned Lu Bu, a man Yuan would much like to have in his force. The best warrior in the land according to rumour. He Xing talked about Bu's exploits and then began on his. Yuan listened to them, although he disregarded them, Yuan didn't believe in legends. He only judged someone once he had witnessed their exploits himself but seeing as china was so vast, most of the time rumours were all people had to hear of these hero's. The man wished to aid Yuan Shao in helping him defeat the Turban's. "So you wish to help me defeat them? what about when they are finished, will you still serve me?" He asked the man, he would be thankful for help but he didnt really need it. He would much rather the man join his force and become and officer under him.

He Xing thought about the offer. It seemed good enough, serve one of the Han's most loyal family line. The Yuan's, great men with great power. Seeing that there was no downside to serving the Yuan's. He would still be serving the Han. So what the heck, He Xing gave a large smile.
You can count on me to help you in your quests.
taking another drink of ale he sat back.
Now what about that plan for the invasion of the Turban capital. You still want to hear it perhaps my Lord.

Burai faced toward the palace gates; a fragile smile appeared on his face, as Hiroahi placed his arm around him. “Good..I’m glad I was mistaken.” That said, the smile dissipated. Its been awhile since Burai got to cut loose on anyone, he was hoping Hiroshi would be the first. He thought very highly of him, and he would put up a good fight. One that would endanger both of their health. Burai couldn’t ask for anything else. The thrill of a good fight was worth risking one’s life. Only when he was in the mood for it, otherwise he would find something worthwhile.
Suddenly Xian spoke up, making his emotions known. Burai nodded iin agreement. What he spoke of is natural. Burai himself would act out of turn, and be rather reckless, if someone mocked him. In his mind, he never acted out of turn. Thus some of his statements would be hyprocritical. This didn’t phase him, who would stand up to him and denounce his methods as immoral or unjust? Burai spoke quietly, but loud enough so the two could hear him. “Yuan Shao has the right to mock you. You were once his enemy; One of his generals defeated you and brought you to him. If he is as you claim. He'll take my achievement for his own. However, I advise you to be humble. If you must lash out at him, be kind…”
Burai took a pause, as he was reminded about a quote; his brother Akimoto would always say. He decided to share it with the both of them “Life is too short, your pride will make it even shorter. Be kind to your foes, enemies of today maybe the friends of tomorrow.” Burai brought his hand behind his head and sighed. This would be an interesting turn of events.

A relief came over him as his brother finally took time to relax himself, he respected his elder brother and knew of his sometimes stubbornness and urges to fight and kill. He had to admit to himself that he had some issues with fighting, although he didn't like starting them, he did sometimes like ending them. But their time to fight and kill will come soon, once Yuan Shao gives the command, Gongsun Zan and his arrogance will burn to the ground. He sighed soundly, he was getting so caught up with this, he began to want a quick drink again. He placed his free hand on the back of his neck and gave it a light rub then lightly patted his shoulder with his beautiful jet black blades.
He looked to the gigantic gate before him, the gate to the huge tall and gorgeous palace in such a great city. If Yuan Shao played his cards right, he might not have to see such an amazing city burn to ash. Then he listened to the words to Burai, it seemed strange, he had never heard anything like it. It was profound, it was filled with wisdom, mercy even, it was...Not Burai. He showed little to no mercy to those he found weak, he looked to Xian, it showed that Xian had potential within him, he looks back to his brother. He gave a slight nod, wondering what was next on the agenda.

Post by Yuan Shu on Aug 4, 2010 19:13:35 GMT
After the Rebellion was quelled, Yuan Shu had traveled a long way to meet with his brother, Yuan Shao. It had taken him quite some time to travel to the city of Nan Pi in the region of He Bei.
As he traveled through the city, he had gotten in an argument with some townspeople, and talked to others. After a long walk through the city, Shu had finally made it to the palace.
He spoke to the guards with complete respect, at least, that's how it sounded. He introduced himself very politely, and knew they would allow him access to the Palace. It was his brother's kingdom, of course.
"Greetings! I am Lord Yuan Shu, stylized Gonglu, of Wan and Ru Nan. I seek audience with my brother, Lord Yuan Shao." Shu said with a smile on his face.
He figured the guards would let him go in, though he didn't know after the scuffle he had gotten into with the peasant woman while making his way to the Palace. ("Yuan Shu arrives in Nan Pi")
"Oh, oh, um, of course you can go in sir!" said a guard, obviously trying to stay as polite as possible. The face this soldier made was quite laughable, but then again, Shu was short on time. He entered the Palace quickly, only to see many more guards and servants throughout the palace.
He proceeded to walk up the long, elegant stairway of the Palace. He figured this would lead him to Shao's Throne Room. Every Yuan had top-notch guards, they are the most important family of China, after all.
As he continued up the stairs, he ran into two guards, the soldiers seemed to have an understanding that Lord Yuan Shu was in the Palace and swiftly removed themselves from his way. He then came across a large corridor, down the hall was the Throne room, no doubt.
As he came to the door, two Royal Guards were posted on the side.
"You can go in, sir, Lord Yuan knows you have entered, I believe."
With this, Gonglu entered the Throne room, to see his brother, Yuan Shao, sitting on his throne enjoying a glass of wine.
"Hail. It has been a long time, has it not, brother?" Shu said as he laughed and walked slowly up to Shao's throne.

Still somewhat affected from his wounds, Kong Rou entered the castle. He was slightly disturbed that no guards had offered him assistance. He made his way into the throne room and threw himself down infront of Yuan Shao, paying no mind to the stranger near him.
Grabbing his chest Rou began what would be his begging for forgiveness.
"My Lord! I apologize! I fear I may have done a great, yet evil deed today."
Rou gathered himself and made his way to one knee. He awaited further permissions to speak.
