A Brief Respite

[Tsuki (Ancient One)]

Kouji winced as he felt the heavy boot upon his back. He started to wish he hadn't attacked Lu Bu in the first place, he regretted his decision and now Rui was caught up in it. Kouji whimpered as he was picked up by the back of the neck. He could see Rui was hurting badly about what was happening. Kouji let a few tears roll down his face. "Please... don't hurt him. Please don't hurt him." Kouji pleaded as he wished to avoid having Rui go through the same treatment.

Rui stared at Lu Bu and Kouji whilst gritting his teeth. He knew that Kouji was trying to protect him now but he didn't want the boy to suffer anymore and he didn't feel right allowing this man do as he pleased. "Then I'll just keep fighting then! I will never submit and you better let my friend go before I make sure your head sits neatly upon a pike!" Rui growled continuing to show his spirit.

[Lu Bu]

"Mua ha ha ha! Your spirit is admirable, but you have much to learn. In battle, spirit is useless. The only thing that matters is might and tact."

He released Kouji, letting him fall to the ground. He lowered his weapon and turned to walk away, stopping to speak to them again.

"I think I'll meet you again someday on the battlefield, I will show you no mercy there, be ready. When that day comes, show me your all....especially you, Kouji."

He released a chuckle as he ended the sentence. Lu Bu collected his armor and got on Red Hare before riding away with a smile on his face. Not all duels and battles were hate fueled death matches.

[Tsuki (Ancient One)]

Kouji scrambled towards Rui after being released from Lu Bu's grasp. Kouji was trembling violently and attached himself fully to Rui and refused to let go. Rui held Kouji whilst glowering at Lu Bu as he turned and walked away. "I will also show no mercy. Pirates are not your pets or play toys and we will prove that!" Rui barked as he tried to comfort Kouji.

The heavy thuds of hooves approached the huddled pair and the wet nose of Akako brushed against Rui's face. "Kouji, lets leave this place." Rui whispered to the younger male as he lifted him up and then helped him onto the young steed. Rui retrieved the katana and Tsu before he walked away from the scene.
