Burai just returned from Bei Ping. He encountered a man who in an army that opposed his employer. For his own reason, Burai challenged the man, and attacked him with and underhanded move. That caught him off guard. This tip everything in Burai's favor. He gave the man a Choice die, join him, or owe him a favor of his chosen. All three had major consequences but two allowed him to retain his life.
In Burai's eyes it was better to be alive and shameful then dead and prideful. Burai lead his companions to the inn he was staying. Until Yuan Shao could give him his own piece of land. He was in no rush, the inn was more his casual scene. Once at the inn Burai made his way to the counter and told the inn owner that no one was to disturb them, but he also asked for a few bottles of sake.
The inn keeper nodded and bowed, he offered to carry the bottles up to his room, but Burai declined and took them up to his room by himself. Anrui was right behind him, but she was feeling rather tired. Once she got into the room she laid down quietly, motioning to Burai to lay down with her.
He sat down next to her and pull the covers up to her chest, and kissed her forehead gently. "Go and get some rest. I will need to talk to Xian and Hiro for a minute or so, then will head outside. Let you get your beauty sleep." She rolled her eyes at his comment and turned over. Burai opened one bottle of sake and brought it to his lips. enjoy the liquor that enticed his taste buds. "Hiro better not be late.."

He gazed at the stars quietly, in the darkness of night. His only light were of the moon, star and a brindled lantern, below him as his sat silently on the rooftop. His elbow rested on his knee, forearm angled downward and head leaned back, with eyes closed and had a slight smirk on his face. He was able to get information on a few cities, after all information was a key to a successful assassination or surprise attack on the enemy, and he was satisfied with his results. With a slight yawn he slowly opened his eyes. He patted his stomach thoughtlessly then grips onto his swords. He then stretches out a bit letting out loud but relaxed, 'Ahh...'
"Brother must be back by now. I ought to go back now before he gets grumpy."
He stated out loud to himself, opening his eyelids revealing his red eyes. With his swords in hand he began running from roof to roof, making very little noise. At a point he had to jump from a wide spread street, as tall as two stories, not a fall that he wanted. Being experienced in this used his a hook sword to grip into a roof top and pulled himself up and continued to run. Again he continues to run from roof to roof to the inn where they were staying. Using his sword to swing from post to post leading to a front flip onto a cart into a side flip off.
With his current momentum, he ran up the wall as high as he could on the inn, and hooked his blade into a part of the wall. Who really uses the front entrance now and days if they could do this? Besides at this hour, he assumed that Lady Anrui, was being put to sleep in her bed. He didn't wish to wake her, for both his and Burai's sake. He began to swing his body from side entering their room window. He entered quietly, seeing Burai had already prepared Anrui for sleep. Looks like he was also right on time He also noticed another man with his back turned to Hiroshi, he hadn't the slightest why the man was here, but he sense no threat from him, for now anyway.
Placing both his blades in one hand, he walks passed the man giving him a shove as he passed as though the man wasn't even there. He takes a seat across from Anrui's feet and takes a bottle of sake. "Looks like he is actually there." He whispered not wanted to disturb Anrui's slumber, assuming that she was asleep. He takes a chug of the sake, then wiped his mouth with his arm. "Why is he here? I assume he isn't here for a fight other wise he be a rotting corpse by now." He continued to whisper, laying back not actually caring how the man would respond, unless a hostile response was going to happen, the head of the man would be on a pike.

Glancing down at the girl who seemed to be inseparable from Burai, He wondered how she came to be with him. Odd for such a large man to, literally, carry a girl like her around with him. Following Burai up to the room, He as She was tucked in, and the sheer amount of emotion He showed her. It didn't fit, in his mind, with the man who'd had him at his mercy and nearly killed him. Thinking back to that, He rubbed the small scar on the back of his neck, a permanent reminder of his arrogance.
Taking one of the bottles Burai'd brought up with him, He went to take a sip before He heard something from the window, Turning his head He barely registered a man coming in the window before he was shoved to the side. Focusing on him, He wasn't exactly impressed by what He saw. He snorted, before finishing his sip, and looking towards Burai. "Who's this then? You never mentioned anyone besides yourself and the Girl. While he seems harmless enough, I'm sure he'd be better s uited to be drinking with Yan and Haesten." He muttered quietly to Burai, Trying not to annoy him by waking the Girl.

Burai closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He forgot about how Hiroshi loved to jump to conclusion. Coming in through the window, was unreasonable. Burai opened his eyes and turned his toward Hiroshi. "Brother...You owe me 500 laps, in the morning..Coming through that window, just so you wouldn't be late...If my guest and Anrui weren't here...I would send you back through that window.." Burai glanced over at Anrui and smiled. She looked so peaceful, but Hiroshi was so rowdy.
Burai listened to what Zong Xian Liang had to say. It was rather important he met this man. "I want you to meet my brother Hiroshi. He is a trustworthy man, who thinks with his heart and not his head. One of the few I trust with my life. Zong Xian Liang try to be respectful...I know he can be rather difficult at times." This was quite odd coming from Burai, he acted as if he wasn't as difficult to get allow with. Even more odd that he would let this new acquaintance so close to those he loved the most. Burai was certainly left valuable to attack.
"Brother, that battle was already decided, I gave him a choice. He chose to serve me. I didn't force him, I can be rather peruasive. So please keep a watchful eye on him. If he betrays merciful act show him your loyalty."
Burai took a moment to take another sip of sake. He needed time to organize his words. "Zong Xian Liang, I hope you don't have any objections to calling you Xian. Your words about my employer left me quite curious. If he is truly as bad as you say then I will need to act with caution. You see, I am in of gold, alot of it. Yuan Shao could provide me with that. He hasn't shown me any reasons to distrust him. Since you seem to be familiar with his exploits. you might give me an idea how my employer really is."
He stood up and streacthed. Was all this truly necessary, perhaps not, but Burai needed to know more about Yuan Shao. From another person point of view. "I made a promise to make this palace formidable and I will. As long as I'm compensated for it." Burai tossed a bottle of Sake at Hiroshi. "I hope you found out some valuable information? I don't need to tell you how many more laps you will be doing, if you been slacking.."

It seemed that even his stealth was too rowdy for Burai. Even though Anrui was laying peacefully as though as she already had fallen asleep. There was no harm in him coming through the window, no intention for him to cause trouble for his brother. If it weren't his brother, the only man he respected in China telling him this, a fight would of ensued by now. Despite his calm composure, it was rare for him to take punishment where it wasn't due. But Burai was his only family, so he wasn't going to throw his bond over something so trivial. He smiled to his brother and calmly spoke his tone low and quiet for Anrui's rest but in the brotherly manner he gave only to Burai.
"Ah, but I am not the only one jumping to conclusions. I am not saying you are wrong my brother, but I have nothing to offend you nor young mistress Anrui, whom is still resting with content. But at least I didn't just bash into the room like a brute. I suppose in need the exercise anyway."
He ended with a soft and quiet chuckle. He rested his head on a hand and continued to lay lazily. He had assumed that his brother knew better when he was describing him. Hiroshi had always thought with his head, hence his ability to fight, he wouldn't just bum rush into a fight. Suppose his act was just that good, thought he had to admit that there are moments where he would rather follow his heart than his head, for of course rational reasons. He made a look on a face as a non-verbal agreement to Burai. And as the difficult part, he just had issues with new people, well mainly men. Watching bandits kill and rape loved ones tends to do that people. No, his life isn't bad off, no he wasn't complaining about it. But yes, he is human and it did traumatize him.
Burai is the only one he had told his story to as his sign of trust and respect. It was this reason he held people with the title, of family so dear to him. Although he felt as though Anrui did not trust nor care for him, but it didn't matter. He would protect nonetheless. He rubbed his chin lightly taking another sip of his sake a grin remained on his face, his eyes remained closed. His mind wandered off a bit then came back to reality.
"Then I assume you gave him a choice of servitude, death or favor. Your usual combination and fearing for his life he chose to serve you with complete and utter 'loyalty'. Rather than fight back for his so called beliefs or just give you a favor. Him calling me a drunkard, just tells me of his own self-absorbed arrogance, his need to be feared. His own need to feel powerful in the face of a stranger. But I will admit that he looks able to hold his own. And if you think he has potential, I will help it grow."
He looked and gave a stern look to the man. Despite his harshness, he is an honest person. He wasn't going to mislead anyone for any reason. He didn't hate Xian, but nor did he trust him. If the man were smart he should understand his reasoning. It almost made him curious to how the man would react, hopefully in a sensible way, but the curiosity quickly died out. So he merely took another drink and continued. "Then again if he were to show any disloyalty that would put any of us at risk or danger. I will cut him down in an instant."
He finished off his bottle and another was tossed to him. Magic does happen, he smiled and drank. "The Sun family are becoming quite the force to be reckon with my brother. They have a strong army and defense and even their women are dangerous. Despite how beautiful they might be." He feigned a tear jerk mentioning the women of Wu. "Despite our employer liking them, he cannot allow for them to grow too rapidly but it would be a bad idea to strike them when Yuan Shao's war with with Gongsun's forces. But on the other hand they could be used as a good ally. I have seen Han Dang visit probably for a peaceful agreement. If we were entice an enemy officer to attack, preferably an officer of Gongsun's than not only would the Sun's be weakened. But it could lower the injuries to our troops depending on how Yuan leads." He looked to Burai. "How do feel about the idea?"

Xian smirked at this man, Him he could get along with. Brash, arrogant, but not so much as He was a few days before. He turned back to Burai, listening to what He had to say. He'd learned, since he met him, that while he appeared a brute, He did think things through. "Call me Xian, Everyone else does. My names far too long to say it every time you speak to me. About Yuan Shao...I've never met the man, but from what I've heard from Gongsun Zan, and many others, He lives his life in his families shadow, Constantly bragging to influential people about their exploits for the Han. I don't know what he's like outside of that, but I doubt he's the sort of man who would risk someone becoming stronger then him." He leaned back agains the one wall, adjusting his sword so He could rest his arm on it while thinking. Yuan Shao, from what he'd learned, was a braggart who craved power. A fool, by all definitions.
He tuned back in when he heard mention of Wu. He'd fought with them at Luo Yang, and He knew just how competent their men were. If they allied with Yuan...That'd mean trouble later on. He'd sworn his loyalty, on his blood, to Burai and He'd honor that if it killed him. "If you need someone to...disturb this Han Dang, My lieutenant, Liu Yan, should be able to handle him. He's brash, arrogant, and a complete drunk, but he's reliable. Find something that will set this man off, and I'll have Yan take care of him. That should solve our problems, yes?" He knew it'd be a risk for Yan to do this, but if it was necessary to stop Yuan and Wu making their alliance...Oh it was worth the risk.

Perhaps Burai was being to harsh on Hiroshi, but he needed more discipline. He wasn’t going to apologize, at else not at this moment. He needed to make things stable for him in his comrades. For when the time comes and the tides of chaos rampage through all of China. Burai wants him and his followers to be in the best position. Thoughts of his mentor entered his mind. “I will forge a new path, one that I will deem worthy.”
Burai placed his empty bottle firmly on the table. “No you didn’t enter the room, like a brute..More like a monkey, such mischief could alarm people nearby. I know you meant no harm by it brother. You represent our employer, and better yet me. If Yuan Shao disapproves of your methods, he my doubt mine.” Burai sighed, “I know it’s a pain, but we need to be precautious, but not too cautious. I may have stirred things up, as it is.” Burai gazed at Anrui. “It was his arrogance, that brought him here today, mind you.. Sadly he will live with that for the rest of his days. Xian just needs direction…I was once that arrogant, I still am.. Perhaps the only difference is experience..Brother guide him along our path. If he choses not to..Then deal with it as you see fit.” Burai ponder for a moment about the Sun family. He listened to both of them. They both seemed to agree about enticing the officer of Wu.
“Let me make this clear. Sun Yelena and my child Mizuki, are not to be harmed, I don’t care about the rest of Wu. We’ll use any of them to our personal gain. Whether this plans succeeds or not don’t go through any unnecessary risks. Yelena..might want to be involved let me deal with that..” Burai motioned the two to follow him.
“Sadly we will need to go see our employer. He will want to learn of your status Xian, I won’t allow him to harm you in anyway..You are not a prison of war; you left your former lord to serve me. I want let anyone harm by subordinates.” Burai opened the door. “We won’t inform Yuan Shao of everything we spoke of. Please be very..ah..’Selective.’ I can’t let him have complete control over everything I do..As his advisor. I need to keep him informed, as I said before. I will make sure his land is formidable. I will do it my way, Understood? Lock the door behind you, whoever is the last one to exit.”
Burai left the room and made his way down stairs. He informed the inn keeper that he was going to meet Yuan Shao. Also asked the inn keeper to keep an eye on Anrui.

It seemed that they didn't completely understand his plan. No matter, he would just have to explain it more throughly. But that wasn't the thing that bothered him the most. To be seen as a monkey by his older brother, it made him feel almost embarrassed. He supposed that he did need a stern talking to here and there, but only from his older brother. The man he respected more than anyone else the one man that equaled his own strength and skill. After the moment passed being called a monkey no longer bothered him, he would just continue to be himself. Just being a bit more cautious of showing his true abilities until his brother asks for it.
Burai's worries were vaild, his wife Yelena would be someone who would recklessly run into danger for a loved one. Danger could be anything, from betrayal in a battle to a enclosed hostage situation. Burai did have a child, young Mizuki, that was also something that remained as a burden to his plan. Everyone in Wu could perish except those two? He had to think something up that would work to their advantage. Could she be a possible spy? Indeed she could as long as her loyalty remained to her husband, his brother, Burai. But how would his brother feel about it? Hopefully not to much.
He stood holding his blades in one hand make them look like one big weapon, then rested them on his shoulders. He began to walk out along side his brother. Then started to explain his actual plans hoping his brother would understand more. "Well If this is true....Xian is a defectee from Gongsun Zan's forces? If no one knows that. Why not use him to strike Wu under the banner of Zan? Enraged Wu will declare war on Zan. In turn will give us more time to build up our own forces. Then the weakened Wu and Zan's forces will be open for the taking. I will supply the troops for him to use of course, using the money I receive from Yuan Shao. All will be outfitted as Zan soldiers, they will attack and possibly burn down supply bases near fortresses. That will gets Wu's attention. If they were to siege anything they would just get slaughter, and Wu would just get overconfident and attack all of us."
He rubbed his chin and thought some more. "If you do not like that plan there is still the issue of Wu's growing force. And the battle between Yuan Shao alone vs. Gongsun Zan will be bad, even if we come out as the victor, our forces will be left vulnerable for attack. Information can be on our side if Wu chooses to attack us. Maybe use Yelena as a spy? But we will have to take Mizuki in as a safety precaution if she is found out." He asked wondering what his answer would be. Hiroshi knew what he was doing, he thought to precautions in case each plan would fail.

He couldn't help but frown when Burai mentioned living with his arrogance for the rest of his life, his hand going again to the one scar He was ashamed of. It'd be there for a long time, and it would always remind him that He'd failed, that He'd let his own skill and lifestyle get the better of him. Angrily rubbing it, He drained half the bottle while He listened to Burai.
When Burai got up, He drained the rest of the rest before straightening, getting ready to follow them. He glanced at Anrui as they left, wondering if She'd be allright alone here, before deciding to leave Haesten nearby, just in case. No point risking someone innocent because they underestimated the people in the city. He turned back to Burai when He heard mention of a child. "You've got a kid? I'm surprised you let it out of your sight, the way you protected this one. I'll agree to that, if you can point out those two. I'll make sure none of your family's touched, even if I have devote my entire force to it." He'd betrayed his Lord before, He wouldn't betray Burai. One shame was enough, Two was unliveable. He carefully closed the door as they left, making sure to lock it so no one would disturb Anrui.
As He followed Burai and Hiro, He paid more attention to the plan Hiro was outlining. It would work, but was it necessary to star a war? Wu was very, very far away, He'd been that far South only once. He smiled as He remembered Lady Qiao. Such beauty, and such intelligence. He focused again as they reached left the Inn, waving Haesten over from where He'd been drinking with Yan outside. Quietyl ordering him to watch their room, even if He had to sit outside, He waved him off, before kicking Yan awake and catching up to Hiro. "Perhaps a War is a bit much...Wu is as far South as you can go and still remain civilized. I've been that far South once, and I don't envy leading an entire army that far, threw other lord's domains. But consider this...What if we could stop the peace-talks, maybe get Wu upset with Yuan? We alienate them from each other, Make it impossible for them to ally. When we have a clearer avenue to their lands, Then we start a war." He'd considered earlier just what could happen if a war started, and it wasn't good for their own lands. It'd leave them almost entirely defenceless. He heard mention of Gongsun and frowned, forced to remember his own fault. "Gongsun's not a problem anymore. Without me, They have only Gongsun and one other. I know it sounds arrogant, but even without our quality they cannot beat all of us. The three of us, with a decent force, could probably take him by ourselves, nevermind whatever Yuan gives you."

Burai slowly turned his head so he could see Hiroshi. “You know her just as well as I. She is a wildflower. She won’t just settle for being a spy. If she did accept she would try to do more than asked of her. That would put her in jeopardy…” His voiced sounded uneasy, and slightly aggravated. “I appreciate the thought, she could be a valuable asset, but she her value to me is priceless. If anything happened to her cause of me. I would lose myself and go on a blinding rage, slaughtering whoever was responsible. I am not reasonable, if you think I am wrong how about later we settle it with a sparring match?” Burai and Hiroshi had a history of settling things through fighting. That was their diplomacy; spoken words through their fist, and weapons.
This was a troubling issue. If he had any weakness at all this would be his biggest one. His heart; he looked down on such feelings, mainly cause he couldn’t control them. A warrior must learn how to control his emotions and not let them get the best of him. Yet time and time again Burai failed this one way or another. “Gongsun forces are weakened now Hiroahi, that is a fact. I agree with enraging Wu, that seems suffice, but sending Xian such a long way is not possible. As he mention we are too far north. I think we should weaken their relations with the Yuans..While Yuan Shao goes to deal with the familiarities. We bolster our own troops and attack Gongsun Zan..”
Burai liked Xian’s idea, just alittle to much in fact. “Though it would be easier to attack him with Yuan Shao’s forces instead, but in return, Yuan Shao would want his territory and claim it for himself..then my promise would be extended to more areas. Thus making me have to do more work..” After speaking of Xian he turned his face forward and spoke. “She my adopted daughter; my children I lost due, to an…accident. War is inevitable; I won’t shy away from it. Simply they are too far away. If they were next door, I would’ve walked to their front gates, and challenged one of them to a duel; to test their strength.” He placed his hand on his chin. “Let us focus on Gongsun…I already dealt a vital blow. Let’s go put that wounded eagle down. We will focus on gathering our strength and worsening the relations between The Yuans and Wu..”
Burai was satisfied with this, the only obstacle in his way. Wa convincing Yuan Shao to as he wanted. This would be vital. Burai didn’t plan on Yuan Shao not listening to reason. “Hiro…Xian..If Yuan Shao, go ahead and make arrangements to worsen the relations. Throw some dirt on the Yuan name. Make sure you do it discretely. We can’t like Yuan Shao find out who the culprit is.”

It was as he expected, he still love Yelena, very much so in fact. He smiled lightly, his brother still had a heart beating inside him despite his harsh. That was what mattered most, a reason he remained so loyal was his brothers true nature. But the thing he had to worry now was Xian, was he truly going to be loyal? Or could he just be another spy. He would have to prove it through his words and actions. Using only his wrist he softly spun his bottle of sake so it could lightly twirl inside the bottle. He chuckled at his brothers comment. "Not for this one, I just had to check something is all."
He tilted his head with a sigh, with the little information he had on Gongsun Zan and the territories. He couldn't make any good strategies, only decent ones. He itched his nose and nodded, the statements were true, the distance was much to far to march for a few days attacks. But to defend himself it hasn't stop three different Wu officers to come and chat with Yuan. "So our main focus is Gongsun Zan than. I suppose it would be better to take things a step at a time. If you believe that we can take on Gongsun Zan's forces with just the three of us, we should take him out. Of course requesting to use his troop, and using one of the other officers to be a reserve. In case if things get hectic. Regardless of how much the force is weakened, we should play it safe and not get cocky." He said with a slight yawn.
It seemed that his brother was satisfied by the plans. Now the only issue was how to do it. Yuan Shao was an extremely prideful man likewise of the ruler Sun Jian. So it shouldn't be too hard to do so, but there were so many options to do so with the high chance of getting caught. "How do you want to tarnish the name of the Yuan under the name of Wu? We cannot battle them, so that is out of the question. Maybe dishonor him during a meeting with Han Dang?" He asked not really thinking to hard about it. He was thinking of the possible battle ahead first. Hoping that it won't end sour.

Xian was getting annoyed. While Burai and Hiro had continued the conversation, He'd been trying to come up with idea's to disrupt the relations between Wu and Yuan and He couldn't come up with anything that would guarantee it. The best He could come up with was a way to make the Wu ambassador look like a fool, and make it seem like Yuan was behind it, but that would take time to plan, and time they did not have. It was annoying him to no end! The sheer idea of Wu's generals, Who He'd seen charge blindly into a flaming field, being smarter then him was offensive. There had to be a way...If there wasn't going to be a battle, He couldn't risk sending Yan, Yan'd kill them if he got upset.
Turning back to the conversation, He caught Hiro and Burai discussing Gongsun. Deciding, after a second, to add his oppinion He spoke up. "Would it be possible for us to deal with Gongsun, and keep it from extending into Yuan's territories? The more land he has, the more arrogant He will be. If we could find a way to take the city, without losing control of it, We'd have our own headquarters, and not what Yuan deigns to supply us with." He'd considered it since He left Gongsun, the idea of Burai, and Hiro after He met him, taking the city alongside himself and using it as a power base. Everyone needs a home, after all...and what better then a fortified city, He had the necessary men to hold it against most forces. It was doable, but they'd have to minimize losses however possible.

Burai eyes closed, and quickly reopened; Hiroshi response to his own, left him feeling rather uneasy. “Tch..” He was annoyed by Hiroshi. Surely he was poking fun at him about his own feelings. Burai curled his hand into a fist and brought it up to his cheek; it violently shook back in forth. A sudden vein appeared by the side of his face. “I hope you aren't mocking me Hi-ro-shi~” His voice appeared to be rocky as he spoke. He was battling his own emotions, trying to keep calm, but the thought of Hiroshi mocking him, was just too much. This was a blow not just to his pride but to his heart, as well
Burai grabbed his trident, and fiercely drove it into the ground. After he impaled it, he pulled it out of the ground with an easy, and quick pull. That sudden outburst freed him of some of his aggression. “Leave Yuan Shao to me. Dishonoring him, would be unwise, especially while he pays you. I will communicate with him We don’t know how he will act, once we meet him." Burai turned his attention to Xian. “You seem to know this situation quite well. Xian I been trying to come up with a way to take Gongsun’s land and make it my own.. I lack the man power. If I could I would just kill Gongsun myself and seize control over the capital.”
Burai paused, he needed to come up with something.. The focal point was Gongsun’s city and to worsen the relations of the Yuans and Wu. “A Spy in Wu would be perfect for that.” Burai was reminded about what Hiroshi said earlier about Yelena. This cause him to wince in pain. “We’ll..put this on hold for the moment. We are about to approach the palace gates…”

He lightly itched his cheek, then playfully waved both of his hands. It seemed that Burai took his words the wrong way. It slightly offended him that his own brother would think that he would even try to offend him. Though the thought was silly he wasn't going to getting into a fight about it. After all he just wanted to see whther or not his brother still had a good heart, it was just good to see that he did. "That is hardly the case big brother." He stated playfully, while chuckling softly. He tapped his wrapped blades lightly on his shoulder. "Why would I ever mock you? There is no reason for me too." He wrapped his arm over his brother shoulder. "After all, it would be disrespectful if the little brother mocked with the big brother with intent of hurting. And you should know me I would never." He said releasing his brother.
He goes silent for the reminder of the time as they approach the gate. As much as he wanted to continue to plan this, he didn't wish for anyone to hear about it. After all that would be bad if the three were to be kicked out for treason without a home to go to. They did, after all, have a little girl to feed. Lady Anrui was still sleeping, if she awoke to no Burai she would freak and that in itself was bad. He lightly itched his nose and looked around at the grand palace before them. Such a beautiful home and they have to live in filth likewise with the people. A light smirk appeared on his face, he believed that his brother could make a difference and Xian potential won't go unnoticed. Once they and lady Anrui can live in peace and luxury so can the people of China. Hopefully that dream could be a reality. Peace in the land and equality among to people.
He looked to Burai, his brother, then to Xian a potentially great warrior as long as his arrogance won't engulf him. Then into his hand which he tightened into a fist. He was going to do everything he could to help his brother and if Xian did not betray them, he might become good friends with the man. But if and only if the man can gain his trust. But from the looks of it the three of them, can help shape China for anyone for the right price. His grin disappeared to hide what he was thinking now. He stretched out his free arm and yawned lightly and quietly. Awaiting what was to happen next.

Xian quieted as he walked behind them, Glancing round every now and then, feeling out of place in the land of a man He'd learned to hate. It didn't feel right, being in Nan Pi instead of Bei Ping. He thought back to his old lord, and a man He'd come to consider a friend. Gongsun Zan...Now an enemy, even if he was unwilling to think of him that way, yet He didn't know if He could actually bring himself to kill him. Glancing back up to Hiro and Burai, He sighed slightly, before finally accepting that his old life was over. He'd lost that when he gained his...mark. From now on, He fought with a Demon, and He would become a Devil as part of his penance. He'd never let his arrogance get the best of him again, and He would prove He could be trusted to Burai. No matter the cost.
Dragging himself from his thoughts, Xian focused on Burai when he realized that he was talking to him. Nodding slightly in agreement to stay quiet, He quietly spoke. "Forgive me, but if He mocks me or makes any comments towards how I came to join you, I will be forced to respond. I made a mistake, and I have to live with that, but I won't have a man who doesn't know me judge me on it. Going quite for a minute, Xian gathered his thoughts on what He was going to say next. "You told me before that you may be a Demon, but you had your honour. If your truly a demon, then I am to become a Devil for following you, and I can live with that. I just hope you remember that honour, and do not let your own power go to your head. Men like Yuan, who're arrogant for others achievements, are infectious cancers." He turned to look forward, seeing the Palace as they got closer, quietly wondering to himself again if he made the right choice. So far, Burai had proven himself true to his word, but perhaps his selfishness in choosing to live could cause worse chaos then his death. Only time would tell.
