Discovering New Allies

[Zhang Smith]

Zhang Smith after arriving in Wu was checking out what he would be calling home. He was slowly moving his equipment from his horse to his new residence. After he was finished packing he begun his little journey around Wu. He was talking with the peasents, guards learning more and more about Wu's history. When walking past the main gate he noticed a man just arriving in town. He noticed when the man got off his horse he was limping around. Zhang Smith made his way over to this man. " Hey Buddy need some assistance?"

[Cao Cao]

"Thank you sir. I just need to get over to that bench right there." Zhi then put his arm around the man as he walked him over to the bench. As they were walking, Zhi said, "Thank you, wait, I do not think I have met you before. Sir, are you new to the city of Wu?"

[Zhang Smith]

Zhang Smith helped the man over towards the bench."Yes Sir I am knew rode in the other day, My Name is Zhang Smith also I've been known from my nickname 'The Immortal' Smith grinned as the words 'The Immortal' came out of his mouth. They arrived at the bench and Smith helped him down on it. "Whats Your name, and what happened to your leg? Wait one second" Smith hurried to a nearby shop, taking a small box. He made his way back to the man and propped up his leg.

"My name is Zhi Fang. I am an officer of Sun Jian. It is great to see a new face around here. Well, I was in Nan Pi, watching Yuan Shao, learning about him etc. Well I was disguised as a Instructor and a officer of Yuan Shao wanted practice. I had to fight him. Things got a little too far and he stomped on my leg, breaking it in the process. The Immortal huh? Have you been in battle Zhang?"As Zhi was saying this, he relaxed on the bench. His leg was in some serious pain.

Zhang just looked at Zhi Fangs leg and thought to himself Holy Crap, he must be really strong to be able to move around like that on a freshly broken leg. Smith listened to the question the Zhi Fang asked and when he heard it he looked at the ground remember his only major battle. Smith decided it was time for a little story.

"Yes Sir I have seen battle. Only one and it was when i was a lot Younger I think maybe 10 years ago. I was a blacksmith no intention of becoming a fighter. I just finished making my sword that i currently use, my saif. However i went to bed for the night and bandits raided my village. They massacured everyone and I was the only surivivor. I was left sevearly wounded, and they left me to die. However I was saved by a farmer from another village. After i recovered from my wounds, I crafted the finest armour I've everseen. I hunted down those bandits by myself and killed them all. Before I killed the last one he called me an Immortal because I just wouldnt die, and thats where i got that nickname from. My first and only battle." Smith felt a tear roll down his cheek as he thought about his family. He wished that he could have one more moment with them. He looked up at the sky and closed his eyes, saying to himself. "I Know You watch over me, and one day we will be together again"

Smith wiped the tear of his face, stood up and walked over towards, Zhi Fangs broken leg."I've learned a few things about treating broken bones. May I take a look at your leg?"

[Cao Cao]

"My thoughts and prayers go to your family. I don't usually agree with revenge but I know that you made your family proud. Do not cry about the past because it can't be changed. You must live in the present to build a better future. What harm could it be? Sure, take a look."Zhi looked and smiled at Zhang. He was very kind at helping somebody he had just met. It was great to know that Wu had somebody like him on their side.

Smith knew a little about broken bones. He had been traveling across china for some time now and he has had his fair share of broken limbs. He crouched down by his leg slowly lifting it up and examining it. "Hmm Yes a bad break I see, I think i can do something to help it for now." Smith whistled for one of the guards. "Hey You Men, go to my hut and grab the leather and rope off my table, and a couple of my spear shafts. Be quick." The guards nodded their heads and quickly took off. "While we wait, tell me why did you join Lord Sun Jian?"

[Cao Cao]

Zhi thanked the guards as they left. He then turned to Zhang and replied"I have joined him to further his goals. His dream is to unify China under one banner, his banner as well as bring peace to the people that they deserve. I will die for him and his goal. His ambition shall be the one that unites China. I shall see to that personally! So how about you? Why have you joined the Tiger?"

[Zhang Smith]

"I've heard great things about Lord Sun Jian in my travels. Ive learned he his one for the people as well he has strong ambitions. I want to help unify this land under the banner of Sun Jian. I'm sick of seeing people suffering from all this chaos. I believe lord Sun Jian is the one to end this." Smith seen the guards coming at the corner of his eyes. When the guards reached Smith they placed everything on the guard. Smith looked through the stuff and seen exactly what he asked for. Leather, rope, and four spear shafts. "Very Good work men, and as for you Zhi Fang, are you still okay with what I'm about to do? You may feel a lot of pain at first, however it will heal a lot quicker"

Zhi nodded at Zhang. He had faced a lot harder things than this. If it made the leg heal faster then it was worth it. Zhi braced himself for the pain and said,"Bring it on."Zhi looked around and he noticed the guards. He once again thanked them for their help.

No Worries Mate)

After hearing the okay Zhang grabbed the leg and snapped the bones in alignment. Not only was Zhi Fang's leg badly broken the bones were a little dislocated as well. Smith looked at one of the guards "Hey You hold his leg tight in this position do not let it move." The guard did what Smith said. Smith then grabbed a spear shaft and broke it into to pieces.

He then placed them on either side of Zhi's leg. Smith grabbed the leather and firmly wrapped it around the leg so the sticks wouldn't move. Smith pulled out his Saif and cut a piece of rope in to two big pieces, and then 2 small pieces. He then tied the a small piece of rope around the top part of the leather, and the second at the bottom. This ensured that this would add support to the leg of Zhi, so he could somewhat use it. "Doing good Zhi, that hard part is done. This can ensure that your leg is protected and will not do any more damage unless someone else steps on it.

Smith reached over and grabbed the two remaining spear shafts. He tied the remainder of the rope around it so they stuck together. "Here use this to support yourself walking. Apply as much weight through the stick so you use less of your leg. Understood? Smith stood up and sat on the bench beside Zhi Fang. "Well Sir Fang how does it feel?

[Cao Cao]

That hurt a lot more than he expected but as usual, he didn't show it. Zhi tried out the crutches. They felt a little awkward at the beginning but after a little bit it felt alright. Zhi replied to Zhang, "I understand sir. That feels a lot better. Thank you so much. I do not know how I can repay you for this. I am now in your debt." Zhi smiled at Zhang. He put his hand out for Zhang to shake.

Wu.

It was only recently that Cheng Pu had heard of the news. What had happened between the forces of Wu and the forces of Nan Pi... Basically, while Lord Sun Jian had purposefully sent a messenger, Han Dang specifically, to Nan Pi to negotiate further reassurance of peace with Yuan Shao, while at the same time, well... Unexpected things were happening somewhere close by in the north, unknown to all, but only for just so long. Yes, it had been a hostile occurrence. None other than a duel, between one of Wu and one of Nan Pi, for whatever reason.

Fools.

Demou had received news that Zhi Fang had returned to Wu only just recently. Immediately preparing himself, he walked down the main street of the city in search of the returning. And there he was, sitting upon the bench next to the main gate, being treated by Zhang Smith, supported by some sort of makeshift crutches. Approaching the two, Cheng Pu nodded his head as a quick sign of greeting before he stopped in front of them.

"So I see you've returned, General Zhi."

[Zhang Smith]

Smith watched as Zhi tried out the crutches. He looked awkward on them at first but seem to get the hang of it. Zhi reached his hand out to Smith, and Smith then reached out and shook his hand. "No Worries Zhi Fang, the least I could do for a fellow comrade." Smith then noticed another man coming toward's him, it was Cheng Pu. Smith stood their listening to their what Pu had to say to Zhi Fang.

Zhi turned to where Zhang was looking. He saw someone coming there way. Zhi took a closer look and saw that it was Cheng Pu, Zhi's close friend. Zhi began to slowly walk towards him with the help from the crutches and said, "Yes I have, it is good to be home. It is also good to see you my friend. Is there something you would like to speak about Demou?"Zhi then crouched down and scratched his broken leg quickly, and got back up to hear Demou's response.
