The Quest for Allegiance Continues...

[Nohime]

Nohime saw that Hiroshi planned to try and strike her. She glared at him, prepared to lash out her wicked, hidden claws. However, just as she was about to counter, he stopped, due to Burai's words. Soon the men began to talk once more, and Nohime quickly relaxed to not make this moment any more tense. She listened to Hiroshi's proposition intently. She would have laughed if she had already joined another kingdom, but she was more intrigued.

"Well, it's a possibility," she replied. "However, I'm still looking around. So I can't quite say that I shall join you just yet. I'll tell you what, as soon as I've made a decision, you'll be one of the first to know?"

She was about to start walking away, believing that what these two were planning couldn't just end up in her death, but could somehow end in hers as well. Then Burai began to speak, this time not only talking about what he and his brother were planning, but also about Yuan Shao. Basically what she got from the whole conversation was, 'If you join us, you pretend like you work for Yuan Shao, then stay with us when we defect'. It was perfectly legitimate, in all honesty, and she was sure that they could probably pull it off.

[Hiro]

In the little moment of his older brother cold words, his dreams of an equal world for the people. A world where the voice of the crying people could be heard and their thirst prosperity quenched. He did not know what his brother had in store for his new world. But he could only feel that his own world was going to crash and burn. He gripped his blades tightly as a measure to keep himself calm, he has thought he was an equal to his brother and for a time more skilled than his brother. But it seems that was no longer the case, he was in fact in the shadow of his demon brother. His already almost closed eyes shut lightly then he turned away from the two of them, no longer caring what the woman does, if she chooses to join great, but he would keep an eye over her.

Because there was one thing about him that made Burai angry at him for a time and that was his loyalty. His loyalty to Shu was unbelievable, only second, eventually, to Burai. He had to shallow his pride and his belief of them being equal, in order for him to serve his brother. Granted, if Nohime did make a remark he had to show her why he was called a demon. As much as a gentlemen that he was, he was after all a demon. If she liked the ridiculous acts of vulgar lust, she could take it. But he was no longer in a mood to fiddle around.

Finally after much thought, he slightly turned his head to his brother. "Right, your organization, brother." He said in his usual casual and serene tone. He began to walk away not caring about anything at the moment, letting his blades cut the ground before raising them back up to rest on his shoulders. He grew wary of the company that he was thinking of keeping, only reason he wishes to keep it is the level of potential she had. This was a one time only offer and it was a simple yes or no. If yes they would make decent if not great allies, if not she would just be another cur being trampled under their mens and horses feet."Whatever, just tell me or my brother soon. You seem good, but not that good. A person can wait for only so long." He said with his normal and light tone ready for a strike from her if it were to happen.

[Yen Wang (Burai)]

"Lady Nohime, think about your choice wisely..." Burai was done talking for the most. It seemed as if Nohime understood their situation. He wouldn’t mind seeing that face around Nan Pi more often. Burai watched his brother throw a small tantrum. It was to be expected, this would’ve happened soon or later. Though he wanted to happen later, seems as if he had to deal with it now. Hiroshi would have to battle his own demon; his pride. Burai didn’t have time for such trivial things. Hiroshi was his brother. Yet even amongst family siblings had rivialries. This was far beyond that to Burai; when it came to his future army, he was in control of that. He couldn’t allow his brother to walk that same path.

“I’m glad you thought it through Hiro..” Burai could tell that he was rather hurt by his words. His actions proved to be worthwhile. Burai was fascinated by this new attitude. If Hiroshi were to bare his fangs at Burai. He wouldn’t hesitate to muzzle him. Burai trust in Hiroshi was boundless. He knew that Hiroshi was only looking out for their best interest. But Burai had to look out for his own best interest, including those that followed him. He would do it his way. Even if he had to break a few egg shells to do so. He would put every one of his followers in check. They needed to be at the best of their abilities.

Nohime arched an eyebrow as Hiroshi walked away, seemingly very irritated. She turned to Burai. "Is he angry for a reason?" she asked. "Did my teasing scare him off?" Again, she was merely kidding, but there was a bit of truth in it. He started to act a bit standoffish when she started to be more forward, yet still teasing, with her advances. She then listened to Burai speak about her choosing a force wisely.

"Oh believe me, I wouldn't join a force unless I was absolutely positive that they could handle me," she replied with a smirk.
