Sun Jian smiled, as he looked around at the surroundings, then back at Mei, "It is very beautiful here", as he took a seat next to her, "But while the chaos remains, many people cannot enjoy the beauty of life", he paused to take the chance to enjoy the moment, as he put his arm round her. He didn't know what else to say, but as the saying goes, actions speak louder than words, so Mei would know that he was giving her the chance to speak.

Mei sighed softly with a delicate smile on her face. She leaned her head against Jian's chest and listened to his heartbeat. She closed her eyes and enjoyed this feeling of closeness between them. After a while, though, she started to feel a sort of impatience rise within her, not towards him, but to the other matters at hand. She opened her eyes half way. "I am ready for these wars to end..." she whispered. "I am ready to see you seize control of this land one day and end the chaos, so that others, not just you and I, can enjoy the beauty nature has to offer..."

"In all good time Mei. In all good time", he added with a smile, "That day is going to take some time, but for starters, we shall begin with our homeland of Jiangdong before going furthur", as he took his arm round her waist so they could both relax.
