Who do you think deserved to unify China?

I know what happened in history, but who do YOU think should have unified China? I am going to go with Wei, even though I don't like them I think that they really did deserve to unify China. Also, please state why you think that.

And because he is chivalrous and honorable - The Sun family are as well but they are also too loyal for their own good.. and Cao Cao and his family are evil warlords.

You yourself didn't even state why.

I'll have to go with Wei as well, both because I am biased in my love of the azure banner, and because Liu Bei was an indecisive ruler with an unnecessary, over-flowing "OMFG MY PEOPLE ARE PRECIOUS" thing in comparison to Cao Cao. Wu, on the other hand, didn't really have much of a batch of talented rulers or officers, for that matter, just some nice southern land where they could have been left undisturbed for the longest while. And to look at it technically... Cao Cao held the emperor near-hostage in Luo Yang, seal and every necessary means of representing the Son of Heaven. In other words, it was easily acceptable upon official terms that Wei could easily declare themselves rightful ruler of the empire anwyay.

Just my small thought on that. Someone prove me wrong. *eyes Colby*

I'm not saying Wu was a bunch of total losers, it's just that with the more talented men of Shu and Wei existing at the same time on rival, they just never had much of a chance to get light on their own abilities.

Technically if humans, greed and the hunger for war didn't exist then their wouldn't be a need for unification - but the Han failed several times over and someone need to rise up and take control. Personally; if Liu Bei and his Kingdom of the Shu Han was completed like it existed within the Romance of the Three Kingdoms - then they deserved to unify China. Not only did they have a Imperial Bloodline but they also fought in some of the deadliest battles, lost the most, protected the people and still lasted extremely long with such a small force. I think the joint ruling of Liu Bei and Zhuge Liang of the China would've been amazing for the country at the time.

However, Shu is idolized within Romance of the Three Kingdoms which leaves only one choice of Kingdom to take control. The only other man who could ever challenge and ever defeat Liu Bei. Cao Mengde. Almost a complete constrast from the charismatic Liu Bei; but he held every trait he would ever need, firm, strict but power leaked from him. An extremely smart man also, even from a young age. He wasn't afraid to do things and personally I believe he was a natural born leader from birth.

However it comes down to several different factors at the end of the day and it cannot be simply named upon one man or one reason. Historically Wei would've won. They had the majority, more generals, technically the richer cities and the large land space. Shu and Wu held on long and put up a good fight; but it was only a matter of time.

If we are going to be technically speaking, the Jin dynasty started by Sima Zhao who may have been from Wei, but went around the back of the emperor's council tok take over. So realistically none of the three kingdoms won, in a way the Sima family took over, and just used Wei to get what they wanted.

But on the question of who deserved it, that is shu.
No matter what basis you have Liu Bei and Shu have always been recognized in both the novel and chinese history as a benevolent and kind nation. He was a fairly intellectual man himself, and had very loyal followers.

Wei grew from ambitious yet just, to the cruel bureaucracy that they fought to destroy (As soon as Cao Mengda died and the Sima family used the Cao's as puppets).
And Wu, while not a bad nation at all, served as a family nation and less of a China unified nation. If the Sun took over then all of the unification process probably would have been in vein as a civil war would be yet again imminent.

I do kind of agree with you, he was the only one (not 100% sure about this) to have the guts to stand up to the Han and I find that pretty cool
