A DWRP Central Olympics?

Okay, so, everyone knows the Olympics in Beijing are in just a few days. Well, somehow I got thinking, with Olympics, and China, and all that...how about we have sort of an Olympics of our own? Well, not really a competition of any sort or anything. Not even really an Olympics, you don't have to call it that. But more of an awards thing more than anything. I look at some of the people who have been rping around here, and I think that they deserve some good credit for what they do (karma points are good, but I think they should be recognized more). So, for the hardworking RPers of Dynasty Warriors RP Central, I think there should be some form of awards, call it Olympics, call it Oscars, call it Macaroni and Cheese, whatever. You may have seen stuff like this on other forums. Basically, there are different categories that people can win awards for, and members nominate people who they think deserve that award. There is a certain time period (a few days or so) in which they can nominate members. Then there is a time period for voting, in which all the members vote for whichever nominee they choose. So...let the games begin...^_^"...that is, if people like the idea...^_^(insert sweatdrop the size of the Three Kingdoms)

Its been done a few times before i think but not for ages, not sure how we would run it however.

This could be pretty fun to see what people think, the thing is we'd need mostly everyone to vote on every single section because of our low population at the moment.

Yeah, I do agree with that. We'd kind of need everyone to vote on...well, everything. Still, Cao Dai has a point, it could get more people active, at least.

I am sorry it took so long for me to say anything, I wanted to comment after being able to read it thoroughly and not be rushed

I LOVE the idea. I would like to advertise in a few more areas and get more active members, so the list isn't small We can set it up in the random talk. I like the categories you suggested too! We are in slow-mo at the moment (with the sudden changes) and I'd like to give people a chance to update their profile before picking their rp. There's quite a few rps I need to move too

Overall, I think this is something that should be done, in a few weeks maybe we should set it up and do a couple weeks of voting. Sound good?

Lol they sure do and I think after I have done all the designing for v3 I will start this right away. I don't want it to be a monthly thing but I also want to start it at the beginning of a month Just seems more planned and better.
