As in DW6 there are small variations to weapons due to what type they are. From what I can gather, Meng Huo will have 3 different looking weapons.
He will have that pole, a tree, and what I believe to be a giant piece of fruit.

Save Files:- You always start with Level 1 for Character's Level, but you can have certain data carry over or start with a certain amount for certain things by using "Points" IF AND ONLY IF you choose "LOAD" from your finished/conquered play file when you want to start a new Empire/Officer mode. (Indeed, this is like "New Game+" in Kessen III)
- MAX Saving Files = 30 (each file = 631 KB)
- However, the "Game Process Save Files" and "Game Data (for Galleries, Movies, etc.) Save File" are saving separately. Therefore, you can complete the collections by using the 2 saves trick.
Gameplay:- Anyone can all a horse (It's the same from DW6, in which you called a "generic" horse if you did not mount one).
- The attacks are still the same from DW6. However, there is no longer the Renbu bar. Instead, you have to power up your weapons via Blacksmith (similar to Xtreme Mode). All weapons are MAX at Lv 10, in which each 3 levels will increase 1 rank of Renbu (aka. 1 more attack move) with Lv 10 as "Infinite" rank.
- There is no more "Annex" rule. You are required to take all lands one-by-one, even though you burst into the "Commander" home base.
- You are REQUIRED to defeat the "Leading Officer" in order to take the land. Even your side take all bases, the battle does not end. Also, the "Leading Officer" can take quite sometimes to kill (even on Novice), so spare around 5 minutes for this purpose.
- Sometimes, an officer may challenge you at the beginning of the battle. He/she will be power up similar to the "Leading Officer." If you manage to defeat him/her, your force's morale will get boost (There maybe more than that, but I really see other effects yet).
- Surprise Attack can be done only on certain areas by pressing L2 + R2 at the EXACTLY same time, in which it will activate 20 seconds countdown clock at lower right. If you manage to jump down into a base before time run out, it will activate the fire attack on that base and the enemy's HP drop heavily. Whereas, the Surprise Attack will fail if either an enemy officers found you before you reach the base or the Surprise Attack time run out.
- The highest amount of officers you can hold are 16 officers (any combination between Musou Generals and Generics). However, you can take only 4 Musous and 4 Generics in a battle at a time. [This is for Commander Mode, not sure about Officer/Ronin Mode yet. Playing as Ronin at this moment.]
- You are now don't need to worry about "2-Fronts Attack At Once" anymore, since you are now required to play ALL defensive battles that enemies' forces are currently attacking to your force.
- Generals have the highest troops at 20000 on Level 40, in which after that generals are only gain stats up to Level 50.
- Highest amount of money you can hold is 99999.
- There is ONLY ONE skill tree, for all officers and you have to BUY those skills in the shop!
- You can modify the abilities the weapons you like via Blacksmith with Jewelries and Minerals that you obtained from various battles/missions. (MAX = 6 abilities and 4 types of specials)
- The "Mission Battles" are similar from DW5:XL, in which you have the main objective and 3 other optional objectives that can obtain more money.
CAW:- You have 100 slots for CAW. You started with a few sets of armor pieces. You may use DLC for more armor pieces, but the rest you have to unlock in the game.
- I obtained most of the armor pieces in Missions from Officer Mode. I was able to get certain pieces random from Empire Mode as well. However, I don't know exact conditions at the moment.
- You can adjust CAW in more depth details. (For each gender, there are 20 hair styles, 20 hair colors, 10 skin colors, 3 faces forms, 6 eyes forms, 6 nose forms, 6 mouth forms, and 9 face equip (+1 for "None")). However, the space for name is limited, so don't think a long character name.
- A lot of armors are basically from DWO, RTKO, and DW5:XL.
- Even though you don't have CAW create in your file, you may encounter "Sample Edit Officers" in various Missions.
Others:- The "Visual Database (aka Camp)" are now required points to unlock. You have to do all of the requirements on the "Achievement List" in order to unlock all of them. Those requirements are various from defeat 2000 troops, achieve victory with 1000 KO and WITHOUT LOSE ANY HEALTH, all the way to complete an episode (either as Commander or Officer).
- Trophies are basically just achieve victory for Musou Generals and complete the episodes for most of them.
- There are a total of 4 episodes + 1 Fictional episode. It's the same from DW5:Empires, but removed the "Battle of Hu Lao Gate" (Garr... Why? I don't know really...)
