Here is something of an explanation of the renbu system, and there seems to be charge attacks:

Square= renbu combo, which is infinite, so you can spam square nonstop. The higher the renbu gauge the more different animations will be in the combo before repeating.

Triangle= charge attacks.

tap triangle for a combination charge attack. The higher the renbu gauge the more times you can press triangle to get more hits. Hold triangle for a single powerful charge attack which is normally a wide area sweeping move of some sorts, but the hold charge attacks tend to be useless unless the character is high level.

essentially they gave you less charge attacks for the sake of my versatility, so instead of having to hit so many times before reaching a charge attack you want, you can now just use whichever you like anytime hold, or tap.

L1+square= light grab attack

L1+triangle= charge grab attack

Grabs are good when fighting officers. They deal a huge amount of damage to a single enemy, and other enemies can sometimes get caught up in the animations, but they can be hard to hit sometimes, and if you don't hit with them while facing directly at the opponent the grab animation won't happen. While grabs are a nice touch they seem like they take more effort than they are worth, and most officers will block light grabs, and roll away from charge grabs.

DW6 NEWS

It SEEMS that you can no longer play on the opposite side of battles that are "one-sided". Let me explain.

In DW2 Free Mode, and I'm guessing beyond that, you were allowed to play as The Yellow Turbans at The Yellow Turban Rebellion. Well, not anymore. Same goes for Dong Zhuo's Forces at Hulao Gate, and Yuan Shao's Forces at Guandu.

Yellow Turban Rebellion= You can only play as The Han Forces in Free Mode.
Hulao Gate= Only the Allied Forces in Free Mode.
Guandu= Cao Cao's Forces in Free Mode only.

I will have to admit, this makes playing as Zhang Jiao, Dong Zhuo, and Yuan Shao, very strange on those levels (if that's what you do; they're three of my favourites, so I do.)

OTHER NEWS

THE HORSE SYSTEM- GETTING UNIQUE HORSES: RED HARE, HEX MARK, AND SHADOW.

First and foremost the first hard part is getting both the Eyes are described as "X—…–œÛ" and Body is described as "_X‚µ‚¢ godly". Once you have those descriptions on the Red Horse, Dark Blue Horse, and White horse then save those horses. Now for the worst part ever, is that you will have to train these horses, and even if you do reach level 5, it's mainly based on random chance weither that horse will change to it's unique form or absolutely not at all. This can get worse then severely frustrating; this did happen to a player once and she wasnot happy with this horse system at all.

However, the mistake was made the hard way, and she managed to get another white horse with both descriptions, and saved the game when she got the horse.

"This time however, I did not save the game at all when I was training the horse. It took me about an hour of constantly training and loading the save game back to where the horse was at level 1 untouched. Then eventually when I got to level 5 for about the 4th time, it actually changed to the unique Hex Mark King." ---- Yushiro


Also, you are going to need to Max out Liu Bei, Zhen Ji, and just in case Xiao Qiao since those are the characters that have the Weapon/Horse Luck skill in their skill tree. This will increase your chances of getting those rare horses with those descriptions that I mentioned on top. Without that skill, you basically have no chance of getting the unique horses, and it plays a huge factor in turning those horses into Red Hare, Shadow King, or Hex Mark when using Liu Bei, Zhen Ji, and Xiao Qiao when leveling those horses. I know this will get tedious at best, but bear with this fact.

Anyways STEP 1 is to get the Red, Dark Blue, and White horses with the Eyes are described as "X—…–œÛ" and Body is described as "_X‚µ‚¢ godly", then save your game once you do get them. STEP 2 is to level them up to 5 with Liu Bei, Zhen Ji, or Xiao Qiao with the Weapon/Horse Luck skill, and pray that they turn to their unique horse form without saving your game at all until you do get the unique horse.

Otherwise, you would have made a regretable mistake, and end up beyond frustrated if you have saved inbetween so....absolutely....DO NOT SAVE while leveling up the horses until you reach level 5 to find out if it does turn into a UNIQUE HORSE!!!

STEP 3 is when that horse does turn to its unique form, now it's safe to save your game and enjoy your Red Hare King, Shadow King, and Hex Mark King.

Hoping that this will help out everyone that will attempt to get those ultra hard unique horses without having to go through constant amounts of frustration and pain. Well good hunting everyone that gets the game and good luck with those unique horses. Get one, and you'll only have two more left to get!

Q: "*gasp*How do you get Magnificant Eyes and Godly Bodies?!"

A: To get both the magnificant eyes and godly body...This is the part where you might absolutely get frustrated, but this is completely a random horse drop and it depends on which horse color it is.

The only good news is that you don't have to play on Chaos mode to get those kinds of horses.You only have to play on Easy difficulty to recieve the ultra rare horses which is the only good thing that I can say.This is the main part that could take up to hours or even a solid day of constant playing. As I mentioned, this may not be fun going through this mess at all, but it'll make the search for unique horses a bit easier.

As for the save part, only save when you do get the horse with both descriptions (Level 1), and when you start to level up your horse, do not save at all, not even intern save so that way if you didn't get the unique horse, you can just load your save game back to where your horse is still at level 1. I know it'll take some time, but it's really better to be safe than make that huge mistake.

At the End Stage Result, when your potential horse reaches level 5, there is a chance that it'll become the unique horse. This is after you have cleared the Stage and going through the results. Also I'll show you a prime example pic of the two descriptions that you'll need and then look at my first post for the symbols. Then you'll have a good idea as to what to look for.

Note: Regular Horses can also do elemental attacks now, so they are also more useful in battle than before. Don't ignore this chance to get Red Hare, Hex Mark, or Shadow. This are very powerful horses.

Yeah, when I first heard about it, I was totally confused. The fact that you cannot save during battles or even save at all, is the worst part. But since there are no unique 4th weapons to get, you don't need to save for that, just this in the end.

Like Liu Bei, I'm going to go with the flow when I get it. But as I was typing this, I was starting to get it. And yes, there is a new team in charge of the production this time, so that may be why there are so many changes.

A: Since most people will play/are playing on the PS3, the save system is pretty easy to follow. When you do get the Magnificant Godly Horse it'll always begin at level 1. On the PS3, it'll tell you if you want to override the save game, that's part you want to save your game. Now, when you're going through the levels and start progressing that horse to level 2-5, you don't want to override your save at all yet, and no, it won't revert your horse going back to level 1 unless you do load your game that goes back to the last save point.

Basically keep on playing, leveling up that horse to level 5 without saving your game, since you'll still progress foward without saving it and see if it does turn into a unique horse.

If it truly does turn into Red Hare, Shadow, or Hex Mark, then you can finally save your game and the horse. If it doesn't turn into it's unique horse then you can go ahead and load your game back to that save point and restart leveling up that horse again until you do get it eventually.

The best and easiest way to level up your horse one level at a time, and while attempting to get the unique horse, is to get at least 50 kills and playing on Easy difficulty.
Then run straight to the commander and kill him off quickly. You can do this very easily on Battle of Fan Castle since it'll only take just 1 minute to kill off Guan Yu and the battle is already over.

Use this stage for horse hunting, since the Horse Box can be received on the way to the commander. (I'll give everyone the picture link; the Horse Box is marked with a green circle as to where the player got the Horse Box.)
Basically, you can just run up with the horse, grab the Horse by hitting the box while still on your horse, and then run straight for Guan Yu and kill him all within a minute.

(Whew! That's that! Once you get into the follow of the game, I'm sure this won't seem very hard. It makes getting unique horses the old way, seem easy. I regret complaining now! LOL )

Yea I really like the idea of the horses turning into the Red Hair etc. Its something different to the game, wow lots of changes happening Are there any new horses being added? I want a unique white one

Well, I'm guessing that you start off with horses that are unqiue to the generic horses that the other officers have. And yeah, there is a White one I beleive , and he eventually becomes Hex Mark. I saw Zhou Yu riding him.

So what the white horse becomes the Hex Mark.... I want a horse that turns in to a white one.
