EDIT: So they have Da Qiao in artwork...but not in the game? Thats kinda weird.

I believe that little girl is Xing Cai which makes more sense then having her as a character.

well if they have pics of the characters then its one of these possibilities:

1. they can actully be played and whoever made the rumor should be ashamed

2. They will be unlockable characters in extension games

3. they will be NPC that still look different from other NPC chars.

Well its no rumour, the people in (China, Japan whichever) already have it. No sight of Da Qiao. Xing Cai is only a little girl in the artwork IF thats even her.

It is XIng Cai, and yes it does make more sense, doesn't it? I think the reason they had her in there was because they wanted to have a potential "Love Triangle" thing going on between her, Guan Ping, and Liu Shan.

Someone has unlocked pretty much all the characters already, and still no sign of Da Qiao or Jiang Wei. They're the two that are missed the most it seems. Pang De, Zuo Ci, and the Nanmans are not really being mourned. Wait, I take that back...Zhu Rong is.

It's funny...one of the reasons Xiao is there and not Da, is because she is more popular. But the word is that people are not playing as her. They're unlocking her, for the sake of the game though. That's what I've been hearing anyways. I always liked Da Qiao over Xiao Qiao...

personally i never played them that often, and when i did i got my bro to play the other one. with just one of them its totally lost it.

And Jiang Wei was one of my Favorite characters!!!!! and Cao Pi told me to mention that he is angry about Pang De as well.

sorry for the double post guys but i have gone to the Koei site and seen a pic of every character for DW6 and checked it with all the original characters. its true, all teh characters mentioned above are no longer playable.
That includes:
Da Qiao for Wu
Pang De for Wei
Xing Cai and Jiang Wei for Shu
Nanman, Zuo Ci, Fu Xi and Na Wa from Other officers.

personally since i have heard nothing about it... anywhere and nobody every telling anywon i assume that there will not be any.

Yea I didnt think that there will be since they have preety much edited every single character.....So in some sense they are new characters.

Now, it has been said/confirmed that there are differences in their musous, their special R1 attacks. Minor differences in their movesets are noticable as you advance along the skill tree, so do not be alarmed. I suggest this: play with your favorites. If they are clones of someone you don't like, then you don't have to worry about anything. If they are, just remember they change slightly.

EDIT: Characters are not considered clones, you should consider them similar. "No Charge Attack" is questionable, due to the renbu sytem capabilites.

I have a friend whom I've known for a very long time, who lives in Japan, and his father works for KOEI, and he "whispers" little bits on information to me. If he says anything worth posting here, I'll will post it right away!

Personally and honestly, I think this kind of sucks. DW5 was such a great game and with DW6 with very little to do, I may just not buy it. The costumes may be much better, but there are cut characters and honestly I don't like the fact that the characters have such similar weapons.

i think that except for the characters it is great. but if this is true then they have almost totally screwed up lots of them.

Well, sure they got rid of alot of stuff that made it good, but you have to admit that all the stuff they added makes up for it. Like the battles are alot more massive now then in previous titles; you can't even see your allies, and the peons keep coming, and coming, and coming. There's missions during battles too.

Another example would be this: Diao Chan seems to "dance" with her whip, while Zhen Ji is more elegant and lady-like, like always.

I have some more news, but it might not be so bad depending on how you look at it:

Remeber how I said there where three types of weapons? Speed, Power, and Technique? Well, the characters with Musou modes will have different-looking weapons. Like Zhao Yun's Speed weapon will look different from his Power weapon, and his Technique weapon will look diferent from his Speed weapon.

BUT!

Characters who are playable only in Free Mode, like Sun Ce, will only have one version of their weapons. The weapon you see in their CG artwork, is their only weapon look. Sorry. But you have to admit, most of the weapons look very cool!
