Jiang Wei didn't do much in History so i think they AXE him since he really didn't have a story to tell. All the characters that are Cut are the ones that are not very important in History and didn't have a story to tell.
The rediculous this is that Da Qiao got Axe but Xiao Qiao didn't.

Da Qiao, Zhu Rong, Meng Huo and Zuo Ci are all good cuts, I am sorry to have Jiang Wei and Pang De go though, they were good characters, though I also understand Jian Wei's cut.
Zuo Ci should never have been a character anyway... talk about cheap...

Zuo Ci should never have been a character anyway... talk about cheap... Apparently Zuo Ci was a 300 year old Taoist that actually appeared in the legend. As fake as it sounds I was told there is historical evidence that he appeared in the legend. |

My personal opinion? Well, I think it'd be downright STUPID to make this a permanent cut, especially of characters who have been in so many games. No more Spearsome? Only one Qiao (although Da appears in the background of Xiao Qiao's artwork for DW6 in an updated outfit)? No Nanman campaign (They always have the catchiest music!)? Psh. I think the characters were cut because of the memory constraints on the game itself. Moving to a new platform means you need to show off with new features, better graphics, and therefore more memory constraints, and they might have cut the characters from the game to provide for some of the more central warriors. I think they scraped a bit from each kingdom. Most likely to add some anticipation for 6XL (since in the past, only a few minor features have been added to the XLs opposed to the original games) they will add the characters into that game. That will make the combined games far more spectacular. This may mean that characters will appear but not be playable. It might be like in DW3XL, and they'll make their appearance for the DW6XL game, if there is one. All the characters that are Cut are the ones that are not very important in History and didn't have a story to tell. Only 17 of the characters have story mode, I've heard.  |

She's a lot easier to control. I think Da's was indeed an awkward choice if they were leaving Xiao in there, but hey, I guess Koei thought it was a good idea. *shrug* I still think they're not gone forever. They'll be back for XL. She and the others have simply been in the series far too long to be cut permanently like that (excusing the newbies like Pang De and Zuo Ci). |

also if any of you guys remember, Xing Cai was cut too.... this was probably because she was completely fake and never existed =P

Yeah I know but she was still a good character, they shouldv'e kept her and got rid of someone like Pange De, cause he is poo.
