So the olympics are coming to my home country this year. Anyone know anyone who is taking part? Who do you think will come out with the most golds? Whats your favourite events? And will we ever finish building the stadium in time?

Yeah I find that! Like I didnt realise how many activities are now counted as a sport and are in the Olympics

2 kids from my school apparently represented the England hockey team at the Beijing Olympics. I find the sport boring though, so I didnt really look out for them. Cant remember how we did in it either.
I'll watch as much as I can in 2012, out of patriotic spirit. By then I'll be out of uni and in a job, so hopefully I'll have some cash saved up to go down and enjoy the olympic atmosphere. I usually only watch track and field, athletics, weight lifting, tennis, some swimming (due to the competitive aspects), and gymnastics, cause its pretty fascinating. And I sadistically want to see someone fall off and break a limb...
Oh, and I watch boxing, cause I'm quite into that. My interest in sport keeps growing - who knows, I might be fascinated by table tennis in 2012!

I hope someone gets injured with a javelin this year. I've been waiting all my life for that. Table tennis isn't my thing either, though it is demanding as a sport and does deserve a place.
