Story of the Month [August 2009]

Rules:
Well basically its a stroy writing contect, the stories will be judged on imagination, use of language and content. Try to keep the wordcount down below 3,000 words and make sure your story is somehow related to this months theme. The stories are made to attract and draw the reader into wanting to read more so quality rather then quantity. No breaching of rules in your stories. Stories will be rated by more then one member of staff to keep it fair and un-bias.

This months theme will be:
..... Night time

There must be some reference to this theme, whether it be sailing or merely going down to the seaside for you story to be included in the competition. Pre-made characters already made from the boards may be used though you will still need to describe them to explain to the reader.

Winners:
Your probaly thinking why on earth would i waste time writing a story and get nothing in return.. well... you do.

Firstly. You get a cool siggy that explains that you won the Story of the Month contest and beat everyone else. (Hell yeah!)

Secondly. You win 500 coins for your kingdom and greatly boost your chances of winning the overall wars.

Finally. Your name goes down in the Hall of Fame where it can never be removed.

So.. The main story.. Shold be.. based on night time?

3,000 words.. Isn't that a bit.. short?

Ofcourse you can go over, but not too much. It would just take a while reading lots and lots of stories that are 10,000+ words. Im thinking more quality rather then quantity here Thats all. Its just guidelines. Your story won't be disqualified if it goes over.

Ohz, okz. And the night time thing, is correct right?

Yes, the story has to implement something to do with the night inorder to be accept, whether the story happens at night or mentions night in slightest of way doesn't matter. It just keeps the flavour in the stories and allows diffrent stories to emerge. Thats all. It will change every month ofcourse.

Hi there first of all let me guide you to this board where you can introduce yourself to everyone and then this board where if you want to you can create your character.

How to make your story? Well just write a story that has something to do with 'Night Time'. You can create a new thread in this board to save it and add to it or you can create a new post in this thread. Up to you
