I think I probably break a pair of headphones at least every 4 months, admittedly they aren't the best headphones but its so annoying? Does this happen to anyone else?

My ipod ones are terrible, the left side breaks. I've glued it like 32424234 times but it always breaks. I've completely pulled it out now and rely completely on my right side one but i think i might get a cool noise reduction pair for christmas.. could come in useful when listening to music or playing games

I really hate those little stringy ones you get free with phones, they have terrible sound quality so I just break them if they lack true noise or won't stay in my ears. Those nasty little headphones can go in the bin. I'm pretty happy with the classic ear-muff ones, they don't fall off and they have fairly good sound quality. It usually takes me a year before I break ones like those.

Well if you get good, usually expensive obviously, headphones then the quality of music is great, I didn't think about getting some for Christmas actually. The ones that sort of stick/poke in your ear are great, well the bass is.

I've gone through about 5 in a month. I'm really bad with them... They break and i've gotten sick of spending $20 on them. Currently... I'm using the ones that came with my Ipod... O.o Haven't broken yet and i've had them for about 3 months.

Yeah I remember the ones that I had for my iPod, that lasted a long time but eventually broke with too much bass lol!

Yeah, pain in the butt in my opinion but then again you don't really want huge pieces of earphone hanging out of your ear just to protect them from breaking. So i guess its the price we pay for trying to look cool.

If you want really good sound quality and bass, get the bose sound system or earphones. They may be a bit expensive but they sound great! I have one of the big earphones but I don't use them outside of my house, because, one, I wont be able to hear anything or anyone but music and they are too big to walk around outside with lol. I only use them while I'm reading.
The earphones that come with the iPod are also good too. I had mines for about 5 months already.

The one time I got an expensive pair of headphones ($120 studio type), my little cousin stepped on them the first day and snapped them in half. I gave up soon after that.
