What I'd like for the next Dynasty Warriors? -A good balance between realism and fantasy. Of course Lu Bu's weapon in DW6 was unrealistic but it's still interesting. Don't want the game to become a simulation anyway. -Control over your unit. Decide what you want them to do, would be helpful during sieges ("Protect that Ram!" or "Destroy those ballistas!"). -A Musou mode for each character and a differrent storyline for each character. There are too many characters that there's no way of knowing what they've done and how they have been, like Pang Tong. they usually are on the battlefield just for some silly plans. -Keep the Renbu system, it's really a great useful feature, makes the fighting less boring. -Having the bow back. -More varied objectives, such as protecting stuff, escorting important figures (such as the Emperor or something). -More events, maybe some historcal ones and such. Would be kool to have the horse battle between Lu Bu and th Three Oath Brothers. -Usable siege weapons (firing ballistas at the poor suckers trying to get in yer castle! ). -A more varied, less bland set of levels with more climbable stuff and buildings. I mean, having more to do than just run around and kill officers would be interesting. Having more ambush possibilities would be kool, also, like going at a place on a map where you can make a rockslide or something, that is, if the enemy doesn't do it before you. I think that would be it, I can't think of anything else.

I will be honest I want to see Cao Rui and Cao Fang in the next game. One cause they are a strategist to replace Sima Yi wen he backstabs lord Cao Cao and Cao Fang is just a good warrior.

Tong Gate on DW3 was one of my favoruite scenario's. i would play it over and over again on the vastly out numbered Shu side ;D Needs to return for sure! I would like to see more castle siege, perhaps destructable enviroments too, when i catapult hits a wall, it should weaken and perhaps collapse or when your hitting buildings they should take damage. Horses should die, including your own if it takes damage and overall make it more realistic. I'd like to see more thrown and shot weapons seeing as we're moving into new generation of games and Koei will need to advance to keep up with the market.

Speaking of sieges, they should stop letting the doors swing wide open when you hit them a few times.

More realistic hands down, and a chance for online play kind of like Phantasy Star on the 360. I stopped playing DW because I kind of got bored of having the same thing over and over, oh and with the possibility of making the create a characters a bit more into detail would be nice too. As for the bodyguard statement, I do not mind having them return but dim down the numbers or have one or two always at your side, lesser generals and what not. ^^ ~Wu's Ninja Out (with the possibility of returning to this thread )

I want to see your normal soldiers on either side. Remember on DW3 how many normal troops each general had, it just felt a lot more realistic. Now you just got to kill a few troops and you find the enemy leader almost instantly.
The game just revolves around the officers to much, its also perhaps to easy to wipe out all the none general enemy troops so easily. Without even being hit because they seem to fight back any more lol.

you know guys? I though the programmers though of that but I begun to wonder...
DID someone forced them to hurry with the release and kept pressing on them until they have been forced to do it forgetting most of the best things? surely I think someone did bcoz no Games comes out like this without pressing the programmers to do it fast.

its even clear that they has been pressed on so hard, Remember Dynasty warriors four? five came after empire less than a year and the Graphic sucks more than four, then they heard about PS3 coming down soon and someone said "hey! lets hurry! do it fast we want more money!" like the guy thinks we are addicted to it :/
I Blame there Chief in charge.

Actually i don't know if we can even blame time limits.
I mean thinking about how fast DW5 came out after DW4 i would say DW6 had ages of time to be made. I mean the PS3 came out quite a while after DW5 and even then DW6 did not come out for most of a year. So they probably spent more time on it than DW5.
Perhaps they did just not want to spend much money developing it. if so it really shows.

I agree with what everyone has said so far.
DW6 had a definite rushed feel about it. I don't know if it was the sheer lack of Musou modes or the abundance of clones, but it just wasn't enough. I've never expected miracles when playing the Warriors games, but due to the next-gen system I was surprised at the lack of content when there should have been more.
In my opinion, considering what they could have done, it felt a lot like a PS2 game. Which is not a compliment considering it's on the PS3.
Maybe we'll all get what we hope for in DW7. I really hope so anyway, it's about time for a breakthrough.

One more thing not sure if anyone has said it but the soldiers on both side should be more active, make it a bit more challenging cause when I played all they did was just strafe around you or the enemy, I found it annoying and too easy of a kill, I like my kills a bit squirmy >=)
