I got a really serious question in my head for years about Dynasty warriors 4...
when you Open the Yellow Turban Mouse open and try to pick a char, its suppose to be only Zhang Jiao, but in 4 I can see Zhang He, Zhang Fei and Diao Chan to be played as in the story mode of Yellow Turbans.
the Question is...
Why them? and are they placed for the sake of Zhang Jiaos Sucking bad moves instead?

Maybe they realized that Zhang Jiao sucked so badly they got depressed and starting drinking heavily. And in their drunkeness they went and added a complete drunkard, a girly man, and a girl you would probably find in a strip club. No offense to Diao Chan lovers. Lol to answer this question seriously Ive always thought it was just simply because there is only one character on the force for Yellow Turban so they just added a couple more?

In my Dynasty Warriors 4 Hyper, instead of Diao Chan, I have Xu Huang, for some reason.
Well, thought I'm not an expert at this kind of stuff, I do have my assumptions.
There are a few rumor-like tales that Zhang Fei was briefly a member of the Yellow Turbans before seeing Liu Bei and joining him.
Same for Xu Huang, though historically he campaigned against the Yellow Turbans.
No idea why Zhang He and Diao Chan are there...
Anyway, it's probably because they wanted to put in more Yellow Turban characters, and they found some people who have somewhat backgrounds related to the group.

I personally think its because no one wants to play as Zhang Jiao. I never liked playing as him but if I could play as Zhang Fei and beat up some Han I'm totally game.
