Liu Bei found himself once again ringing the emergency bell to alert the county. The yellow turbans had continually attacked Portions of Bei Ping for several weeks. Since their primary focus was the capital at Luo Yang most of the nosebleed forces went to take out the red neck mountain towns in in He Bei. This worked in their favor for the most part, meeting very little resistance from generals of the Han, who had all been recalled to the capital for defense, or sent on their own to defend key cities.
The leadership in this area was very limited, therefore when something needed to get done, Bei had to rely on his own skills to get him through it.
With less than 50 volunteers, and only 10 actual weapons, Bei and his fighters fought with pitchforks Scythes and shovels. Bei himself held a sword, the sword he held was powerful, as if it fought on its own at times. Bei would never try to kill someone if they were not directly harming his family, friends, or himself, but the sword seemed to make it easier, as if having a mind of its own,
As another garrison of troops ran into Zhou County they found themselves at a loss for words, it was....empty.
100 Turban soldiers walked the streets clearly confused to where their enemy had gone, and finally they decided to check the local public shelter. Apon walking up the steps, the lieutenant leading the ground opened the door, and caused a vat of boiling water to fall on his head, along with other men surrounding him who were also struck by the water.
From there several men began throwing Molotov's out the window, lighting some of the men on fire, this tactic was used nearly all the time, making it seem almost laughable that the turbans would fall for the same trick multiple times.
By the time the turbans had actually regained composure enough to draw their weapons, they found themselves ambushed by at least two dozen men, who seemed to appear out of no where. (Coming from nearby buildings)
The fighting began and immediately the turbans -Who's moral was already shot- began to show resolves of what could be retreat, Again it seemed the men of Zhou County had succeeded in saving their small town.
But it still was not over, Bei stepped out from the public shelter, he had organized this entire endeavor, Even though he had not actually raised his sword, it appears his plan is what brought them victory. Suddenly from behind Bei came the now burnt Lieutenant. He skin was pealing and he was screaming in pain, but this did not stop him from drawing his sword and slashing at bei, who quickly unsheathed his blade and countered.
After a few other swings the Lieutenant stumbled back, Bei made his move and shoved the sword in a downward thrust.
A seemingly shocked audience looked at the two leaders as they clashed, and watched as Bei ended it. The turbans hearts sank as they watched, as did the members of Zhou county, who had never seen Bei kill another human being.
Bei stepped back to reveal that his sword had been stabbed into the ground next to the man
"Get out of Zhou County, get out of my home!"
He said spitting on the ground next to the man and watching him scurry to his feet
L: This isn't over Bei, we will be back!
Running off with his troops, humiliated and scorned once again, Bei let out a cheer, this was accompanied by the men he was with, and the women and children in hiding, the entire county rejoiced over the defeat of the evil yellow turbans. While the capital fought thousands of turbans, never has their been a greater victory than that of Zhou County.
But Zhang Jiao had thousands of troops, while Bei had roughly fifty, they couldn't defend forever, it was time for Bei to write a letter to the Han High general He Jin, and attempt to appeal for a stronger resolve of trained troops.
