Visions?
Like the wandering of a lonely mind, alone in the dark. Man's worst fear? His own desolate thoughts. There was nothing more frightening, then something unknown. You could be coiled around in your favourite blanket, smoothered by comfort food and ensnared by a thousand guards - by the fear of the unknown was never removed.
tap... tap...tap...
The gentle pen upon the paper, before he stretched his fingers. Today had been the day he overcome himself. Releasing all his weaknesses onto a single piece of paper. Both mental and physical. Everyday he would remind himself of his faults - keeping the paper close to him at all times, allowing no other but his own eyes to see it. He had no enemies, nor no friends - at least not friends of a close standard. He knew people indeed, humble company to conversate and exchange drinks, but nobody to fall down onto. It could be considered a strength or a weakness.
Common folk enjoyed fighting, fists to relieve stress. It wasn't rocket science to tell the sudden rush of violence could calm people - allow emotions to come out. Sima Hui prefered the quiet jousting within his own mind. Emotions, such powerful things. Like the elements of the human mind. If anger was fire, then calmness would be water. Each of them could counter and attack eachother - much like tactics of war. Comparisons could easily be made, so that simpler folk could understand such psychological theories. Replacing people with animals, feelings with elements and vice versa.
Locked inside his courtyard, though open to the world. The open sky only outside his isolation. This must be hell, this must be heaven. A sharp light floods the floor. The gently creak of the shutter door behind him.
"I told you never to come back here."
He muttered, still in inclined silence. His legs folded in complete meditation completely fixed on relaxation though a little anxiety within his wave length. The scafolding of his appeals were only as strong as he had made them.. everyone broke their promises sometimes.
"You know damn well this is just as much as my home as it is yours!"
