A book?
It was more then a simple paged book - it possessed something of worth to beings of knowledge. Zhang Jiao desired it for himself and had dispatched Sima Hui, a being of knowledge. How troublesome. Sima Hui had no intentions of retrieving it for Jiao; more over to take it for himself.
Stretched in cloaks, he approached the gates tapping gently upon the gates with his staff. A fierce cobbled road laid ahead of him, both physically and psychologically.
"Who is it?"
"Water Mirror."
He spoke his taoist clan name - a name given to him by his elder. Within seconds the gate opened, he was well known by his name. But little else. Legends spoke of the being - but who was the being. A man of huge mystery.
"You don't look much."
Said a guard at the gate raising an eyebrow at him. His weapon lowered and his guard lowered more.
FUCK!
A strike of thunder pelted through Sima Hui - he had never been a controlled man physically. He smashed the guard upon the head with his staff, a huge force upon impact sending him to the ground.
"I'm sure your bruise upon your head tommorow will remind you to keep your tongue inside your head."
He laughed, gently kicking dirt over the body on the floor like a wild animal before plodding through the estates of the Taoist sector. It had been a while - infact seven years. He trained here as a child for a few years before his father moved him around; escaping his wild murderous mother.
An exciting life from a young age. He coughed, then coughed lounder. Making his presence known the monks around. They looked at him - opening their eyes from meditation.
"Can we help you?"
"Yeah, I was wondering If you knew where I could find this book."
He explained, presenting a small drawing with several words scattered around. Nothing of major detail but the monks eyes quickly lit up.
"May I ask who are you?"
"Sima Hui, But you can call me Decao."
"Your reputation proceeds you, I shall speak to the Master of this sanctuary - hopefully he will allow you to look at the book. Please give me one moment."
And with that Decao gently bows his head before taking a seat. Plotting his next move. He wasn't leaving without the book.
