Appearance: Xian stands at roughly 6'1 and weighs roughly 180 lbs. He has short grey-ish silver hair which is usually hidden under his helmet. The most noticeable, and disfiguring, part of Yan's appearance is that he is missing his right eye, constantly hidden under a black scarf wrapped around his head. He also has a large burn mark on the right side of his face. Usually Yan is covered in his armor and helmet, rarely being seen without it.
Personallity: Liu Yan is a drunken brute, He loves wine and war, and little else. He tends to be happy-go-lucky, but he is prone to sudden fits of rage. He is also extremely loyal to Xian Liang, who he's known for years.
Weapon: Wave Breaker, a large spiked mace, that is slightly taller then him an has a large head made of stone with iron spikes firmly set into it.
Weapon Strengths: Large, good at a distance and against large groups.
Weapon Weaknesses: Heavy, Not very fast, Near-useless in tight spaces.
Armour: Qiang Tribe armor, Made of Iron Scales woven onto leather armor.
History: Liu Yan was born in Xiang Ping, in He Bei Province. He was born to a tanner, his mother dieing in child-birth and leaving him with just his father. As Yan grew, He spent a lot of his time watching the soldiers of Gongsun Zan on their white horses, and hearing tales of the border skirmishes against the Qiang Tribe to the North. It wasn't long after he turned fifteen that Yan joined the militia of Xiang Ping and was soon fighting off raiders from the Qiang, and learning the arts of war. Over the years Yan grew, learning to indulge himself in wine, perhaps too much so, and the rush that came with a good fight, Soon taking up his weapon of choice, Wave Breaker, which was made for fights against multiple opponents. Shortly before the Yellow Scarves Revolt broke out, Yan met Xian Liang and started traveling with him, Helping him earn his reputation and win his battles.
