After Kumi's bout with the officials in Luo Yang, she decided to leave for a short while and came across a call for help from the Yellow Turbans. since Kumi wanted some power within Luo Yang and the Yellow Turbans were on their way to the capital, she decided to aid them in the hope they might give her something in return.
Her task was to visit some bandits in the north that didn't particularly favour the Han, and secure an alliance with them on behalf of the Yellow Turbans.
As she approached the bandits outpost, she regretted her decision. They... weren't the nicest looking people and they probably weren't the most civilized. And Kumi has a trait of saying the wrong thing to the wrong people. She was, obviously, armed. Her sword under her Kimono as usual.
She approached the gate and she gained horrendous glares off most of the guard troops around.
"You! What the hell are you doing here!?" A burly, deep-voiced guard near enough screamed at Kumi. Kumi was shocked by his introduction.
"Ha! I thought I was going to see some people with at least a hint of civil order, at least to visitors. I guess I got my hopes up wrongly."
The guard cast Kumi a gaze of pure evil and Kumi met it with a hard stare that was empty of emotion. "I'm hear to speak with your leader, on behalf of the Yellow Turbans. Unless you're going to throw me out like some barbarian imbicile that I shall have to... punish." Kumi called to the guard. He looked at her for what seemed like an age, then let her in and started walking somewhere, obviously wanting Kumi to follow him, but he didn't want to speak to her after his humiliation in front of his follow guards.
As they walked through the outpost, Kumi saw many things. Bandits practicing archery and meleé skills. A large guard group outside of a small stone building, which Kumi had rightly deduced as where they kept their spoils. She noted where it was, maybe she'd come back some day; massacre and loot. They'd get their just desserts.
The guard gestured into a tent, which was the largest and had the biggest guard presence, obviously their leaders abode. Kumi walked in a man stood in front of her, his back turned. From behind, he had long, black shaggy hair. Various tattoos and painted works on his body, quite muscly and wasn't wearing much armour. When he turned, it was near enough the same, except he wore an elaborate necklace that Kumi eyed up a little.
"You're here for a reason, what would that be?" The man said to Kumi, getting straight to the point which Kumi liked, but not from him, because he missed something.
"I am a Lady! You ask me to sit first!" Kumi said and parked her derriere in a nearby chair. "I shall be teaching you, and your guard, some manners. Especially to prospective allies!"
The man didn't respond and waited for Kumi to answer his initial question, glaring at her as he waited.
"I know you show a great disregard for the Han, and would like to see them perish. I share your vision. As do my employers." The man was going to speak, but Kumi was going to get to the point. "The Yellow Turbans, Zhang Jiao especially, would like your assistance in their conquest to oust the Han rule."
Kumi waited patiently as he wandered round, considering her proposition.
"For nothing?" The man replied.
Kumi handed the man a small pouch, containing precious stones. The mans eyes sparkled as bright as the stones as he analysed them.
"Yes, tell them yes!" The man exploded and as he said it, Kumi had already started to leave.
She walked past the guard, flashing him an innocent smile and walked out of the camp. She breathed deeply when she'd walked a short distance away, to clear the corrupt air out of her system. Then she mounted her horse that was tied a short distance away and rode to tell her employer her success.
She just hoped they didn't realised that Kumi had the real stones, and the ones she had given them, were fakes, that she managed to acquire for such an occasion.
