I'm not really big on the whole signature making thing, but I got bored one day and decided to try and create something cute to match the 'happy' mood I was in at the time. So this is it. I'll also be posting my other 'junk' here time to time. My main hobby is with skinning games, and it's a little harder to show them off lol, but i'll try. Here is my little banner. ^^ took me about 10-20 minutes to do as I had to crop Cao Cao. This is that silly signature I did. It sucks I know! but whatever xD I was bored! and I thought it was 'cute' at the time lol. Hmm. If you've ever played Mount n Blade Warband. I skinned these armours/units. Some or adaptations, others are from scratch. i893.photobucket.com/albums/ac136/WeiXiadi/Warband/mb16.jpgi893.photobucket.com/albums/ac136/WeiXiadi/Warband/mb10-1.jpg[cant be bothered to show more lol. sue me xD]

Nice ones, you should try and have one focal point to bring it together, nice though

They were the first ones I did. xD I'm not used to working with these type of brushes or effects having spent most of my time working on game skinning which is entirely different. I'm trying though lol it passes the time xD

Yeah definitely you have to adjust, you should try making a sig without using any brushes, I rarely use brushes, also look up some tutorials they really helped me

so wheres your corner? I'd like to see your collection of sigs
I feel my latest sig, the one I use currently as cao cao is decent, at least in terms of the graphical editing required. I can see your signature is well blended, but my focus is drawing the attention to the character, thus making it the focus of my sigs, whereas yours is more of a mix and blend.
As for brushes, brushes are just your drawing tools xD if you don't use brushes to do sigs then all you're doing is duplicating imagery, using blenders and 'fading' to blend them together - thats easy to do.

I'm just giving you comments about your sigs if you can't take them then you can't improve, I don't have a corner I post them individually in threads. Most sig makers don't use brushes they use filters and C4D's to add some nice effects, wasn't insulting just trying to help

Hmm. It isn't the fact I can't take constructive crit. It's more based on the fact you think there is only 1 real method, and anyone with any experience worth gaining from graphic wise will tell you that it's really up to the artists interpretation and imagination. There is no 1 way to do anything, sig included. I did take your advice on board, and i do know professionals in the graphic industry, from the skinners at game companies to people who do the artwork for media coverage, and none of them have ever told me to use pre-made images with just filters. It's all about adding your own touch, or at least thats what they said lol. ANyways, I did take your advice on board and I created another quick sig, but i'll never truly like the sig because it's basically a blended varient of several other things. The only parts hand drawn are the borders and the brushes i did for some of the pattern work. The rest are c4d or original imagery. I hardly consider this 'good graphic' skill though, and having looked at your work I couldn't even tell you if they're good, since I'd need to see the original concepts to see what you've done. If you hand-drew them, like 'shooter' and what have you then wow, you're really good, but i don't believe you did draw them. anyways, here it is: Anyone here could do that and make it better using the 'cheap' methods of pre-designed image making.

I completely agree, art is just opinion. That one is nice, the colours are good, you should really try and post your stuff on www.planetrenders.net, they're good over there
