All you have to do
Is SHOUT it out!
{OOC: Brain dead}Sighing lightly Zhilan tied her hair up as she started to walk across the ship her face moving fast as she walked. Her father had told her to be the head of looking after a new prisoner that they had recently come across. Frankly she really had no idea why they had him here or at least she was pretty sure it was a he. Making her way to the lower deck of the boat she came down a few of the men glancing at her as she made her way to where they kept him.
Looking around Zhilan nodded to the others and then she made her way over to the man who was suppose to be heading the whole thing knowing he was probably a idiot "whats the situation" she said tilting her head lightly as she looked at the man for a moment. "We found him a couple days back, girly", when he said girly her eyes narrowed as she looked at the man who was standing in front of her.
"I have a name, call me by it and I'll make sure I don't accidently leave a nice scar on you" Zhilan said very lightly as she linked her hands together trying to ignore the idiot that was around her. Day after day she had to deal with them and it was beginning to really get on her nerves, they had never been up to her standard of respect. Putting her hands on her hips the light hit her for the first time from above.
Dark black hair was up in a ponytail and her eyes shimmered lightly though most of her face was hidden away by a mask that covered the lower half of her face. Putting her hands on her hips she looked over at the person who they had locked away lightly her eyes searched him for a few minutes. A few of the guards who were around them somehow seemed to distant themselves as if they were afraid of him. Rolling her eyes at the pitiful excuse for a crew she now let her gaze wonder to the prisoner.
"So..." Zhilan said lightly as she looked at him "what excuse did they use to drag you down here" her finger tips lightly traced the bars as she looked away from him. Her father never really told her all that much all he had really told her was that he wanted her to watch some man who they had recently taken on to the boat. Which nothing said fun to her like a babysitting job...

I can't believe this.
Hiei cursed under his breathe as he sat upon the damp wooden floor, his back placed against the wall opposite the bars of the cage he was placed in, his legs spread out straight in front of him, and his arms crossed over his chest. He was clad only in his black tunic, the signature red line running down from his neck, with only the left sleeve existent, the right sleeve having being torn off. He did not wear his gloves, though, his Raven Fists having being taken by them, alongside Death and Despair and, much to Hiei's frustration, Heikage. He still had his pants, belt and boots, though. His shoulder armor, however, too was taken, and his scarf. He felt ultimately naked then. He sighed, looking through the bars and the two guards that stood far behind the bars, tasked with guarding him. Hiei knew too, from the sounds that they produced, that there were more guards hiding in his blind sights.
What was he doing here? Well, after having assassinated a Yellow Turban commander, Hiei had been forced to escape and after almost a day of running, Hiei had almost been captured, before he threw himself into a river, getting washed away then by the quick currents from the mountains. And it was during that struggle that Hiei lost his consciousness. What happened next, Hiei was still not unsure, but he would find himself waking up in a cage. And from the swaying movement of his groundings, Hiei knew he was on a ship. The next few days of observation then caused him to deduce to be a captive in a pirate ship. What bad luck.
Then, his eyes would suddenly snap from the two guards to another figure that made herself visible, standing closer to his bars. Hiei raised his eyebrow in amusement. Now who was this? Hiei uncrossed his arms, slowly getting up on his feet, keeping himself where he was, though, as she asked a question, her finger touching the bar. Who was she? Why were the guards not doing anything about her? He furrowed his eyebrows then. The captain of this ship? Had she finally shown herself?
"I don't know. You tell me. I just went to bed and found myself waking up here."

All you have to do
Is SHOUT it out!
The man who sat there, hardly looked as though he was happy but she really could not blame him. If she had to be stuck around these men for more time then she already did a part of her would not be happy at all. It was not as if she delt with them out of some sort of want to, more out of the fact that her father forced her to when she was quite capable of doing things on her own. Looking at him for a moment she could tell just from the way that he looked and the things they had taken off him that he was somehow dangerous. Zhilan knew she had to keep her eyes on him, something about him said that he was not someone who would just lay down and take whatever they had planned.
Really though she had no idea why they were even keeping this guy around it was not as if he probably knew anything that would be useful to her father. Her father though was all about safety measures so of course he made sure to have quite a bit of guards. Finally the man spoke and lightly Zhilan came back from her thoughts, looking at him she nodded.
"You were just floating out there" she said softly looking at him "you are lucky we actually found you when we did, after all you could of been hurt". When he asked her to tell her why he was here, Zhilan shook her head lightly "I'm not really sure either, my fathers the captain and he really isn't one to tell me much". Thinking about it she turned to one of the crew, saying a few things and then he was off to go retrieve whatever she had whispered to him. "As I have no idea why we are keeping you I might as well check, are you hurt?" she said looking at him. Whatever he was to her father, if he was bleeding then it was not going to do much for her.
If she was going to be forced to babysit him the least she could do was to make sure that he was in good health, Zhilan hated this. Though she really had no idea what she would want in life if she was actually allowed to make her own decisions without someones life hanging in the balance. It would make her life though a little less stressful if there was not a constant worry on her mind. If Zhilan took care of this guy though, maybe it would get her mind off of everything that was about the only reason she liked distractions like this. Even if it was her being forced to do stupid work for her father, it was still one less thing that she had to think about constantly.
Plus Zhilan hardly thought that he would not hurt her. Then again she could of always been wrong and walking in and talking to him could be a stupid decision. What did she know, plus she was allowed to make a few stupid decisions right? Not like the men in this crew didn't make a few. It was like a ship ran by a bunch of mindless monkeys.

Yeah, he could imagine that. He had thrown himself into the water without care for his own safety, determined not to let himself get captured by the Yellow Turbans and also trusting that he would survive the challenge of the sea. He had managed to do both, though the consequence had not been something he was expecting. He was captured by pirates. Hiei was not hurt much, save for a few bruises around his body, probably from rocks and whatever else was being dragged down the river along with him. Then, she explained to him why he was being kept in prison. It had been a lingering question for a while now.
Pirates were never known to keep prisoners unless they were of value. Was there a bounty on him already?
Wait, her captain was the father? As she spoke, Hiei slowly made his way closer and closer to the bars, staying as discreet as he possibly could and soon enough, he was but just an arm's length of her, though he doubted she would notice, as she went on to instruct one of the other guards. Now he understood her authority and sense of control. She was the daughter of the captain, presumably the first-mate. And then, she asked for his safety, Hiei's eyes widening a bit. He was utterly surprised.
"Uhm, I'm fine."
He would reply, his crimson hues looking into her eyes. This was unusual. What was the captain thinking, exactly, taking him into custody and keeping him well taken care of like this. Something wasn't up. That man wanted something, definitely. Hiei could only hope it was not going to be anything stupid. Hell, the captain was probably a Yellow Turban, for all Hiei knew. If that was the case, he needed to escape.
He had rested enough. He should be able to do it. He just needed the perfect time to do it.
"What's gonna happen to me, then?"

All you have to do
Is SHOUT it out!
This man looked as if, his job whatever it was...was far more important to him which sort of made her sad to see. Not that she would not give anything to get out here even if that meant jumping out into the water outside of her world. Zhilan sighed lightly and brushed her hair to her shoulder attempting to get herself to focus back into what she was doing at that particular moment. This was no time to think about her life, after all she was busy doing what she had to do.
Whatever this man was being held here for though, Zhilan's guess was that her father was going to try to use him for something or another. Though a part of her felt bad, she was not sure what to do really...if her father knew she helped someone escape. It was like being trapped in her own prison though as she saw the man more clearly she noticed a few things about him. He was different about the others, his drive to do whatever he did somehow did not seem to have any kind of connection to him. It was like he was hollow. Then again Zhilan told herself not to think to much about it, after all it was not her thing to make any kind of personal connection with someone else, it just complicated things in the end.
Brushing some of her hair behind her ear she sighed lightly and thought about him, somehow the guy did not seem all that scared. He was confident, perhaps even to the point of being cocky... Then again Zhilan had always had the hardest time reading people maybe it was because about the only ones that she could read were the ones that were considered to be scum bags or bad guys. After all they seemed so complicated and she knew the truth, they were simple, they had no complicated reasoning or anything like that just plain simple fact that they were selfish.
When he asked what was going to happen to him she thought about it for a moment, turning to the one guard she spoke "please could you leave me alone with the prisoner". Before they did though the one gave her what she had asked for, they were the keys to what he could probably guess was to the various cells. Lightly she put the key into the lock and opened the door, her father was not going to be happy with her but it did not matter much to her. "Okay, so I got them to leave...told them I needed to interrogate you" she said rolling her eyes at just how stupid the men on this ship could be. "I have a very small idea of why my father wants you here but the way I figure he can figure losing a prisoner for once" lightly she untied him, sighing she looked over to the door.
"Now we are docked right now and I figure most of the crew right now is probably drinking their sad, pathetic lives away" lacing her fingers together Zhilan looked at him. "You can take that chance and you should be able to get out of here with very little problems" looking over to her left she pointed "your stuff is on that table". Looking at him Zhilan was telling the truth "I don't want you to be stuck here like I am...its my own personal hell so I figure I'll tell my dad something like you knocked me out took the keys and there was nothing I could do" with that she brushed herself off lightly.

A perfect time. And a perfect plan, at that. There was no way he was going to be able to escape a ship that he was so unfamiliar with. And he did not know how many guards he would have to deal with too. Though, these pirates seemed to be more foolish than they looked. Not only did they lock him up in a cell with wooden walls, but they also left his equipment a short distance away from the cell itself. If Hiei was ever able to escape, all he needed was his weapons, and he could wreck havoc on the ship itself. True, he may not succeed in escaping, but this ship was certainly not going to forget his attempt to escape.
With that in mind, he knew that he needed a foolproof plan to escape. And then, looking up at his partner in this peculiar conversation, he realised he already had his answer. Here, in front of him, was the daughter of the captain. Someone who was presumably precious to the leader of these sea bandits. He could only hope that she was as precious to the captain as Hiei thought she was. Hiei would look at her, thinking of a way to somehow use her, when she suddenly turned to the guards.
"please could you leave me alone with the prisoner"
Hiei's eyes widened. What was she up to? Cautiously, he took a step away from the door. At this point, there were only two reasons that she chose to do that. One, she wanted to set him free. For whatever reason, Hiei was unsure of yet. Another, would be that she wanted to finish him off without being stopped by the guards. Another action which provoked no possible thought of reason in Hiei's head. Then, she unlocked the gate, and spoke once more. Hiei furrowed his eyebrows. He was quite confused, but knew that this was probably a good chance to make his escape.
Of course, he would stay cautious, as he slowly let the cell. She would then proceed to point his equipment out to him, Hiei following her finger for a bit, before turning back to her. She really was serious, huh? Well, if this was a trap, those weapons would be quite useful indeed. At that, he proceeded to walk towards his weaponry and armor, before proceeding to clad them on. The Raven Fists, Death and Despair, and most importantly, Heikage. He sighed, before turning to the still-masked female. And she then gave him more useful information, like them being docked. That explained the knocking sound of equipment being moved around, then.
Well, she may say it, but Hiei knew that the guards from earlier, those that were watching him, would be just outside the room, waiting for her to leave and tell them to resume their duty. They may be pirates, but they knew not to disobey their captains, especially when the order was given top priority. The fact that the daughter was here in person only meant that Hiei was important to the captain.
"I don't want you to be stuck here like I am...its my own personal hell so I figure I'll tell my dad something like you knocked me out took the keys and there was nothing I could do"
Her own personal hell, huh? Hiei looked at the ground for a bit, remembering his own home. He was shunned, by his own father, trained only to become the bodyguard and assassin of his younger brother, who was to replace him as heir to the throne. And all because he was born with red eyes. An interesting situation to be in, certainly. A sadly, painfully interesting situation. He sighed, before turning to the female. Well... It was the least he could do, he guessed. He stepped forward, standing an arm's length from her.
"Thank you, then. And please, forgive me."
Right at the last word, Hiei's arm would suddenly snap forward, Death in hand, the black dagger's side coming upon the side of the female's throat, the action presumably pinning her in place, from which Hiei would then reach forward with his left hand and grab her arm, before tugging and twisting her quickly to cause her to lose her balance. She would then fall onto him on her back, though kept on his feet by Hiei's grip, that blade coming back to the throat. Her left arm would be folded behind her, held in an awkward and achingly painful position by Hiei's own left hand.
He was to be her hostage.
"Now... Lead me out of here. There's bound to be pirates on the way."
Yes, he sounded serious.
If only he could explain, that he was intending in helping her here too.

All you have to do
Is SHOUT it out!
Something in her told her it might be a good idea but then again another part of her screamed what are you doing. Honestly though she did not have the slightest idea because at the moment she was running purely on impulse. A part of her liked the feeling and another part of her was starting to regret this decision of course there was no time for her to turn back on what she had said. Zhilan knew he did not trust her but, could she really expect him to? She was the captains daughter who was just releasing her though she knew that this perfect stranger had no idea what kind of relationship grew between her and her father. It was all just business to them, nothing more and nothing less.
It was a simple fact that whatever he wanted to accomplish that emotional connections would only mess things up so both of them shy-ed away from what most daughter and fathers had. He treated her like crew though she had not chose to be there and he seemed to treat her as if she was a more intelligent person because Zhilan was about as smart as it got. Not to say that she isn't intelligent but the crew is more like a bunch of incompetent men. Something about it Zhilan knew made her father feel some kind of power surge, she knew what he was and always would be capable of. Never would she trust him, he would betray her just as easily as he would betray anyone else it was simple to him. If he did it first then the other person would never have the chance, he did not give people chances.
"What are you-" before she could say anything more he had a hold of her and instantly she froze up, people never touched her and she was not use to physical contact with anyone. It was somewhat horrifying for her and Zhilan had to remind herself to breath, to keep a hold of herself and not to start screaming at him a part of her desperately wanted to though. After all for the moment he was going to be a exception that was until she got the chance to actually talk to him then she might let her temper get the best of her. When he said there were bound to be pirates she laughed "none that are all that bright but okay" sighing she made her way out. The deck was pretty big and pretty empty, most of the noise you could hear was indoors and lightly she loosened her grip.
Hearing a few footsteps she froze for a moment and looked over at a couple of what appeared to be drunken pirates stumbling toward her, mumbling as they did. "Well look who it is" raising her eyebrow she looked lightly at them not that she was to worried about what they would do but she began to walk past them for a moment until a arm went in front of her. "Now now, you always hide" the one said looking at her and she sighed "I'm busy..." Zhilan bit her lip softly out of frustration as she wanted to get out of here. "Aw you aren't leaving without taking that mask off, it isn't nice to hide from us...your friends" the one said grinning, with that Zhilan cursed under her breath and her one arm lightly came to her face, with one fluid hand motion she took it off. Ruby red lips showing with in seconds she looked at them with scorn "leave".
Somehow though they seemed to be a bit shocked as if they had expected something different from a girl who had been stuck on a ship with a bunch of guys all of her life. Rolling her eyes she got past them as they seemed to not believe what they had seen, both believing it to be some sort of drunk hallucination with that her pace got faster and eventually they found themselves at the end of the dock to her ship and she relaxed her muscles. "There..now go before anyone finds out what I did" her voice was soft and she looked back at the ship. Running a hand threw her hair and taking a deep breath to prepare herself for whatever awaited her on that ship. It was nice being out in the air though, not surrounded by anyone just herself well even if he was here it was still alot more peaceful.
Another part of her envied him because after this he would not have to bother to look back, he would just move on with his life. No matter what she did though, that boat and those people would always be one step behind her, looming over her and watching her every move like some kind of vultures. It was the life she had been given, plain and simple.

The grabbing and positioning was easy. In fact, it almost felt way too easy. She was not resisting at all. She almost felt like a puppet then, causing Hiei to wonder if she really was the daughter of the captain, as she claimed to be. Doing this was probably going to cause him to be enemies with the involved pirates, but Hiei doubted they would be much of a bother in mainland China. Unless they were that determined, they would not chase him that far away from their ship. And Hiei was one difficult individual to track, the assassin himself knowing the art of tracking all too well. Still, he could not help but feel a bit uneasy at her reaction. At first, she froze up, but her composure returned all too quickly for Hiei's liking, the girl laughing even with a blade to her throat. Interesting. She even had the nerve to joke too, commenting on how bright the pirates were. Hiei doubted that she would have caught on the fact that he was in fact helping her and not just himself, but he would give her the little bit of space she needed. He would let go of his grip on her, repositioning Death instead to be poking against her lower back, reminding her that a single movement could send the raven blade into her spine. Soon enough, they were on the deck. However, the girl would suddenly stop in her tracks. Had Hiei not been paying attention, he would have kept on walking forward and Death would have claimed another victim, but that was not to be. Not yet. Hiei would then notice the pair of pirates staggering towards them in a drunk stupor. Hiei let out a soft grunt, before retreating slightly into the darkness. There was a small scuffle between the two and the female, but it was not long before she passed the two of them. Then, the pirates, much acting on their natural senses, would turn to face the departing girl, eyes gazing upon her bottom. And they would fail to notice Hiei coming up behind them, Death and Despair sliding over their shoulder and placing themselves in front of their throats, before jerking off, leaving a small but deep gash where their throats was. They took a step back, hands reaching up as they gagged on their own blood, eyes wide in shock and fear, before falling on the ground. And that was the mess that he would leave to show his forceful escape. There was no need to leave any clue of the girl having helped him. He would soon catch up with her. "There..now go before anyone finds out what I did"Hiei would look down onto the docks. There were a couple more pirates, some drunk and others too focused on carrying load that they failed to notice him standing on the boat end of the wide plank. He would take a few steps forward, before turning back to see her looking at her ship. He sighed, reaching up to scratch the back of his head. He was not sure why he was doing this. Perhaps it was out of pity. Perhaps. He silently walked up behind her, his right hand raised and poised to strike. A clear display of his superior skill as an assassin, as his hand went down onto the back of her neck, knocking her out. And before her body would touch the floor, Hiei would reach out with both hands, catching her. Another sigh escaped his lips, before he proceeded to carry her upon his left shoulder. She would not be waking up any time soon... ======= A few hours later... ======= Hiei knew his skill, he knew his ability, he knew the limits. She would be awake anytime soon. And when she does, she would find herself in a wooden room, dimly lit by a candle located near the door. She would be on a bed, a blanket over her body, which was all still clothed... Save the mask. Yeah, her face had been revealed. With a quick look around, she would then notice Hiei sitting beside the window, looking out, the dim and flickering light from the candle adding an eerie effect in the room. "You're awake yet?" He would ask, turning towards her. The door was locked, so escape would not be a choice for her, at least on her own will. Attacking Hiei would be quite foolish too, one of his daggers being twirled around in his left hand, as if ready to be thrown forward at anytime. "Good. Then, you can go. The pirates will be looking for you, but unless you come back to them, they won't be able to find you anytime soon. I... Led them away with that mask of yours. Don't ask how." Hiei would then raised his left hand, the dagger now in his grip, pointing forward. No, not at her, but a peculiar individual, sitting on the floor, leaning against the door, his arms tied behind his back, his ankles held together by a tighter piece of rope. He was large, standing about 6'7'' and way more muscular compared to the smaller Hiei. "That guy tracked you all the way here. He was really persistent in chasing after us. And he is one hell of a fighter. Had to use a little trick just to knock him out. I presume you know him?" He turned back to the girl.

All you have to do
Is SHOUT it out!
Sighing she felt terrible about what had happened maybe they weren't the best people but they were still in fact people. Running a hand threw her hair she waited for him to leave but he didn't, now she was going to really regret this. Feeling his hand on the back of her neck, before she could react her eyes lightly fluttered close a small breath escaped her lips before she felt herself falling. That was what she got for trusting him, he knocked her out and was probably going to take her to god only knows where. She got the feeling if she woke up she was probably going to be extremely pissed off.
A few hours after...
After what had happened she had really no idea if she expected to wake up but she felt herself turn lightly and her eyes opened up though the room was dark. Feeling around her, a blanket covered her up and somehow she felt strange without her mask, sighing she proped herself up with her elbows. Maybe it had all been some sort of crazy dream, maybe it was just all in her head then she saw him. Immediately she felt angry, who did he think he was to just take her like that a part of her wanted to slap him but she resisted. Sitting up Zhilan rubbed the back of her neck "yea" she gave a small reply, drappnig her red hair off of one of her shoulders and looking at him.
Hearing him she got up and streched "if you were just going to grab me and let me go then what was the point" Zhilan said peering at him. Hearing they wouldn't be able to find her anytime soon she laughed, her father was always good at finding her he was like some sort of hound always able to track her. Sooner or later he would find her but for now she could not help but wonder what having freedom would be like not that she could use it for all that long. "You could of just left me there, what's the point of going to all this trouble" a hint of frustration could be heard in her voice as she looked at him for a moment before looking away. About everything she said it seemed as though she was snapping at him, she sat straight up something about her told you that even now this was more business to her then anything else. Her facial expressions only serious.
When he mentioned the mask, her eyes widened lightly and her finger tips touched her lips for a moment, before now she had not realized that it was gone. It felt strange having all of her face revealed it was a feeling that she had never gotten use to and maybe she liked hiding her face away so the world could never find her. Sighing she put both of her hands on her lap and thought about it all for a minute attempting to tell herself that everything would be alright...it wasn't this guys fault he really had no idea what was going on with her and her father anyways. It was more complcaited then most people could understand most of her crew had no idea what was going on anyways, even if they did she doubted any of them would really care all that much.
Though when he pointed not towards her but to someone else, her anger bubbled over after all no one touched someone she cared about. "What did you do to him" she bit her lip as she practically jumped to her feet and glared at Hiei, you could tell now Zhilan feared him very little. "If you hurt him..." with that she walked over to him looking at him "are you okay" leaning down she began to untie his arms "he won't hurt you as long as you don't do anything to me" she said softly. "He's...persistant" she said lightly, she knew that he would do anything to take care of her, more then her 'real' father would though in her eyes this guy had been more of a father then anyone else to her. "So why did you grab me" lightly her eyes met Hiei's for the first time and even in the dim lit room her brown eyes shimmered, red lips pursed together "you could of just left me".

"if you were just going to grab me and let me go then what was the point"
Well, obviously she still wasn't getting it, despite having thought of it herself just a couple of hours back. Hiei sighed, looking out the window once more. The streets were empty, the dark blanket of night enveloping the port town. It seemed that only the large man that sat there by the door had succeeded in tracking Hiei. Despite that being a good thing, it still worried Hiei. Had he been that easy to track? He turned towards the large man, before back at Daiyu.
"You could of just left me there, what's the point of going to all this trouble"
Yeah, she really wasn't getting it at all. He turned back towards the dagger in his hand, started to play and twirl it around his fingers once more, as if it were nothing but a piece of stick. His fingers coiled around the blade as if it was nothing, the very same blade that had taken the lives of many a man. Then, she would move from her spot, towards the direction of the other pirate.
"What did you do to him? If you hurt him..."
Hiei would do nothing but watch as she untied him. There was nothing to fear from him just yet. The drug that Hiei had slipped into his system during the battle would still be having its effect on his body. He could move, though only slowly and with small movements. Any more than standing back up on his feet would cause him to fall back to the ground once more. It was a drug that Hiei himself had developed, mostly for torture and interrogation.
"So why did you grab me? you could of just left me".
"Did you even like it there?"
And he asked, his crimson hues peering deep into hers. It was obvious, really. The aura and emotion that emitted from her reminded Hiei of how he felt during when he was at back in the palace in Japan. Yes, people, he's actually a prince, but an exiled and forsaken one at that. He had given up on his people, just as they had on him. He sighed, before looking out the window once more.
"I know how it feels to be in a place of power, but have no freedom at all. It's... Choking."
