Obsessed with beauty so much that his choices practically revolve around the ideal, Zhang He is a most interesting character in several regards. Nothing sways Zhang He like beauty, for it is even this reason that brought him to defect to Cao Cao's command, seeing a great beauty in the way the man conducted war. Along with his obsession for beauty comes a penchant for narcissism, as Zhang He appreciates himself a little too much. He also takes rude and inappropriate behavior personally, as the general finds such things disgusting. Zhang He finds such a thing to be a blemish upon social interactions, finding people who act such a way to be most disdainful.
Weapon:
Phoenix Talons - These graceful claws are Zhang He's favored weapons in most battle, as they allow him to fight with the grace and speed he enjoys. Each weapon has three claws attached a type of gauntlet strapped to his wrists.
Splendor- A deadly halberd with a most intricate design, Zhang He is capable of wielding this weapon with more grace than one would believe. The end of the halberd is weighted, balancing the weapon out.
Weapon Strengths:
Phoenix Talons - Swift to strike and deadly at close range, these claws excel at ripping through lightly armored opponents, rending flesh and causing a good deal of blood loss.
Splendor - Long in range and heavy in damage, Splendor is Zhang He's answer to fighting large numbers of enemies. The weapon hits hard enough to damage heavily armed opponents, and it is capable of both piercing and slashing enemies.
Weapon Weaknesses:
Phoenix Talons - Though deadly at close range, the claws are better suited to a small amount of enemies, and it suffers in terms of reach.
Splendor-Though its reach and area of attack are impressive, the weapon tends to fall short when Zhang He is locked in a close struggle. The weapon is also fairly heavy, making Zhang He's rate of attack slower than it would normally be.
Armour:
Zhang He relies on speed and grace more than heavy protection, which is reflected in his choice of dress. Only a few pieces of protection cover his flesh, and even then those pieces are more for decoration than protection. His vanity and hubris make Zhang He believe that he is more than capable of being a great warrior without armor.
History:
Not much is known of Zhang He before coming to serve under Yuan Shao and Han Fu, though it is well known that he quickly rose in their ranks, though he inevitably used this position of power to strike blow against his superiors before defecting to Cao Cao during the Battle of Gaundu. Even with his eccentric personality Zhang He was able to become well respected, so much that he was made a general of Cao Cao's forces.
