Burai been in china for some time, he was no stranger their. He served Wu for years. He accomplished alot there. Becoming one of the most well know officers a face and name that was both respected and feared. He fell in love with princess of Wu. Their love was his greatest strength and weakness. During his time in Wu he befriended A well known warrior of Shu named Hiroshi. The two saw each others as rivals, and the best of friends. As their friendship blossomed they swore and oath of brotherhood.
Burai's heart was soon troubled, my a stragetist of the name of Lute Saika. This man placed doubt in Burai's and covinced him to abandon his old ways. Burai did everything that was his mentor's will. He couldn't let go of his love for the princess. This caused a rift in between the mentor and student. Burai had to leave to search is feelings. When he returned he was focused on being his mentor's blade The two became closer; Lute shared his vision with him and crushing all of china. He was going to be the ravaging flame that burned china to ashes. Burai would be the rain the rejuvenated the land. Suddenly his mentor left him, Burai went to gather the people that he could trust. Ultimatly this lead to and upsetting Betrayal; left to die in his own capital he once swore to protect. The enemy closing in on the city walls.
Burai prepared what would be his last stand. His guards turned their weapons on him and drugged him. Taking him back to japan, after an few unfornate events he returned to china, to get revenge. That was short lived as the people who he wanted to kill where no were to be found. The tides of power had shifted old cowards, were now leaders. Burai wasn't pleased with how the events turned out. A warrior of his caliber had no place among peons. Even a group of hyneas can kill a lion, with sheer numbers.
Suddenly Burai vanished once again, this time decided to explore the seas. He hopped from port to port. One foggy morning hw was on a boat that got raided by pirates. Burai was weaponless, the only thing that was near him was an anchor. He picked it up with ease tried to wield it, but it was to heavy. The pirates slaughter everyone innocent person. Burai found himself face to face with a group of savages. Even if defeated all these pirates, would be pointless. Cause he didn't know where he was on this unfamiliar terrain. He didn't know how to sail a ship.
He laid down the anchor, and surrendered. The pirate leader spared Burai's life. Burai repaid the debt with his service. Burai spent months with those pirates. Eventually those savages became his brothers. They became a well known terror on the high seas. Pillaging villages on the coast and boats that they would come across. One day they pillaged a small town. "KILL THE MEN...TAKE THE WOMEN! WHERE ARE GOING TO HAVE FUN TONIGHT!"
Burai hated his family when these days came. Today was the day he had to prove his worth and bring back the most beautiful woman. He stormed of the boat and tossed a lit torch on to a house. The village soon filled with the smell of blood and sound of screams. He went from house to house searching for the one woman that would please his captain. He searched every house in the village but there was one that stood on top of a hill. He decided to look their, before he reported in.
As he made up, he saw a maiden with a little girl. Accompanied by a man. "This is the one.." he murmured. The grouped hurried into their home with Burai in pursuit. Finally Burai made it to the porch, when the man from before lunged at him. Burai easily avioded the mans attack by sidestepping and entering the house/ "I'm only her for the woman, I'm sure you both want to leave. I will make return her tomorrow morning. You have my word..." The man readied himself for another attacked. Burai's eye glared at the man. "THINK of your daughter!" The man stopped and glanced at the closet with tears in his eyes."
A soft voice came from the closet. "Its alright...This man isn't like the rest." The maiden opened the closet and greeting Burai. Their daughter soon followed. Burai frowned. "I'm sorry.. I am in debt to this man..Or I would find a weapon and slaughter all." The maiden hugged her family and said. "I already lost my husband and son. My neice and brother are all I have left."
Burai felt his heart pound in his chest. A feeling long forgotten, love..lost of those you love. "Hurry get out, before my men co-" spear came flying through the door way and into the man chest. His daughter let out a a sad cry. "Daddy!" Two soldiers grabbed the maiden and one grabbed the little girl. A Vision of his old fiance and his daughter came to mind. Burai went on a blind rage. Killing all the pirates who dared to try to capture them. An archer notched back his bow and fired a shot toward the little girl. Burai covered the girl with his own body and shielded her. "I won't let them take you from...Mizuki" The pirates abducted the maiden. While other pirates began to beat on Burai's back. He seldomly looked down at the girl's face and smiled. The girl moved toward his chest and embraced him.
"That's right the wont't get-cha-" Foot came crashing down in the back of Burai's head; the blow cause him to fall forward, with the child in his arms. Burai held her close, he looked around to see his captain. His vision was blurred. "TAKE THIS TRAITOR TO THE SHIP! You guys can take this little one." Burai blackened out.
Bura woke up, the smell of vomit thick in the air. He couldn't remember much, except he had a killer headache. Screams echoed throught the area. He was alone except an old blacksmith. He tried to think of what happened. The woman, the little girl. Slowly, very slowly it came back to him. He looked up, surprisied to find he wasn't alone. An old blacksmith sat on a cushion, a lone candle flickering next to him.
"You, my friend, have been out cold for the past few days. Each night, like tonight, the screams have been made." Burai didn't need to guess what they meant, the answer was clear to him. it was written on the man's face. Burai moved, sitting up slowly. The old blacksmith stood up and picked up what seemed to be a wrapped rug.
"Here." He set it near Burai, his face even. "For the past four days those screams have been made. For the past three, i worked on this. Do not lose it. Keep it with you. Make he right choice, follow your fate. This was the anchor you used to defend yourself. Now it's time to use it again. You have a weapon to save the innocent." With that said, the blacksmith left the area, going slowly up the stairs. Burai reached slowly for the "rug" removing the rope ties, looking at it. Indeed it resembled the anchor he once used. The weapon was quite old. "A worthless trident..." Burai found it quite humorous, and ironic. "It is a reflection of me." He stood up and reached the for spear, feeling it in his hands, feeling the texture in his hands.
He closed his eyes, remembering what happened. Another scream filled the air and he opened his eyes, rage filling him. These people were his family. Yet what they were doing to a female. He moved his weapon in his hand, rolling it around. They would pay for what they had and were doing. A thought crossed his mind. What if it were his fiancee, his love and his daughter? He felt an even more powerful rush of anger fill him.
He moved quickly up the stairs and unto the deck. The moon was at it's fullest and the light allowed him to see crew members. a few had smiles and boasted about what they had done. Disgust filled him quickly. He had called these people family once. Yet their acts were filthy, made them dirty. that's all that mattered to him. They had to pay for what they had done.
He looked at his weapon and wrapped the chain around his wrist. Moving his legs apart, one before the other, he threw the trident at the man,a feeling satisfication came over him. As he watched the trident injure the man. A fight broke out on the deck. Those who were loyal to Burai fought beside him. Those who were loyal to the captain, pointed their weapons at him.
Yanking the weapon back, he swung it around him, giving him enough room to move around and fight with his Trident. He was constantly throwing it and pulling it back to use, much like a harpoon. He spun around after knocking one unconcious and froze in place. The captain had arrived. Burai looked at everyone, who had arrived on the deck. The captain, the female, the girl and four other crew members.
His eyes traveled to the young girl and saw a bruise on her face. Her hands were bound, wrists cut up from the rope. Then he looked at the female. Bruises everywhere, clothes torn. He felt sick. Though he was furious before, he became enraged now. Looking at the female lost vaulable time. He couldnt stop but thinking, what if that was Yelena? What if she had been treated like that? And the daughter Mizuki? Someone shouted a warning and he spun around to see an enemy charging at him. Barely able to block it in time to keep himself from harm, he used the end of his spear that didnt have the anchor and hit the man in the groin area. After the man fell, he swung down, beheading the man.
It had been the perfect distraction. A scream, a child's scream filled the night and too late, he turned around to see the woman falling to the ground, blood pouring from her neck. She hit the deck with a thud, her eyes rolling back, her last breath leaving her body. He had failed her. He felt sick, and his eyes turned to the little girl. He had to protect her. He had failed her aunt. He wouldn fail her. Not now. Not ever. He vowed it to himself silently.
In a rage, he and those with him wiped out most of the crew. One of their men had taken the little girl so she wasn't in the way. Burai ended up behind the captain, the captain's men dead. "You deserve this for what you have done.." he said softly, and wrapped the chain around the captain's neck. Then he twisted, and pulled tightly, closing his eyes at the sound of the snap.
By the time the sun was up, only him, the little girl and his family were alive. The boat had blood all over the deck. The captain was dead.
Weeks later, Burai looked at the familiar land. For the past weeks he had taken from the rich, given to the poor with his family. He had protected and taken care of the little girl. She wouldn't talk to anyone, did nothing more than nod if asked a question. Burai looked at China. The little girl had reminded him that he had a family in China. Sun Yelena and his daughter Mizuki. He look at the docks and smiled softly to himself. It was time to go back home, bring with him the chaos of the sea.
Other details; Burai womanizering; often gets the best of him, he struggles to maintain it only control. He often becomes victims of women with a large bust line. This often leads to wooziness and nose bleeds.
