Lu Bu rode towards Xia Pi with a bored expression on his face. He had been sent to ensure that Xia Pi was safe from the Yellow Turbans. It was a mere errand and he knew that, but if it furthered his ambitions then it would have to be done. He could see the pale green banners of Tao Qian flying on the walls as he approached the city gates.
He stopped Red Hare as the guards strode out to meet him. They seemed to be basic guardsmen, not the idiots that Xiao Pei employed. He looked down at the small guards and spoke to them in his rough, deep tone.
"I am Lu Bu of Luo Yang. I've been sent here by the Han to ensure that Xia Pi is safe from the rebellion."
"YOU are not welcome here, Lu Bu! I have heard about your exploits! Burning villages and fields! Slaughtering mere peasants! Leave this place in peace, demon!"
The voice came from a well armored warrior that rode out from the gates. He stopped his horse within close proximity to Lu Bu, before the guards could reply to him. He seemed to think he was more important then he actually was. Fengxian narrowed his eyes and replied with anger lacing his tone.
"I have come in the name of HE JIN,you fool! Stand aside or I will kill you!"
"Never! I will protect Xia Pi from you, fiend! HA!", he yelled as he struck out with his spear.
"Then I will have your head, worthless scum!", Bu screamed as his Halberd deflected the spear.
Thus, the battle began. They circled around each other, jousting and parrying. The Champion was well versed in mounted fighting, however Lu Bu was unmatched. He used his weapon's width as his advantage and kept his enemy on the defensive. As one blade hit, another was swing around.
They matched each other blow for blow, the air around them making loud noises. As if it was imploding from the force of each lock of their weapons. Flashes of light and blinding speed kept onlookers in awe. Lu Bu was enjoying himself. He had not had a duel like this in a long time.
However, it was getting tedious and he looked to fulfill his mission and get back to the capital. He spurred Red Hare away from the champion and turned back. As the warrior charged his horse forward, Lu Bu reared back and flung his weapon like a giant disc of death. The Windmill of Blades flew towards him at curved angle, slicing off his torso from shoulder to the ribs on the opposite side.
The weapon flew back and Lu Bu caught it, nearly falling from Red Hare. He had not done that move in a long time. With a grunt of approval, he trotted Red Hare towards the city gates and raised his voice so that all could hear.
"I have slain your Champion! The protection of Xia Pi is now my responsibility! Let that be known!"
With that said, he entered the city and went to perform his original mission.
