Proving His Worth

[Kong Rou]

Kong Rou left the Palace with both a sense of satisfaction and disappointment. He was granted the lowest possible Rank in the forces aside from a foot soldier. Money was never an issue, but respect and responsibility are.

A menacing breeze coursed through the air and a chill ran up his spine.

So, because Burai has scars he is a good warrior hmm? Interesting, I've been in many battles yet I'm unscathed... I must be worthless on the battlefield?

Doubt was never something stuck in Rou's head, but he cared greatly for what his Lords opinion of him was, no matter how new to him he was. Perhaps that is what bothered him the most. That Rou didn't make the impression he was hoping for.

"Yuan Shao! I could defeat the world in one day, and rebuild it the next. Yet, you show me such disrespect...Why?!"

Rou had snapped, such a calm and collected young man unsheathed his Dragons Fang Sword in his left hand and began to combat the air. Maybe if his Lord saw his perfect technique he would know that he aquired two great warriors this day.

However, it is also better to battle a real opponent as opposed to a shadow, perhaps a battle would present itself...

[Cao Cao]

Zhi Fang was walking around Nei Pi's palaxe grounds, looking at things all around the palace. You might be wondering why and how Zhi Fang is in an enemy's palace? Zhi has killed a battle instructor and took his uniform. He sure put up a fight though. Zhi was walking around when he saw a man swinging at the air."Maybe I can get something out of him."Zhi took a deep breath and began to walk towards the officer.

[Kong Rou]

Kong Rou was in the middle of his swords dance when he saw wa figure approaching. Staring into the mans eyes he saw an evil intent... He looked like a combat instructor, but something was off. This would be interesting.

"Hello there, I am Kong Rou. Who may I ask are you?"

Rou kept his grip tight on his weapon... Something was uneasy here.

[Cao Cao]

"I am Bei Shourong, a combat instructor for our lord's armies. May I ask you why you are attacking the air?"Zhi had to give him a fake name, he couldn't take any chances.Nobody was to know that he was here. Especially not Yuan Shao. That old fool has been growing powerful recently and was becoming a threat to Sun Jian. Zhi looked at the man while he waited for a response.

[Kong Rou]

Kong Rou was no fool, no combat instructor would question an officer. An officers actions are beyond question. However, he may get a result he wanted... He would play along.

"I'm attacking the air because until now, there was nothing else to attack. Mind if I ask you a question? Who are you to question an officer in our Lords army?"

Rou hoped to stir up this imposters blood, and maybe shed some.

[Cao Cao]

Zhi said to himself, "Geez, since when was one person more special or important than others? I hate this Yuan Shao already." Zhi replied to the officer, "My apologizes sir. I shall not let it happen."As he said this, Zhi bowed at him in respect and so he could look like he was trying to beg him for forgivness.

[Kong Rou]

"No apologies needed Sir, I am still a little on edge. Would you mind a sparring session? I could really use the workout, and just between you and me. I want Yuan Shao to see me in action, im pretty well known in my home lands."

Rou set the trap, now he just needed this imposter to walk into it.

[Cao Cao]

Zhi had to accept the request. If he didn't, he might be be exposed."I shall be honored sir. You can make the first move."Zhi pulled out his longswor and twirled it around a few times and prepared his defenses.

[Kong Rou]

"My pleasure Sir"

Rou was no fool or novice to dueling. He knew excactly how to play his first move.

With his Long Dao in his left hand, he would make a very defensive first attack, speed would be his asset in this battle. Rushing towards the man then suddenly stopping he made a quick slash directed towards his enemies right hip.

He never expected to land a blow, he simply wanted to make his move without exposing himself.

[Cao Cao]

This man is pretty fast,he would have to keep my eye on that. With ease, Zhi batted the sword away and he followed up with a horizontal slash at the man's stomach.Zhi had his feet planted in a way so if needed, he could create some distance between the two.

[Kong Rou]

Rou knew blocking the weapon head on would not be a good idea as it was heavier than his Dao and could possibly break it. Rou spun clockwise and slid his blade along his enemies, changing its course. Being inside the mans blade, Rou lunged for his opponents left shoulder, hoping to stab it.

[Cao Cao]

That was pretty smart to block Zhi's attack that way. This officer was no push over. Zhi pushed on his feet and he leaped backwords a few feet. As soon as he landed, Zhi rushed at the man and did a quick upwards slash at him. "Let's see if he can block this one!" Zhi said to himself.

[Kong Rou]

Rou knew the attack was unavoidable, be he would be damned if he let his opponent go away unscratched.

Rou swung his sword around and hoped to take off his opponents head, in the same motion he leaned back. Too late, however, his opponents blade had sliced him in his chest. A flesh wound. He would fight on...

[Cao Cao]

Zhi quickly crouched, the opponent's sword cut off a few hairs off the top of Zhi's head. Keeping his momentum going, Zhi placed his right hand on the ground and did a sweeping kick at the opponent, trying to knock him off his feet. After he tried the kick, Zhi did a stab at him. If the kick connected, then it would be very difficult for the opponent to avoid Zhi's stab. Though if he missed, Zhi could get in some trouble.

[Kong Rou]

Kong Rou watched the hairs fall from his enemies head, a litle too close for comfort he was sure.

His eyes, moving as quickly as a hakws he saw the forecoming attack.

Rou lifted his leg up and brought it down onto his opponents, hoping to snap it in half, whilst swing his blade back around to knock his opponents off of its tragectory.

Lets see him fight one legged Rou thought to himself.
