The sun was out it was really early in the day. The warriors of the army of Shao were training together with there commander. There was not one of the militia that was a sleep they were there. The officers were also there looking at the trainees to chose who would be good enough to join with them during the war and be a part of there troops and also part of victory in the name of lord Yuan Shao.
Yuan Ji was in the back and watch the training closely to make sure that the people were at there correct rank in the army. She was sitting on the side of the high wall of Nan Ping that she likes looking at things from high points of the thing. She had her bow with her but had it hocked on her back and she was not planning to use it unless someone tries to kill another member of the army for no reason.
She looked toward the street after a while making sure there were no bandits or assassin that were ready to sneak in there region and try to kill Yuan Shao during the time the rest of the army were in training. The woods were making a lot of noise but it was all from animals and none from people. She see's a few animals running around the forest with the birds flying over including a eagle that was looking for a snack that will be a unlucky rabbit or mice.
A guards came to her and said that people were ready for war and are still training to be even better. She ignored most of the guards word still looking at the open and the forest wondering when will she be able to see the world in a peace were war will be gone and anything will be in a good peace. The hawk finally seem to have caught a large rat and flew to its nest that was in the same forest were it killed the rat to feed it self and maybe his babies.

The villagers and guards around the palace watched in awe as a man with red eyes and white robes ran lap after lap around the palace gates. On top of his white clothes there were bamboo packaged shaped boxes filled with metal and tied around his ankle and wrist, that weighed at 50 pounds each. One could say this is torture but to this man and his brother Burai, this was a normal work out. He started from the break of dawn and continued his run until the early afternoon when the heat wave hit. Sweat covered his tan body and he had to occasion whip his eyes with a hand to keep the sweat out. He panted softly as he ran occasionally taking small bottles of water offered by the children of the city and drinking it to keep him hydrated.
"499....Just one more lap to go!" He exclaimed out loud to motivate himself to run continuously. He began to feel his ribbed cramp lightly, his mouth with dry once more, he could feel the heat raise as the sun shined down on him. He continued to pant lightly to keep his breathing regular as he could. His heart pumped fast as his blood level rose. He wiped his eyes once more, a smile remained on his face. Despite how he felt this was just helping him wake up. He laughed as he neared the end of his final lap. Men, women and children clapped at he began to stop. Kid happily running to him with wooden cups of water trying to reach for his mouth. He patted a few kids on their head and leaned over to take a few sip. "Thank you children." He said happily looking up and waving to the people.
Unlike his seemingly cold brother, he was warm hearted, although sometimes difficult with other men. He was softer to the women and the children. He smiled with his eyes mostly closed so he doesn't scare the people off with is demonic eyes. This scars on his face scared most people enough already. Although many women found it to be attractive. This was also a good tactic, if the people felt safe they were more likely to be nicer. Though he didn't expect them to be so happy to see one of the officers to be able to do this. But then again him and Burai were extremely different from the average person. He began to untie the weights off his wrists and ankles and placed them over his shoulder. "Again you have my thanks people of Nan Pi." He said cheerfully then bowing his head, in return the people around him bowed with respect. As he left they began to murmur of him as they continued with what they were doing.
He made his way to the inn where they were staying, to drop off his weights and pick up his blades, while in the room he figure since he was up to do a little more work outs. Using his blades he hooked into a wall and began to pull himself up and down to work up and down for a while. Then laid on the ground and began to work on his abs. After another hour of working out he walked out he rested the blades on his left shoulder while rolling out his other shoulder, his body still full of sweat. He found himself as gross, and decided to take a bath out in the forest where it was more peaceful then work on his swordsmanship and hand to hand fighting. He made his way to the forest then spotted a woman in armor.
Who was this woman, he had never seen her before. Was she part of the Yuan army? He did not know, nor care for all that matter. He sighed for a moment realizing he was still rather sweaty, so he didn't expect to flirt to much with her at the moment, he didn't mind if she was part of this army he would see her again soon any way, so rather than flirt he would just casually talk. "You heading to the forest ma'm? Mind accompanying me for a while? We can part ways when I reach my destination." He said soundly.

She looked at the warrior and recognize him instantly. "Greetings Hiroshi, I would never thought you would come close to me since we never meet since you join the army of Yuan Shao." She smiled watching to see how he will react from the comment that she just thrown at him. Will Hiro freak out and try to kill her which the guards will stop him in less then five second to place him to his death. She did not want him dead but it was the way he will react from the words that she just thrown to her.
Yuan Ji guard the one that was appointed by Yuan Shao came to her. "My lady, is this officer bothering you in anyway?" She smiled at the guard and send the guard back to his place. "I am Yuan Ji, the daughter of Yuan Shao. I am honored to meet a renown warrior like yourself that decided to come here and protect the right full position of my father at the throne." She finally got up and looked at the warrior that with her.
She looks back at the woods from the wall they were on. "I am sorry if I confused you, I have no intention going in the wilderness today. I just like looking at the woods when it is so peaceful and silent." She then stopped talking to the man and continue watching the action of the forest the peace that it was having from these time.
"What is the reason you are leaving the kingdom wall's?" She turn around afterward and look at the militia training to become the bowmen and it just makes her laugh on how bad there aim are. "They do not have any aim do they?" She then took her bow aims for a open targets fires it right in the middle of the target. When the fight is not on her bow skills are almost perfect but during battles her nerves get in the way and that is why she does not battle.

So, this is Nan Pi, huh?
The cloaked figure stood outside the walls of the capital of the city, having being granted entrance by using a merchant's wagon earlier. Yeah, he had sneaked in. Since when had he never. However, this being the capital, it was definitely going to be a lot easier. Still it felt kinda odd at how many guards there were on the walls and outside it. It was not till he was close to the capital did he figure where the army actually was. In the large courtyard of the said place, training. The sound was way too loud to not be heard outside the city walls. Ah, hell, all the better for him. At least now there was no one to stop him.
Standing right outside the gate to the capital, was but only a squad of spearmen. Gate guards, their rank probably was. With the hood of his cloak still covering his face and thus his identity, he approached the guards, catching their attention soon enough. Two of them stepped forward, while the back too proceeded to adjust their spears in a more menacing position. The cloaked individual would just stop as soon as he was at arm's reach of the two approaching spearmen.
"Who are you, and what business do you have in Nan Pi?"
Well, he was bound to run into that question sooner or later, right? When he initially came to China, that question had always been thrown to him, being a foreigner and all. However, as time had passed, and his skill in his field became more popular among the lords of this gigantic country, it was toned down just his business. His appearance was enough to deduce his identity. His hands reached up to the base of his hood, before pulling it off him slowly, revealing the said signature part of his look that defined him.
His raven black hair, streaked with strands colored as red as blood, his equally-hued irises looking forward at the one who had addressed him. And the spearman instantly recognised him, taking a step, the other three following suite. They knew who he was. The assassin who had made quite a name for himself. When he had come to China, the first job he had taken was the assassination of Zhang Bo. And he had succeeded, bringing about the success of the Han's attempt to reclaim Pu Yang.
Yuan Shao had been there. And had hired him from then.
"Forgive us, assassin. We did not recognise you."
Hiei simply nodded, resisting the temptation to shoot back the fact that that was the purpose of the cloak. To prevent people from recognising him. With that, he would walk past the four cautious gate guards, finally entering the capital and being welcomed by a large party of militias training in different aspects of combat. Some wielded swords, others spears and a couple more notably practicing the art of archery. Hiei would allow himself a quick brief view, before looking up at the capital building itself, where Yuan Shao would be at.
He had yet to report to the man, but he figured that perhaps he could roam around here a bit, see what he would be working with soon enough.
Oh yes. Masaaki Hiei, the Japanese assassin, was now under the banner of Yuan Shao.

His face filled with false surprise and slight amusement acting like he cared whether or not she knew him at the moment being tired from his long run. His eyes still mostly closed with a slight opening to see who he was talking and where he was walking, hiding the fact that he had red eyes. He had to admit that the people of the Yuan did not run after seeing the color of his eyes, proclaiming him as a hellish demon. Rather a great warrior to have under their ruler, psh, there was only one person he was loyal to and that was his elder brother, Burai.
He looked to the guard plainly, as though he was asking to be killed, but then again the guard was after all doing his job. Being a guard. "It's nice to meet you, Yuan ji." He said informally without the bow and treating her like a princess. He knew of manners, he knew what to do in a formal court and audience but there was something about him that mattered more, he honestly didn't care for it. He only bowed to those he respected, he was polite to specific people only if he had to. In a casual meeting like this, there was no reason for him to be so formal around her. It was just who he was.
"Like I said you can accompany me if you want to. It would save me the boredom of walking alone." He stated soundly so he wouldn't sound like he was trying to be mean. He was only stating the obvious being in a need for a bath. "I was going to take a bath after having a long run and harsh training for myself. If you just want to stay back by all means do so. Otherwise you can join me then part ways if you want. A simple yes or no would be fine." He said casually waiting for her answer, either way he didn't care. Like he said it would save him the boredom of walking alone. And he guess it would be good to get to know the daughter of his employer a bit.
(sorry for the shortness.)
