Name: Baozhai Lin
Age: 21
Residence: Bei Ping
Appearance: Lin has a soft face, most of the time her facial expressions seem to match that. Light colored cloths adorn her body; rarely does a dark color ever seem to be upon her body. Eyes a crystal blue yet they appear to hold very deep emotions of which she rarely shows. Her body is rather slender, though she is of an average height for a woman. A young complexion is what seems to paint her face most of the time. Often she wears dresses that seem to fit her perfectly. Uniquely beautiful jet black hair .
Personality: Her personality is quite collect. Rarely does she let her temper over whelm her self control. Around her grandmother she often bites back her tongue and rarely says anything against. Most people she is generally shy around and often apologetic as though her presence is a problem. There are a few people that she will open herself up to, that she feels free to actually be herself around. Often her actions are done to please her mother and family; she gives little worry towards what she herself wants.
Most of what she wants is to honor her family and often she will set aside what she wants just to make them happy. Lin does not think she will really find love; whoever her family set her with is who she is meant to be with. Its simple how she looks at marriage, it is her duty, nothing more really. To most she appears quite uptight though her voice is very light and she is a rather gentle person to everyone. Putting others above herself is how she works.
Weapon: Biyu~ Sword, the handle has gems of dark blue colors in the handle.
Weapon Strengths: Light weight
Weapon Weaknesses: She is more of a weakness for the sword as she has trained very little with it. As her family disapproves and often she can only hold it up and fight for short periods of time.
Armour: i27.tinypic.com/xcm63m.jpg bam
History: Her father came from a noble family and her mother was born nothing more then a peasant. While her father learned more of how to be far more intellectual and such at high learning schools her mother was fighting for her life. When her mother was a teenager she was well versed in how to fight and knew her way around the streets very simply. Fighting skills were beyond what any teenager girl of her age was normally meant to know. She was poor though, never had she known her parents so it was not as if she had a path carved out in front of her.
Lin’s father on the other hand was meant to have a whole future planned out for him, a whole life that he was meant to live in great joy. Rarely do any of us though, want what is seemingly paved in front of us, we want something far more. One day though her father was in the streets heading home and was attacked by a few seemingly thugs, as he knew very little of how to defend himself he was an easy target. Luckily though, as it happened to be her mother was near and as luck would have it was able to save him though he was barely holding on to his life. She took him to her home and nursed him back to health, and when asked what had kept him alive for those days he would of told you it was the voice and hands of a angel.
Soon after though he was sent home, yet he kept coming back to see her and just to be in her presences. Her mother had convinced herself though that this man could not be in love with her, he was above her so he could never fall for her, and it was that simple. Little did she know that he was falling deeply in love with her though at the same time he was conflicted. His parents had arranged something with another family to have him marry their daughter, to tie their families together. She was pretty he guessed when he met her, and she seemed fairly nice though all the same, it was just not the other women…the angel.
A few days before he was meant to wed this woman, he could not keep it locked inside of him any longer and told her mother how he felt, how he had loved her for so long. Over whelmed with the fact that he actual loved her, they spent the night together. In the morning though, he left because no matter how much he loved her, his utter sense of honor for his family was so present. With that he married the other women, though his thoughts threw time would always wonder back to the angel he had once had. During the next few months, her mother discovered that she was to have a baby, knowing she could not do it on her own she had to go to the only person she knew who could help her, the father. When she finally came to him and told him, he insisted that he loved her and something in him would not let her raise the child on her own.
He then did something that his father to this day says is the reason his mother died, him and the other women split and he married Lin’s mother. Though it only lasted for a while, after having the child she was sent off to help in a war…where she would return for her burial. She died for a country that she had loved, and that was what Lin had always looked up to her for. Her mother died when she was about seven and the memories of her death had always stuck with her, as she had a certain attachment to her mother. She had been her mentor, taught her at least a bit about what she needed to know about fighting and the rest of it Lin learned from her best friend.
After her mother’s death, Lin closed herself off from most of the other little girls and the only person who dared to reach other to her was in fact a little boy. He was a little rough around the edges and was known to let his temper to get ahead of them though she seemed to calm the beast in him. When they were about twelve or so, he had told her that he would marry her when they were older and he would take her away from the home that he knew she now desperetly wanted to feel love in. Though even when she was little, no matter how much her father and grandmother ignored her and treated her like a trophy she always wanted to please them. It was odd to her young friend how she wanted to please the people who treated her so badly; it was merely her human instinct.
Then when they grew older, about sixteen or so her friend decided that he did feel more for her, that he was really truly in love with her. That all of those times when they were little and he had told her he meant to marry her that he really meant it, that was truly what he wanted. Of course, by that time they were no longer aloud to see each other after all he was not as rich and as high in stature as they were, that would look bad on their part. So when he had snuck into the home and wanted to ask her to be his wife, they had guards around her room and immediately apprehended him. Her father and grandfather made up a story, and it made it appear as though he had come into her room with the intent to rape her and in fact murder her.
With the simple work of a rich man in a corrupt system, they agreed to have him executed for such crimes against a noble. Lin remembered that day, the day her best friend and the only person she had ever fallen for died. It was a cold day; rain was falling upon the Earth…which was soon stained rain with the blood of innocence. Threw all of that though, somehow Lin still remains honorable to her family, believing there must be some goodness left in them.
