The years after the Yellow Turban Rebellion didn't change much, the removal of a rebellion caused another and chaos throughout the lands spread like fire upon dry grounds. The feudal lords however were preparing for something far more important. The Imperial Grand Commander He Jin was assassinated by the Ten Attendants which in-turn lead to Dong Zhuo, Yuan Shao and other important figures arising and defining there mark upon the lands. Dong Zhuo took complete command of the situation, replacing the Emperor with the Prince of Chen Liu - Emperor Xian; he easily manipulated the political situation of China - removing enemies firmly and without remorse.
Cao Cao understanding the situation attempted to assassinate Dong Zhuo but fled when he was almost caught by Lu Bu. After fleeing he crafted an Imperial Edict to summon the rest of the feudal lords against Dong Zhuo; forming a coalition against Dong Zhuo's rule.
