Name: Liao Wei (Styled Shuohan)
Age: 45
Birthplace: Xu Chang
Appearance
- Height: 6’2’’
- Weight: 213 lbs
- Eyes: Darker shade of brown
- Build: Muscular and toned physique, albeit age mixed with countless battles has left his skin ragged, scarred, and beaten.
- Clothing: Usually seen wearing plated armour, in a style that resembled that of imperial guardians. A chest piece effectively covers his torso and abdomen, and has several regal patterns marked finely onto the breast, each lined with a beautiful silver shine. Similar styled gauntlets and greaves cover his limbs, each with spaces at the joints to allow for considerable mobility. A beautifully adorned helm sits atop his skull, with a deep blue plume erupting from its crown, and draping down Wei’s shoulders. To complete this uniform, a velvety blue cape hangs down from his frame, lined with a bright golden thread, the whole garment just skimming the ground as he walks.
- Misc: His shoulder length dark hair is usually bound up in a tight knot atop his head, both out of safety within battle, and as a testament to his reverent demeanour
Personality:
Stalwart and stern, Liao Wei walks with a sense of reverence for all things deserving of it. Having short tolerance for inefficiency and rudeness, he takes pride in showing his own sense of unwavering duty in the face of those less committed. Despite this perceived nobility, Wei has a taste for alcohol, often leading him to a cruel streak of both physical and psychological abuse. Due to his stalwart nature, Wei is conservative minded, and regularly disapproved of any radical change to the norm, voicing his opinion when needed. What words the man does use are sharp, succinct, and precise.
Weapon:
Liao Wei’s primary strength is his skill in armed, man-to-man combat. He wields an eight foot long spear as his main instrument of destruction, always kept at his side on the battlefield. The blade itself is slightly curved, and the edge of it is serrated, giving it the ability to tear through weak armour, and flesh, with ease. Both the shaft and the blade are of medium to large thickness, giving it durability in any clash of weapons, and making it suitable in times of defence.
Hugging his hip is a standard issue long sword, nestled safely within a beautifully adorned scabbard. Whilst not his preferred weapon, he is again suitably adept in using it, and it is only given air in times of ceremony, display, or worse - desperation.
Weapon Weakness:
Being near basic weapons, they lack any significant disadvantages; their usefulness can only be judged through the wielder.
Armour: (See above)
History:
A highly skilled veteran of countless wars, Liao Wei has learnt that life is tough, and the only way to beat it is by being tougher.. And perhaps through alcohol. In his lifetime he has served a variety of skilled warlords to the best abilities, garnering wide attention from friend and foe alike for both his brilliant mind and adept skill with weaponry. He has few close friends, and even fewer living relations. Having little time for marriage (albeit ample time for casual women), Liao Wei never managed to foster his own family; instead, a young girl by the name of Ling Xao became somewhat of a daughter to him after she sought his training. Following the death of his last master, Wei now has settled down under the watchful eye of the local lord Cao Cao, seeing in him a great potential to further hone his skills.
