[Yen Wang (Burai)]

Burai was off to the side he was tending to his foot. That was royally stomped by Kaihime. “She didn’t have crush my foot like that. It was only a kiss on the cheek..” Burai rested his back against the wall. As he picked at the stew in the bowl eating it gradually with his fingers.

Burai watched the others leave the room; it was only him, and Miu. She seemed to be upset, more than what he anticipated. He took a moment to watch Kaihime leave. “No matter what I do I am still at a lost..” Burai tossed the bowl aside and caught and evil glare from Miu.

Burai's sad theme plays on repeat

She spoke to him; her words pierced him deeper than her stare. “Yes a woman’s heart is never meant to be played with. While a man’s can be obliterated..” Burai pushed of the wall and walked closer to Miu. “Honestly I didn’t know you had such feelings..” He couldn’t bear to look at her due to all the guilt. “Suki and Kiyomi weren’t like normal women. Suki made her affection toward me public, even though I had no desire to lay with her. I saw her as my sister..”

Burai stepped further away from Miu, and turned away from her. “Kiyomi was hired to kill me, but I bested her, and caused her to fail that task. She was an assassin that never missed her mark..I was her first. She became obsessed with me and idolized me. I had these two women as my guards. I betrayed their loyalty and left them without a word… Hell has no fury like a woman scorned.” Burai grabbed two sake bottles and headed toward the kitchen door.

“Miu..I’m sorry, but it would be best if you just forgot about me.” Burai heart sank, today had to be the best day he ever had. These wounds, a hurt pride, endangered the life of Anrui. Now breaking a young woman’s heart. Burai was devil among men. He slowly stepped out of the room and walked down the hall to the room he was staying in.

The newcomer went off and stalked Kaihime. “She looks like she can fend for herself; she probably doesn’t want to see me for the rest of the night.” Burai sat at the edge of his bed and opened the sake bottle. “C’mon good ol’ sake feel that dark void within my heart!” Burai brought the flask to his lips and guzzled most of its liquor away. “Ahh...” This wasn’t enough, Burai finished the flask and casted it violently to the side. The sake bottle hit the wall and shattered into pieces.

He flopped backward; his feet dangled off the side of the bed. “Death is cruel” He looked up into the darkness if his room. "I'm going to need alot more sake.."

[kaihime]

Kaihime was considering going for a dip in the spring, that was before she heard someone coming. She didn't move, she stayed crouched down at the springs edge with ehr hand gently moving across the waters surface. She had expected Burai to be the one approaching, she had ruled Miu out as the footsteps didn't have her sandals pony like clack. she was slightly surprised when the man that had assumed Burai was the murderer entered the room and casually wandered out to the spring and spoke to her.

"Hello my lady, I do not mean to frighten you, but i would like to talk with you. Do you mind if I sit next to you and feel the water?"

Kaihime was tired and therefore as friendly as a viper and talkative as a mime at the current time. "you give yourself alot of praise to assume that you could scare me. As for seating yourself next to me, i do not own these springs. Feel free to do as you wish"

Chapter 2; Calm Before the storm


Burai was lying on the bed, trying to drift slowly into the abyss of the darkness. He was allowing the sake to take over. “Tonight would be another boring.” Lightning soon roared through the sky; creating a flash of light through the dark abyss of the room. A figured appeared in the corner of the room. Burai sighed, “I was trying to enjoy my night.

The figured tossed Burai’s trident on the bed. Burai sat up and placed his hand on his weapon, sighing. “Its rather late, I’m tired.” Thunder rippled through out the sky. “Step outside, don’t mention a word to the others.” Burai lifted his head, counting in Japanese. “Ichi, ni, san shi-“ Lightning flashed downward from the clouds; the figure placed a locket of hair in Burai’s hand. He brought the hair to his nose and sniffed. “Anrui!” Burai instantly picked up his trident a swing it backward.

Burai swing was stopped, by something. “ The brat is safe, and will be that way if you step outside.” Burai gritted his teeth and slowly stood up and walked out of his room. He slowly walked down the hallway and made his way outside back into the rain. Anrui stood in front of him in the hands of Suki. She had all her bandits with her; they “Tch, it hasn’t been two days…” Burai said, gripping his trident firmly

Suki traced his hand along Anrui’s face, then slapping her. “I know, I lied..” She smiled sweetly at him. “Burai what will you do?” Burai brought his trident forward. “Do you even have to ask?” He lunged forward suddenly; Anrui was the only thing on his mind. “I’ll lay it all on the line for the ones I hold dear.”

Suki kicked Anrui forward; and then took a step back. “Kiyomi!” Thunder roared, as Kiyomi appeared charging passed Suki; her blade was drawn, and her eyes were fixated on Anrui. “Ichi, ni, san shi” A lightning flashed, creating a blinding light; strucking a near by tree. A cry of a young girl filled the dark night ski.

The clouds began to pour down harder than before. As everything settled down Burai was kneeling down in a puddle of blood, with his trident on the ground. Kiyomi stretched forward toward his chest. Burai looked down, tears brimmed over his eyes. Anrui was in his arms with the tip of Kiyomi’s blade in her chest.

Burai pulled the blade out of her, quickly. He held her close to his chest. “Anrui, why did you move…” Burai recalled the last few moments. Burai dropped Nanki and embraced Anrui quickly. Kiyomi lunged forward, Burai swayed Anrui to the side. As it were Burai would've took her blade in the heart. At the last moment Anrui moved in front of of the blade. She wouldn’t allow these women to hurt the man she loved.

Anrui placed her hand on his face. Her eyes sparkled; “B-ba-bar..” Burai heard her trying to speak. “I know…I know..” Anrui smiled and him and coughed, blood smeared on Burai’s neck. Suddenly her hand became weak and fell from his face and down to her chest. Burai tears flowed down his eyes as he braced her, nuzzling her.

Burai turned away from the group and gently laid Anrui on the inn, wrapping her up with his jacket. Once she was secure he stood of staring at Suki and Kiyomi. “I will bring you both to your knees. You’ll will regret making me feel such sorrow and hatred." He picked up his trident and swung it violently around. Slapping the head of it in the ground.

Suki stared at him. He wasn’t the old Burai. He didn’t hunger for the lust of blood or thrill of the kill. He was controlling his rage, allowing it to blend with his sorrow. “I thought you would come to your senses. You still refuse to come back to your senses. Kiyomi step back. We’ll let the bandits play with him." Kiymoi nodded and returned to Suki’s side.

“That is a part of my past,, I’m not that weak anymore. Since you want to taste my hatred I’ll rip you apart with my fangs!” The bandits charged forward at Burai. He gritted his teeth, as he stayed in front of Anrui. “Who wants to meet their ancestors!?!”A bandit with a shortsword charged Burai from the side thrusting his sword forward. Burai smirked, this man weapon was far too short to compete with his length. Burai thruled his trident and firmly gripping it in his left hand. He thrusted I forward into the man’s throat. The force behind the thrust sent the man airborne and back to where he came. Another bandit lunged at Burai from behind.

Burai grabbed his chain with his right hand and flung it into the man stomach; the man caught the end of the chain and held it in place. Burai quickly rotated the trident in his left hand. Bring it over his head, he gripped it tightly and brought it down on the fool’s skull.

All the random movement opened the gash on his chest. Burai fell down to one knee. Using the trident as a crutch. He looked forward at the group of men closing in. “Sorry…Brother…I succeeded in overpowering the darkness..I couldn’t protect Anrui…” Burai looked back at Anrui, and staggered to his feet resting on the trident. “Come…You’ll need 1000 more men to claim my life.” He boasted, its was an obvious bluff.

Kaihime heard a noise, she waited for a moment honing in on the sounds origin and cause. Hearing the sound once more Kaihime leapt from her crouched position near the spring and raced past Zhi Fang practically knocking him into the water on her way past. Her heart began to race ad her blood pump with adrenaline as she heard the sounds of battle, It wasn't far from where she was. Kaihime turned the corner behind Burai and saw him on one knee using his trident as a crutch. Damn he's injured again!

“Sorry…Brother…I succeeded in overpowering the darkness..I couldn’t protect Anrui…” The group of men attacking him were closing in on him and a young girl he cradled in his arms. Must be Anrui

“Come…You’ll need 1000 more men to claim my life.” Leaping into action Kaihime ran forward blitzing past the injured Burai and positioned herself between him and the approaching men. Her sword drawn (the one that extends) and in a fighting stance, ready.

"Come and get it boys, if you think you can take me that is" Kaihime taunted the men standing tall and firm in her resolve to protect Burai and Anrui. She was looking forward to a good fight and this was as good as any.

Burai staggered backwards in pain, being careful not to step on Anrui. This didn’t bode well from him, or his companion. Suddenly Kaihime rushes in front of him readying herself for battle. Burai looked at her gasping, and panting. “Kai..hime..take Anrui and the others and just go.” Burai stood up tall using his free hand to hold his chest.

He didn’t want any more women to get hurt for his sake. He never seen Kaihime fight, but he was more worried about her safety. Staring at the back of her helplessly. He shifted his eyes looking all around. Trying to fing an opening that he could use to get her out.

Suki threw her arm forward. “Burai always having to surround himself by women. You could’ve chosen a more beautiful one to die by your side. Do what you want with the woman boys!” The bandits began shouting and cheering amongst each other. Two of the bandits couldn’t keep the excitement to themselves. They both pulled out their short swords and lunged forward at Kaihime. Burai’d eyes shot open. “Kaihime!”

Kaihime ignored Burai's pleads for her to leave. A woman incited the bandits into attacking Kaihime in their excitement. Two bandits lunged forward towards her with their short swords drawn. Kaihime stepped forward with her right foot as the men came within 3 metres of her. Leaning her entire body backwards using her right foot for balance Kaihime ducked the two men's horizontal slashes. As the man to her right passed her in his momentum Kaihime held her blade out at his knee height. Falling to the ground in agony as the mans leg was removed the bandit cursed. His friend that was on Kaihime's left was tripped by her left arm as she stuck it out almost simultaniously.

Standing Kaihime dug her blade into the fallen man's chest, leaving the now one legged man alive as he crawled over to the wall and held his leg focusing on living. Kaihime removed her blade from the chest of her foe and turned back to face the woman. She gave her sword a flick cleaning it of the blood that once covered it. "you were saying" Kaihime smirked at the woman.

[Cao Cao]

Zhi turned quickly as he saw Kaihime run away. Zhi quickly followed her and saw Burai on the floor, injured. In front, Zhi saw a few men who Kai was engaging. She was holding her own for now, so Zhi had some time to try and look at Burai, to see if he could get back into the fight. Though as soon as Zhi see's Kai struggling, Zhi would go and help. Zhi bent over Burai and took a look at his injury.

(OOC:It looked liked u were handling them fine Kai so I will let u fight them for a while )

Burai push the new comer aside and staggered to where the one legged bandit was recover. He stretched out his arm and pointed the trident outward. “Kaihime, if you were beaten by these fools….They wouldn’t show you any kindness..” Burai curved his wrist inward, so the tip of the trident was pointing at the man. “I won’t let any of these vermin live.” Burai arched his arm, and cocked it back. Once his arm was pulled back enough. It shot forward; the head of the blade was driven into the man’s neck.

Burai turned around and walked forward; his whole pain throbbed with pain. Those who gazed upon him could how hurt he was. His blood began to bleed through the bandages on his chest. Burai continued to stagger forward, his legs began to numb. His vision began to blur. He slowly walked passed Kaihime, he paid no attention to her . Burai’s eyes were locked on Suki. “Stay put…”


“Tch He’s just a walking corpse!” A bandit wielding a spear dashed toward Burai’s side. As the bandit ran he began to twirl his spear. At the mid point of the charge he brought the spear above his head; he gripped the spear tightly and swung downward. Burai jerked his body back, pivoted on his right foot. The spear was just shy of cutting him. Burai quickly slashed upward; the trident rose from the man’s right thigh to the left of his chest.


The bandit body flew back, and landed at the base of Kaihime’s feet. “S..uki” Burai continued to stagger forward. Another bandit decided to try his luck, but before he could attack. Burai trident crashed down upon the top of his skull. The bandits stood in shocked and in awe, by his prowess. Suki Screamed! “Kill him!” The bandits all moved out of his way and cleared a path.

"You are such a coward as to hide behind you lackey's! hmph pathetic" Kaihime folded her arms and taunted the woman, her aim was to lure her out and into combat. She knew that despite his willingness and pride burai was not going to be able to fight the way he wanted. "i suppose i should have known you were all bark and no bite" kaihime taunted againm she had a feeling that the woman was the type not to take insults laying down.

[Cao Cao]

Zhi stood amazed at Burai's prowess. It seemed like all his rage, anger, and hatred had all grown to their highest points every step Burai got closer to this, "Suki" girl. Perhaps this was the woman that killed the people in the inn. It seemed that Burai knew her, no wonder why he was so consumed with his rage. Zhi pulled his longsword out, but stayed back, he did not want to get in the way of Burai. Though if he was needed, Zhi would be the first there to help. Though for now, Zhi watched the battle unfold infornt of him.

Burai slowly staggered his way forward; the bandits all began to tremble. “What a monster!” A bandit screamed, pointed his spear at him. Burai eyes franticly search for Suki. “I will kill her-“Suddenly numbness swept over his legs. Burai stood in place; looking around. The wound on his chest worsen Burai coughed up blood. The surge of pain caused him to fall two his knees.

His trident was becoming heavy; He gritted his teeth, and held on to it. He was becoming harder to breathe. Burai looked ahead to see Suki approach him. He didn’t have the lift his trident. She knelt next to him, caressing his face lovingly. “That look in your eye, all this was worth it. We should have killed that girl sooner.”

Burai eye widen, as he listened to her. “Jigoku e ne noro” He muttered. Suki smiled, and then giggled. “Seems you haven’t forgotten where you came from. I can’t have you talking to me like that! I am a lady after all.” She grabbed him by the hair and slammed his face into the mud. She then should up slowly and walked to his side and kicked him in the ribs; the force of her kick sent his sliding across the mud. “Patheic, my love…You let yourself go.”

Kiyomi pointed her blade at Suki, “You inflict and more pain, onto my idol and I will send you to hell succubus!” Suki sighed, and nodded. She turned her attention to the tomboy. “Why don’t you go take that fool behind you and let him explore your manly physique? I don’t have time to waste with such a woman….Kiyomi why don’t you go deal with her.”

Kiyomi stared at Suki, “I’m not your pawn. She is in the way, Burai showed concerned for her.. I will remove her so he will no longer have to be worried.” She turned her gaze to Kaihime. Slowly began to walk forward toward her. “No hard feelings, I rather not take orders from her. She is annoying, but my idol must not display such weak emotions." She pointed her nodachi at the woman. “You and your boyfriend can come at me both if you like.”

Suki laughed as she watched Kiyomi. She turned her gaze over to Burai , she casually walked over to him and knelt down placing his head in her lap. “It’s ok love, once we remove these insects you can be with me and…her” She nuzzled him gently, and ordered the bandits to give them some room. "Back up! Come protect my lord and me."

Kaihime did as Burai had instructed her, she stayed put and allowed him to approach the women. However when he 'kissed' the mud so to speak she took a step forward struggling to stay put. Her anger began to well inside her, the things the women were saying were practically psychotic. Suki seemed as if she loved him but at the saem time wanted to cause him pain while Kiyomi also seemed to love him. Watching as Suki cradled the now almost dead Burai, Kaihime sheathed her sword and withdrew her two smaller blades. Preparing herself for some serious combat with the approaching woman Kaihime's eyes focused on her taking in her stance and motions. In battle Kaihime transformed into an almost different person.

"be the dog you are and obey your master, I will send you running back to her with your tail between your legs!"

((sorry it's short and not very good xD i was stuck for what to write since alot happened in you post Burai xD anyway bring it on SUKI!!))

[Cao Cao]

Zhi noticed Kai go towards the woman to battle her. Zhi decided that she could handle her. Though the bandits might get in her way. Zhi unsheathed his longsword and ran towards a bandit. He did an upward slash, and since the bandit did not pay him any attention, was caught off guard and could not block the slash in time. As he began to fall, his eyes closed and they would stay closed for all eternety. Zhi yelled at the rest of the bandits, hoping to get their attention,"Come on fools! Come and fall like your pitiful commrade, if you can!!" Zhi charged at the bandits, hoping that he could give Kai enough time to deal with her opponent.

Kiyomi stared at the woman; her eyes showed no sign of emotion, and were a dull grey. Suddenly the man drew his weapon and moved toward the bandits. Her eyes followed Zhi. That man was quite odd, leaving women to do all the work? Such a man was pitiful, she would end his miserable soon enough. She turned “I rather be a dog, than a flea infested mongrel!”

Kiyomi lunged forward; midway through her lunge, she brought the hilt above her chest. Her forearms arched downward; her elbows were paraell from each other and locked into place. As she neared Kaihime she pivoted on her right foot, trying to gain better position, Kiyomi spun around her; due to the she didn’t have proper footing, her balance on this attack would be off. She swung down violent in spite of this, opening to catch Kaihime off guard.

The bandits cirled around Zhi; cutting him off from Burai and Kaihime. Suki kissed the top of Burai and grinned. “What an idiot..Very well, Kill him!” Suki caressed Burai, gently rubbing his battered and bruised body with her hands. While nuzzling his cheek with her own. “Burai, forsaken those who attach themselves to you. They are weak..Looking for someone to guide them. You are a ravager, not a leader.”

Suddenly a bandit lunged recklessly from behind, hoping to catch Zhi off his guard.

[kaihime]

Kaihime kept her gaze forward as Kiyomi spun around her on her right foot, watching her actions and keeping her in sight through the scorner of her eye. Waiting for the opportune moment Kaihime kept calm and remained still. The very moment that Kiyomi disappeared from Kaihime's sight she stepped her right foot forward and pivoted on it slightly so as to turn to face Kiyomi all the meanwhile crouching down onto one knee.

The blade in Kaihime's left hand met Kiyomi's blade and the clash of metal sounded out. With all her strength Kaihime held Kiyomi's blade in place. With her other blade Kaihime attacked at Kiyomi's abdomen striking vertically.
