Burai settled himself into a town that was near Nan pi easily; he managed to make a few acquaintances. He felt incredibly out of place; when asking for a room at the Mayor’s home. He was happy to obliged and let him stay in the room his son once stayed in. Only if he would help in the field for each day that he stayed
The next day, he joined the men and women in thw fields. He had a debt to repay the mayors kindness. Burai could tell that the town had fallen on rather times due to the Yellow Turbans. Looking around at everyone; their hearts broken, pride striped. They were defeated. He had decided to stay there for a few weeks, each morning he would arrive at the fields and work.
Burai’s first few weeks fine. Until rumors about the Yellow Turbans was the average gossip. He paid it no mind of first. Until the Mayor spoke to him about it over dinner. His concerns meant nothing to him. He was only helping with the field, to repay his hospitality. Feeling that would be a tad hypocritical for him to ignore the mayor’s feelings. Burai agreed to look into it, but he was expecting to be rewarded
He resented, but still took advantage of the mayor hospitality. The mayor had a false sense of security in Burai. Burai felt it was necessary to fed off of it The Yellow Turbans disbanded, so these rumors would soon die off. Just as the Yellow turbans did themselves.
The town’s depression worsen, feeling unsafe they believed the times of piece were over and turbulent times was what awaited them. Burai thought this town needed to be reminded of kinship. A town that bonded together sharing all of their pains and suffering and kindler more gentler moments too.
It was going on the third week, Burai had been waking up in the middle of the night. He figured the townspeople would be asleep. Burai decided to take a stroll of the town. Some reason, there was a light illumining from the farm. It made him feel curious, who would be up at this hour. He sleathly crept to the barn. He slowly pressed his face against a hole; there was a slit was big enough for him to see through. There were three figures; two oversized men and a smaller one.
“I want this town to cower in fear! We’ll keep given them those false rumors.” Burai sighed these three men were the cause of it all. Fighting them there would only damage the barn, and they would no fess upp to their actions. Burai would have to catch them in the act.
Burai headed back to the mayor’s and went to bed. The net morning he was in a bad mood, the night before was really annoying him. He left the field early; he and the mayor got into argument, that led Burai to storm off in a rage.
The mayor raised his cane at Burai and struck him. Burai held his tempter and stormed off. Burai decided to go back to the palace. While he was on the road, he was stopped by one of the woman from the town. She said three men where strange outfits arrived in the town and took the Mayor hostage saying there was no more piece.
Her pleas did nothing, but annoy him. She offered herself as a reward, but she wasn’t his type. Burai sighed, and told the woman that he would save the mayor and bring peace to the town. The reward he wanted was a thank you. She helped him onto her horse and galloped back to the town.
They arrived at the town; and in front of the mayor’s home. He gave her his trident. Burai told her that he would show everyone the way of peace. He stepped into the mayor’s house. The three men stood infront of him; with the mayor at their feet. Burai sat down, in front of them. The three yelled that they would kill him if he didn’t. Burai stared at them blankly and said do it.
The two men walked toward him; pulling out daggers from their waist bands. They held the daggers at his through. Burai shouted at them to finish it. The two trembled, honestly they never planned on killing anyone they just wanted to scare the town. The third guy grabbed one of the men’s daggers and pressed it against his neck. Asking if he had any last words. Burai smiled and said “Make it quick.”
The man cried out and dropped the dagger. “I can’t kill him, we never met to hurt anyone, and we lied about the rumors.” Burai got up and untied the mayor. “You see you worried all for naught. These three started the rumors about everything, The yellow turbans have been defeated and your town can enjoy peace..”
Burai left the house and began to head back to the palace. As he was leaving the town greeting him all thanking him for what he did. Through his eyes he did nothing. They had peace along.
