Personality: A very calm young women who keeps to herself and speaks only when it is necessary. However, despite her calm demeanor, beneath is a women when angered would not hesitate to rip off the head of even the most wildest beast. While she is not the most social person, she like to stick in groups and fight with others. She believes that there is much to gain when it comes to working with others. Having been born to a family of travelers, she has tasted the life of isolation and because of that likes to be around others; even if it means sitting off in a corner. Being one who travels by sea (a pirate of sorts) she is very patient and oddly enough well spoken. Her wisdom comes from experience and her intellect comes from seeing the many parts of Han. When it comes to battling she would much rather use her intellect in battle than just brute force. She wishes to meet someone in battle much like that. However, when it comes to men and women who are physically strong, she finds herself quite intrigued and somewhat attracted to that person.
Weapon: Tantō: A double edged dagger which comes in twos which is exactly 30 cms long. It’s handles are carved with intrinsic patterns as they stay strapped to Yu Lifen’s side.
Weapon Strengths: It’s length allows her to control the weapon well, good for parrying and blocking attacks from most weapons as it’s made of powerful metals. It can be used for both slashing and stabbing and is effective as a close ranged weapon in a sense that if she were to be disarmed in one arm, she would still be able to fight back with the twin. It’s fairly light weight allows for Yu Lifen to attack fast. Lifen aslso has it concealed as a fan. When wanting to attack someone without them knowing, she would keep it concealed as a fan and when close enough she would strike.
Weapon Weaknesses: It is extremely weak up against powerful weapons and heavy ones such as maces. Blocking could damage the weapon and parrying wouldn’t work. It is in these cases her weapon is extremely weak. When it comes to halberds, she could block, but with such a mid-range weapon it would be literally impossible to attack the opponent and she would be tired easily because of being unable to attack anyone from such a range.
Weapon: Rope Dart: Sharp and pointy dark attached to a very long rope. This long range weapon is always wrapped up and tucked away at her side making it look like an innocent accessory at her side.
Weapon Strengths: When battling against a midranged person, Lifen uses this weapon as a means to stab or grab hold of them. It’s dart is well pointed so when thrown at the enemy it can stab them and if aimed at a vital organ, it can kill her opponent. However, with those who are well trained, this weapon is used as a means to wrap around the enemy (mostly the neck) and either suffocate him/her or give Lifen the opportunity to drag them to her where she would slash and kill the enemy with her Tantō.
Weapon Weaknesses: Because it is just a rope with a dart, it can be easily hit away if the enemy is able to catch it. If her concentration is broken, she could aim badly and miss the target which would give the opponent the opportunity to
Armor: mostly simple leather padding as to keep her fast. She relies mostly on speed and less on defense. Ontop of her leather padding she would be wearing formfitting garments which reveals much. Her legs and arms are almost always bare with the exception of simple metal armguards. Sometimes, she would be wearing little to no armor and her clothing is almost always thin and form fitting so it doesn’t get in the way of her during battles.
History: Born to travelers, Lifen has never understood the meaning of stability. As a young child she has seen almost all of Han, never forgetting the people she met. At one point when she was very young her family was staying in a tiny village for an extended period of time. And old man there grew to be a close friend and even taught her how to use an assortment of weapons. The Tantō and rope dart being two she excelled in. One day while going to visit the old man, she had heard news that his dojo was attacked by bandits who stole all his money and gold. Angered, Lifen stormed after the men hearing that her friend was harmed. With the Tantō in hand she foolishly went up to the bandits and was badly hurt. Being only 12, she kept on foolishly getting up and eventually a young warrior showed up and scared the bandits off. Taking her to her family, Lifen was looked after and cared for but she never figured out the name of the warrior. Waking up days later she had heard that the old man hadn’t survived his injuries. Saddened she took his Tantō and rope dart and swore that she would find those bandits and kill them. The next morning her family set off again, Lifen found a note by her bed telling her the details of who the men were and where she would find them. From then Lifen would train everyday and on her 17th birthday she had mastered both weapons and left her family setting out on seeking revenge. Finding the bandits from all those years ago she slaughtered them mercilessly. Running off, she was chase by others who were friends of these bandits. Hiding away on a boat she lived off of little to no food on the boat until one man found her passed out. The men took care of her, of course for their own reasons, when she woke up the men tried to use her for their own pleasure. Fighting back she was able to break free of the men and hurt quite a few. The captain being impressed told all to never touch her in such a way and they should allow her to be one of them. Becoming a pirate was not the life she was used to, but within those two years she had even made a name for herself being the 'Sorceress of the Seas'. Stories were told of how she gave no mercy to those who crossed her path and that the last thing a person saw before she killed them was a magical flash coming from her weapons. Most stories were exaggerated, but she enjoyed them all the same and even asked people to tell her the stories. Of course she id her real identity to these people. When Lifen turned 19 she left the pirates wanting to fight the war. Unsure of who she would join, she set her sights on the closest leader to her… Sun Jian.
