When Nostalgia Sets in -Gan Ning-

It was like being home near the sea. Her hair blew out behind her, lips in a gentle smile. Her legs fully exposed to the bright sun, the pale and lucid skin gently shining in the light. Her rope dart wrapped up around her left leg. The tanto's disguised as two fans were by her side as she sat down on the warm grass.

The 'Sorceress of the Sea's' was relaxing, nothing could destroy this moment, especially with the lulling sounds of the sea that use to put her to sleep not long ago when she was a pirate herself. Her reputation did not reach the ears of anyone except for pirates like herself and the bandits she still had yet to slay. Of course with the exception of Sun Jian which was flattering especially now that she planned on joining his ranks.

Standing up, she took her weapons and walked towards one of the naval ships, she didn't dare sneak on, but admired it's beauty from afar. She could stay here for day's, but knew that her time here would be limited. There was a war that needed to be fought, and she needed to be a part of it. If only... the war would just end and she could build herself a life, perhaps even a family...

Yu Lifen shook her head, such an idea is impossible. With the reputation she had, men would either be disgusted by the fact that she had no noble blood, or repulsed by the idea of a women who slaughtered men for revenge. Still, she could dream and while she couldn't have that life, at least she could help bring upon a peace that would allow for others to have it instead of her.

[Kang Ren]

The boat was actually Gan Ning's boat. It was named Lu Long (Red Dragon.) It was his ship, one that was new, only a month old. He smiled and stepped off of the boat, his tatoos and bells on his body. He stepped off and saw a woman. He saw that she had weapons and he smiled, more violent women.

Gan Ning's crew began to disembark. Their expierences varied from new to veterans of the sea. One threw up, and Gan Ning laughed, "I knew you weren't alright." He ran his hand through his spiky hair and laughed again. It was good to be alive. He knew it was a good day. He was relaxed and he hoped everything would go well. He smiled, his eyes twinkled and he sighed, it was good to be back on the sea.

Her eyes was still on the ship and as she saw it move there was a twitch in her arm, a feeling that she needed to be on. Standing up, she picked up her concealed tanto's, they looked harmless, but it was the fake sense of security she loved. Running a hand over her tattoo, she knew very well that once you were a pirate, old habits died hard and she needed to get on.

Scaling the edge of the ship, she she jumped up and caught onto a slightly loose board against the edge of the boat. the ship was obviously well built as despite the loose board, beneath it was an extra layer to keep water from getting in. Climbing up, she jumped into the boat hiding behind nearby barrel. Peering from the side she looked on at who seemed to be their captain. It took her a while, but when she was finally able to get a good look at his face and the bells at his waist did she gasp loudly.

Men from all around looked at her hiding place and she knew there would be no point in hiding. Standing up, she slowly walked, the long train of her skirt behind her, some of the crewmen staring at her with wolfish eyes. She was used to it, if it was up to her, she'd cut their eyes out and force them to swallow it, but there was no point in being so cruel. "The feared pirate Gan Ning, at last we finally meet." she raised a brow and tilted her head in respect, she had heard many things about him before.

Gan Ning turned and saw a woman on his boat. He smiled lightly and chuckled, "If ya know who I am then why the hell are ya on my boat?" He chuckled and his men ran back onto the boat with their weapons drawn. Gan Ning shook his head, "Lower yer weapons. Come. Take a walk with me." He said guestering for her to follow him.

His eyes twinkled at little, he smiled. He laughed, he hoped this woman didn't want die. He thought, she apparently knew who he was, but he didn't know who she was. "Eh. What's your name?"

She didn't expect him to be any different, she heard the stories and yet she remained unafraid. "Who said I knew it was your boat." even if she did know, she would have still sneaked on. She loved the sea too much and it was so tempting to get on the boat.

As the men got offensive, she stood there, eying them all. If this was truly Gan Ning, then she wouldn't be able to deal with all these men plus him. She nodded her head and came to walk by him. She looked him over, he looked just the way many described him. Spikey haired, multiple tattoo's the bells. "I am Yu Lifen." it seemed the 'Menace of the Sea's' really did live up to his name.
