((I disaprove of the map, 1. its unknown where the passage is, it could be underground for all you know, i would have move it the the wall so it shows where you exit 2. Why have you chosen where my troops are? and wtf are the big black things? Steve, you gave me 1 troop loss, can you not do this for every person that josh and hiro assassinate unless its like 10 or 5 men, its an easier number to work with.)) Wen Chou watched as the men gathered at the main gate no one was going to get through there not even a small army. He was satisfied with the results that had been produced, it put a smile on his face. "Good Job guys!" He shouted to them raising his fist in the air as a type of salute. He brushed his hand through his hair wondering if the men had got through the secrete passage ok, if people where found there without permission they were killed. No one in the kingdom new about the passage only Yuan's personal army. A close general to Yuan was slain for entering that room, anyone found there who was not in the personal army was slain. By know the garrison should have linked up with Yan Liang who was out keeping order whilst shao was away. So far only one incident had occurred but everything seemed fine on that front. It looks like the army of Hiro was gathering outside of the main gate, maybe to help police or just to make sure noone gets in, Wen Chou was greatful for this kind act. He made his way to his own personal room, he thought he would go and stand out with the guards at the gate to prevent anyone for trying to get in, he could order death right there and then. Maybe it wasn't Xian lucky day, but he had walked straight into a trap by following the garrison to the secrete passage. The guardians of the pass were highly trained spearmen, 150 strong. They had been ordered to kill anyone who was not in Yuan Shao's personal army even including Wen Chou and Yan Liang. They listened to no excuses and killed on sight, why was Xian sneaking around the palace? The answer would never be known to the guardians for they did not give a chance for the enemy to speak, 150 spearmen moved in to kill Xian. Xian was a great warrior, apparently, however no man could hold of 150 men on their own. He was trapped, 150 spearmen behind him and 3000 men infront, Xian had sealed his own fate... (Sorry for shit post, can't really think of what to put.)

Map is invalid since Colby has provided me with a map. It sucks, don’t get me wrong. But neither of us really cares. You don’t need a map for this – the map is a castle. But yeah, here it is. Red: Yuan Shao. The YS indicates the Barracks his militia is. the dots represent moving troops. Pink Line: The hidden path. it's still hidden, but I needed to show it due to the ambush. Lone Orange Dot: hard to see but it'ss surrounded by red dots. this is the ambush site. Main gate refers to city gate. and the Palace gate is obviously the gap between the walls leading to the palace area. Mod Rulings** No casualties. ** The ambush has been mod approved. 150 spearmen swarm Zong Xian Liang. (We received the details of the ambush via a PM before any of you made posts this round. Colby and I have declared it as a successful ambush.) ** Zhen Ning’s post will be voided due to out of turn posting; his post is also invalid due to it being heavily based on OOC knowledge. He may join next round so long as it is after the attacking phase. WARNINGSince this rebellion has been an endless bout of petty arguing I am hereby declaring the following. Should either side make a large mistake regarding the rules or their actions, that cannot be overlooked as a simple mistake will be punished according to site regulations. Yuan Shao: Your troop count does not add up. According to what I received you should only have 6k or so troops, as you sent 1k or so troops with Yuan Shao. If this is indeed the case and you wrongly miscounted your troops than I will have to declare this as your final warning. All troops must be accurate. Addendum: all troops MUST be posted in the thread. I am declaring this as an ESSENTIAL rule for ALL battles. Tasks, NPC activity and various other things can sway gold or troop counts. Relying purely on the signature amounts is NOT ACCEPTABLE. Thanks. Your kind moderator Xiang.

(I received information from Yuan Shao himself how the men are stationed.)
He looked from outside the doors to the gate, he saw fifty archers stationed on top the gate walls and fifty royal guards. He had a plan and it was close to perfect. Liu Yan and another officer of Xian were outside with men ready for a fight, he turn to Xian to ask and make sure this was true, but only to see that he was now alone, he shrugged thinking Xian would be ok. And with the tactics he chose one hundred people should be easy to defeat with how everyone his positioned. The royal guard were a force to be reckon with, but how could they deal with a swift surprise attack? And how will their swords face off with the fast but crushing force of horses? But he had to wait for the right time. The enemy has yet to notice that Xian, Burai and himself were planning to revolt so the element of surprise was key to this tactic. He leaned against the wall of the doors and yawned a bit, pulling out a cloth to clean off the stains of his blade. Then his signal finally arrived his brother Burai from a distance, with his closed eyes a grin appeared. "Let's see how this turns out."
With his the signal arriving, his calvary circled around. With his archers positioning themselves on the roof top they wrapped old rag around the tip of the arrow heads and dip in oil which they took from the barrack. The oil was use to be heated and dumped onto the attacking force from the walls but in this case oil up the enemy. Hiroshi used this as a precaution if the arrows couldn't penetrate through the bulky armor of the mighty royal guard. and fired three flurries of arrows from their positions, their target, the archers on the gate wall and the royal guards. In other words 600 arrows fly down from the heavens, if one's eyes follow they would be blinded by the suns light. After the flurry of arrows the 100 moved to the back of the palace preparing for another fire attack.
Simultaneously after the oiled arrows came down upon the royal guards and archers. A faction of 100 calvary armed with spears and torches flanked the royal guards cutting as many as they could with their swift run. With the last twenty running by they dropped their torches lighting the fire. With their orders the calvary charged through and started to burn parts of the city to attract the attention away from the palace. Again as order The other faction of calvary did the same after the other faction rode out. They flanked the other side of the royal guard and charged through heading off to the other direction setting fire to parts of the other side of the city. Hiroshi smiled a bit as the carnage ensued. With a look of false surprise he ran down to the gate. "OPEN THE GATE!! LET THE SURVIVORS IN CASE OF ANOTHER ATTACK! I am a superior officer! Hurry and open the gate!" The idea of this strategy was to opened up the for Burai's army to get in with two separate and greatly distant parts from the palace of the city getting burn down the main force had no choice but to split and quell it, at least in his mind. He just hopes Xian and Burai will be ok.

(( I need to confirm something before I post. The "Hidden Passage" was said to be a way out of the Palace (and it's surrounding walls), and the only other exit then the Palace Gates. If that's right, then the Ambush is set inside the Palace Walls, and I'm technically on the outside, what's stopping me from just going into the city and hiding from the "ambush" part? ))

Yuan Shao is spot on. A post follows a 'chain' of events, each chain needs to be successful for it to work. Since you got ambushed half of your post was instantly made null n void. You are still inside the palace walls. I'm going to make a thread for battles, it seems a few people need some reassurances on what we can and cannot do. xD

Xian watched from roughly halfway down the passage as the Garrison troops exited the passage before moving forward himself. Instead of the silence he'd expected when he'd left, He could still hear the sound of men marching. Glancing behind him he cursed, There had to be atleast a hundred of Shao's bastards following him, and they all had their weapons out. Either they'd had orders to kill anyone who entered without proper permission, or they were onto him. Either way, it wasn't something He was going to stand around to ask them about. Throwing caution to the winds, He started to really move for the exit, knowing that if He could get outside and into the city He'd be fine. After all, it's not hard to hide in a city the size of Nan Pi from that little an amount of soldiers. He snarled as he looked back and saw them speeding up slightly as well, but He was using the passage's size against them, limiting their numbers into a rather small and long line of men.
He couldn't help it, He laughed as He exited the tunnel and kept going at a full sprint towards the nearest houses and, more importantly, the groups of civilians. He saw, as he ducked into the first alley He could find, the Garrison troops moving towards the Palace gates, and not waiting for him. Quickly moving forward, He moved into a large croud before ducking down another alley, all the time heading straight for his men. If he could reach them, He was safe. No force in this city could stand up to his men, unless the entire Garrison came down on them at once, nevermind a pitiful 150 men who could easily be disposed of and hidden. He slowed slightly after He'd gone threw several alleyways and moved deeper into the city, Looking behind him occassionally and slowly losing sight of the men who'd been following him. Even now He could still see a few of them, but the entire force wasn't on his heels anymore. Who knows, maybe he'd get to wet his blade on the paltry few who wuold reach him?

3000 Garrison 50 militia 270 Han Swordsmen 135 Han Halberdiers 1000 Han Spearmen 380 Han Cavalry 300 Han Archers 50 Royal Guards 1200 peasants
Ambush Captain
The 150 guardians of the pass would wait in the room where the pass was, waiting for uninvited guests to stumble upon their premature death. They were waiting, they spent their whole lives waiting, soon 3,000 men marched through. The men readied their weapons but they bore the symbol of Yuan Shao's army. The garrision was let through but soon a straggler came in, the men studied him, he was not apart of the garrision nor Yuan Shao's army. The men moved in behind him. The man jolted off down the hidden passage, the garrison unit would be out by know so the 150 chased him, hoping that the gate had been sealed so they could have him trapped and kill him. They hopes were made true when the door was closed shut and the rock was placed infront of it. The man was trapped, he had nowhere to go, the only thing he could do was fight. The man may be able to fight off a couple but not all, they men should kill him with this attack. They moved towards him and began to attack.
Garrison Leader
They garrison moved through the passage sealing it as they left. They placed a big rock infront of the door to blend the passage in with its surroundings. They began to move through the city when they noticed some men scaling some houses right in front of them. They were equipped with bow's and arrow's roughly 200 of them, the must be planning an attack. 500 men of the garrison left the man unit to go and attack the archer's. They were equipped with pikes and spears, they would stab at the men and try to pull them down. Some men tried to climb up aswell. The other 2500 men proceeded to the front of the gate, but soon they were attacked by the archers on the roof and 200 cavalry, still the odds were in their favour. They attacked the charging cavalry some of the garrison were killed by archer fire but also some cavalry were killed as well.
Wen Chou
Chou was at the gate he watched as the garrison moved into the city, he noticed a unit split away from the main force, he watched to see where they were going. He could see they were attacking someone, he then saw the archers on the roof. "We're being attacked! Sound the gong, Archers get up here on the wall and fire at them!" He couldn't get a good view of the archers uniform but suddenly cavalry began to charge the garrison, they were Hiro's troops that means Burai and Xian had also betrayed them. He heard a voice behind him, the man had walked up to the gate demanding that the gates be open, he even said he was their superior officer, maybe he hadn't notice that Wen Chou was standing there. The Royal Guards were split now, some in front and some behind, they didn't know it yet but it was Hiro's troops that were attacking. Wen Chou turned around along with some of the archers. "Do you know who i am!?" He signalled for the guards to surround him. "I am Wen Chou, i can see that its your men attacking me, do you take me for a fool! Kill him!" The archers began to fire at Hiro and the royal guards began to attack him aswell.
Meanwhile the gong had been sounded alerting the rest of the town to the attack. The guards at the main gate have closed it.

End of Round
Moderation post will be up within a few hours. All participants are to review the battle changes made in the rule section of this RPG. Notice: This battle will now follow the phase ruling.
Attacking Phase: 48 Hours. Defending Phase: 24 Hours.
No posting order is up. All attackers have 48 hours to post (in whatever order). There is no late submission and no excuses. Failure to post within the 48 time frame will result in you missing the round.
Losses and Rulings
Rulings.
Zong Xian Liang: Trapped and in a dire situation. You have only a few possible options left, and most of them end with you dead. You have 1 round to try and get yourself out of this predicament. But I’ll be honest; it will most likely be your last round alive. There is nothing you can really do, but the admin decided to give you an extra round to see if you can turn this around. But, get ready to say bye – realistically you’re dead.
Hiro: You’re now in a bad situation, but you may yet live if you flee or hide. It must have escaped you when Yuan Shao posted at the gate in the previous round, so the only issue with your post is at the very end of it. You have 1 round to try and get yourself to freedom, but he has attacked you with arrows so….good luck.
Failure for both participants to accept their fate will result in an auto-kill the following round. PM me if you want to discuss anything. This ruling was decided after reviewing all posts and was made in joint effort by more than a single mod.
Losses
Yuan Shao – Due to lack of wording, Hiro’s plan will be validated since you never stated whether the royal guard were on the inside or outside of the palace gates.
50 royal guard – oiled and fried. 40 archers – killed by arrow fire.
Zong Xian Liang – no losses, though you are about to die.
Hiro
15 light cavalry – killed by the royal guard.
Next round Information.
The Garrison arrives at the palace gates. 500 troops from the garrison go to attack the archers on the rooftops. Palace gates remain sealed. Hiro is discovered. Shigure Burai is outside of the city.
Remaining Troops.
Yuan Shao. 3000 Garrison 50 militia 270 Han Swordsmen 134 Han Halberdiers 1000 Han Spearmen 380 Han Cavalry 260 Han Archers 1200 peasants
Hiro. 200 Archers 185 L Calvary 200 Swordsmen
Zong Xian Liang. 200 Archers 345 Light Cavalry 450 Swordsmen 350 Spearmen 1,150 Volunteers
Shigure Burai. 300 Archers 300 Spearman

Xian barely managed to skid to a stop before He hit the damn door. Looking back he could see he didn't have too much room, So he kicked the door, trying to get it open. When that failed, He turned and drew his blade. He could only hope that Yan or Haesten survived long enough to know he died, and to give his final order to the men. Shao would remember the day Zong Xian Liang died. As He moved towards the men who were supposed to kill him, His psychotic grin spread across his face again. "Come. Dance with the Devil, See how many of you survive!" With that, It had begun. He pushed himself forward, His blade up and lunging into the first man's throat before taking a step back as he ripped it out. He glanced around quickly, trying to find anything He could use to kill these fools for their impertinence, and all He could find were support columns for the passage....That'd work, if He could manage it.
Grinning at the impertinence of these common soldiers in thinking they'd kill him, He did the one thing no one would expect. He start hacking at the two support posts on this side of the army, and when they got roughly halfway cut, He kicked them, breaking them one after the other and He smiled as He rushed forward, the passage shaking as He collapsed it around him. "Come...Join The Devil in Hell!" He started to slash at the men with abaddon, Knowing this was his end either way, but He'd be damned if He didn't take these fools with him. Falling rock and blood littered the floor as He rushed into the group of men, taking cuts and stab wounds from spears as He ignored the pain and prepared himself for death.

Hiroshi's men mad their way down the path as they were instructed to by the messenger. After killing the few guards of the so-called secret path. They continued through taking some time to make to the arrangement area to sneak in the palace for a quick take over. "As Master Hiroshi instructed men!" The leader shouted, his men roared with excited men, ready for a fight. But hearing support posts falling, the men halted but the leader was able to witness the strength of Xian, the devil of the north. "Such great strength and wit! A clear match of Master Hiroshi and Master Burai." He said with a whimper of some fear. "I am glad he is our side..." The leader witnessed Xian fight admirably and noticed something there was an ambush set up and it was already sprung. He wondered what Hiroshi or Burai would do, the leader smirk. But before he could do anything the columns collapsed blocking the way into the palace, bewildered the leader stares blankly, then shakes his head and tightened his fists. He turned and led the men out of the passage way and back outside the palace gates, they saw the mayhem outside and didn't know what to do as of yet. So to stay safe they moved to the houses and inns until where they can be unseen but still see what is going on. All they can do is wait until it was time to strike.
A classic ambush to say the least, but his idea was an ambush on an ambush with the lines of a three way front attack. And in the leader's men there was little spears can do against sword in extreme close hand to hand combat. That was his plan that he wasn't able to execute. Meanwhile archers began to position themselves on the sides of the palace, readying for the fail plan burn down the palace taking the head of the army and whoever else in the palace with it. They took shelter in the safety of the of the houses and other things to keep form getting hit and fired in return. The light calvary roared with victory as the royal guard fell and died. Again using the speed of their horses moving to the side of the palace. Hiroshi watch as they, looked back in front of him a horde of men began to charge at him. He gave out a light sigh, running off to his calvary avoiding the first flurry of arrows. He kills a nearby guard and then uses the body as a shield from another flurry. He runs into the stable looking around what he could use. "This is troublesome...." As a man charged at him with a yell. "Hey! Let's be reason able." The man thrusts his spear at him, Hiroshi parries the spear and drive the hook into the man's neck. "Guess not....But thanks for the help." Then idea struck, he looked to the body then at his signature robes, the robes that everyone knows that he wears and three sets of rope. "Need your help again...Burai will kill me if he finds out.." Taking no time he switched their outfits so he could look like the soldier with the helmet on and covering his face, the ties the dead soldier on one of the faster Yuan horses, and uses the sword and the hilt under the robes to keep the body up right. He then hit the horse to go and the horse rush out and most soldiers who were looking into the stable fell over with sudden fright. "He's getting away!" He pointed to the dead body on the horse, with quick reaction the men around the area moved quickly and made chase.
As the men gave chase he grabbed the two sets of ropes and hooks then placed it around his arm and ran to the a stairway wrapping it into the hole of the hooks tightly. Reach the top he moved to the edge quickly and hooked them into the wall and drops the rope. One of the archer notices what he was doing and moves closer to him. "Hey you?! What are you doing!?" He looks back at the man awkwardly. "Uh..." Then a loud sound of something collapse echoed. "What was that?" The archer cried out. Taking this to his advantage, he kicks the man over the wall, he hits the ground but doesn't die. "Ok....If I fall I won't die...I'll just break something....Great..." He moves down the rope and makes his escape, or so he thought for a second as makes 3/4's of the way down another archer finds him out. "Oh....Shi--" The archer cuts the rope and he falls, luckily for him there was soft fabric in the armor and the man who got kicked down took most of the fall, leaving him nothing more than a little winded and ankle sore. "Parkour....Haha..." He stands up slowly and for a second limps and moves into the cover of the houses. His light calvary long has pass and began throwing more torches into the palace and whatever they could grab their hands on to help build the fire. Now the archers fully positioned let loose on the garrison and other archers. While Hiroshi hid for the moment keeping from the enemies sight. He takes off the armor and puts on some rags, cleaning off the blood on his blades, waiting to signal full attack when his brother arrives. He waits at a nearby inn, covering his blades with cloths and getting himself drink. All he could do now was watch as his archers laid waste of the remaining archers and have the high ground against the spear men and pike men.

End of Attacking Phase. Initiation of Defending Phase.
Round closes at 17:48pm GMT on the 25th of August.
Burai has failed to post for two rounds. He has been kicked from the attacking phase order until I recieve a PM explaining why he cannot find a few minuets to post here. If Hiro and Josh would like to 'stop' then I will auto-resolve the rest of the fight. Doing this option will keep Hiro alive.

Results of the Auto-resolve
Since both Hiro and ZXL have forfitted, and Burai was removed from the attacking phase for continued inactivity within the battle. The Rebellion has officially ended on the condition that Hiro flee's safely from the city.
All attacking rebels are to lose 25% of their troops. They may decide which troops to have killed. All defending players are to lose 10% of their troops. They may decide which troops to have killed.
The rebellion has ended in failure and word of Wen Chosu bravado against the rebels have gone far and wide. During the rebellion, the great Zong Xian Liang was slain - and Hiro left form a near death experience. Shigure Burai failed to act on the rebellion, reason is unknown.
rewards
Since this was a total fuck up from day one I'm going to be tight on rewards.
ZXL: Nothing. You died.
Hiro: 150 gold. +10 fame.
Yuan Shao: 250 gold. +25 fame.
Shigure Burai: 50 gold. +5 fame.
