Quest: Feel the power Type: Normal Mod: yes Difficulty: Hard Description: There has been a revolt, and what bad timing it has been too, now that the Bandits have joined in, as followers of the way of peace decide to rebel and the Bandits help them as they attack one of your strongholds. Quickly get down there, persuade the folowers to join, then rid the world of these backstabbing bandits Burai just got done from a long day of patrolling; one regular duties at the newly acquired stronghold. He slowly walked to the quarters he was staying in. Burai sluggishly walked over to his bed and flopped in it. Shrugging off the top half of his jacket and tossing it carelessly onto a chair. He laid down in his bed relaxing for a moment. He sluggishly sat up and moved his feet to the side of the bed. Once they were firmly planted on the ground. He walked to his cabinet, grabbed himself a sake bottle, and poured himself a cup. Burai took a deep breath of relaxation and enjoyed his drink, while he looked outside.
He placed the bottle in the cabinet. Suddenly his mind drifted in and out of thought, his fingers still curled around the small cup of sake. His mind and body were at peace, while other matters loomed just beyond his door...
"Is it time?" one of the men whispered quietly to the other as they stood infront of the Burai’s door. "I don’t know, but that guy should be sleepin’" He grumbled, as he reached in his band and grabbed his dagger. "Quiet! Once you kill this fool, I’ll torch the place. That will inform everyone to begin the attack" He took out an bow and arrow. “We only got one shot at this so don’t screw up!”
The man with the dagger, quickly and quietly pried open the door to Burai’s quarters. He took a glance back at his partner and nodded. He slowly let himself in; he eased thru the front door and stood for a moment adjusting their eyes to the dim room. The man Burai staring out of the window. He stepped lightly through the room hoping to kill Burai without much of a struggle.
As Burai was looking out the window, he could see shadowy figures moving toward other encampments. “What is this? Perhaps I had too much to drink?” He said lifting the cup to hid eye. At the bottom of the sake there was an odd image, a shimmering light. “Hmm?” Burai tilted his head to the right slightly to see a man slowly approaching him. He wasn’t one of the soldiers, or anyone who he recognized for that matter. Burai finished the remains of the sake. He quickly turned around and threw the cup at the intruder’s face.
“Argh!” Burai swiftly slid across the floor and picked up his trident and threw it forward at the man, as he was momentarily dazed. The trident crashed into the man’s chest, sending him flying out of the door way.
The bandit outside lit his arrow, as he heard the disturbance. Suddenly his friend came flying out of the doorway. “What!?!” Seeing Burai slowly walking forward to receive his weapon. “DIE!” Burai looked up to see another bandit with an arrow notched back. “Shi-“ He grabbed the chain to his weapon, and dove out of the way. The arrow zipped passed him and into the quarters; after a few moments it went up ablaze.
Burai yanked the chain further to summon it back to him. The bandit panicked, he grabbed his sword; his hands trembling as he held it. Burai dashed for throwing his trident violently. The band lunged forward as saw Burai sprint forward. He stopped in his tracks as he saw him throw his trident forward. “What!?” What kind of person would throw their weapon? The trident contact with the bandit’s neck; snapping it backward.
Burai casually walked up to his weapon, “Looks like tonight is going to be interesting after all.” He looked around to see the stronghold in such a panic. Flames began to sprout like weeds.

(came up with a random npc to be the rebel leader)
There was a figure lurking on the outskirts of the strongold. The rebel leader stood over a corpse; his blade was impaled in the corpse’s back. The rebel leader looked like a young volumptuous woman. “These fools dare defy me? I always get what I want” the bandit leader took out her blade and flicked her wrist downward to remove the blood. Another bandit ran up to her side and knelt down. “Mistress Kitsune!!!” She looked down at her subject and frowned. The bandit cowered, lowering himself as much as he could. “The army seems to be putting up quite. Some of our men had run into trouble.”
Kitsune took a step back; she was displeased with the news. A vein sprouted from her forehead. “Surrounded by insolent fools" She walked over to the rebel and grabbed his hair tightly; she laced her fingers through his scalp to get a good grip, pulling the man’s head back. “Listening to me kill whoever stands in our way, you don’t want to see me angry.”
Kitsune let go of his hair and kicked him in the ribs. “Now get up and get to work.” She watched the man stagger to his feet, and limped off. She flicked her hair to the side, and puckered her lips. Who could be strong enough to defeat the rebels?
((back at camp))
A bandit approached Burai from behind; he pointed his spear at him. “Join the rebellion or surrender.” This peaked Burai curiousty. These people where rebelling against the han? For what purpose do these men have to defy the Han? “Oy..why are you rebelling?” The rebel looked at Burai and lowered his weapon, as he came up with answer.
Burai took this time to throw the end of the chain into the man’s stomach. The rebel fell down to one knee clinching his stomach. He looked up at Burai, who was casually walking over to him. The Rebel didn’t have the strength to attack him. He had fallen prey to Burai’s trick.
Burai grabbed the rebel by his collar and lifted him off the ground; he held him with his left hand while his right held on to his weapon. “Tell me about your plans, and I may allow you to keep your life.” The rebel spat in his face “I won’t tell-“ Burai jerked the man to the ground. Burai stared at the rebel’s leg, “that will cost you one leg…” Burai brought the head of the trident crushing down on the man’s knee cap.
The rebel’s scream echoed throughout the encampment. He rolled over to his side while gripping his leg. Burai towered over the man staring at the other leg. “I wonder how much pain will you endure before you talk?” The rebel looked back at Burai with fear in his eyes. “I-I don’t know! There’s a woman, she order a group of bandits to attack the stronghold. The a lot of the soldiers saw this as an chance to overthrow the han, and rebelled.” Burai bounced the trident on his shoulder. “Such fools, do you think rebelling against small base will get you anywhere? You're a much of mindless drones working for the queen bee...is that it?”
The rebel looked at Burai, “We want our own freedom!” Burai stared down at the man. “Tch, if these fools took that from you then deserved to be caged like animals!” Burai knelt down, putting the trident down. He grabbed the man’s legs. “This will hurt..” He placed his hands on to separate sides of his legs. Burai suddenly jerked his hands and popped the hands knee back into place. “You won’t be able to walk for awhile. You should wait till someone finds you..I will go see if I can give you rebels a true purpose..”

Word began to spread like wild fire throughout the camp; about one man that stood up against the rebels and the bandits. The news eventually reached the ears of Kitsune. She wasn’t pleased to hear such blasphemy. “One man? You’re telling me you fools can’t stop one man, Worthless!” She said, kicking a rebel in the face. The rebel fell backward; a loud thud echoed, as his head smack against a rock.
A few rebels scurried to the man’s aid. “Y-You B-“ Her eyes glared at the man who was knelling beside the fool she had kicked. “What was that?” Kitsune reached for her sword that was attached to her waist. She slowly laced her hands around the sword and gently pulled it out of the sheath. The man slowly stood to his feet and grabbed his spear.
Kitsune brought her free hand to her lips and giggle. She took a few steps forward. “A man with a backbone…” She said in a seductive voice. “How quaint..” she flashed the man with an enticing smile. The rebel lowered his spear; seeing as how she began to flirt with him. “There's nothing.. I hate more!” She quickly drove the sword in the man’s lower abdomen. “Than a man with arrogance.” She twisted the blade sideways.
She pulled out her blade and kicked the body to the floor. “Is there anyone else who wants to be a hero!?” A bandit run up to Kitsune bowing his head and groveling at her feet. “Mistress we have captured the remaining resistance, and the leader of the army…He is being held at the main camp” Kitsune smiled, ” Everyone move out, I am about to say hello to the commander.”

Burai walked away from the rebel and began to search for more rebels. After what seemed to be an eternity of searching; Burai walked around aimlessly until he encountered a group of three men. They seemed to be having a discussing about something. Burai decided he would watch from afar. He crossed his arms and placed them in front of his chest
The conversion began to get lively as a man began to shout and make odd motions with his hands. Suddenly another man joined in on the yelling; both men bore down upon the third. They all began to trade insult with each other. The two men seemed to be fed up with the third. They both drew their weapons, and impaled the unsuspecting man. “!?!?!?” Burai ran forward blindly; gripping his trident firmly preparing to aid the man.
One of the two men saw Burai. He alerted his comrade, by pointing at him. Two two took a step back, and fled leaving their weapons behind; in the body of the man, who the impaled. Burai didn’t pursue them; he stopped at the head of the body and examined it. It was one of the generals of the camp. The body twitched, and the general opened his eyes gasping for air. He saw Burai and grinned. “Here…to finish me...eh? Cowards”
Burai placed his butt end of the trident on the ground and looked up into the night sky. “If I was, you wouldn’t be asking questions…” The general coughed, he looked over at Burai and examined him. “You’re not one of my men, or one of these bandits…You must be the mercenary.” Burai sighed, “Don’t waste your final moments stating the obvious.” The general laughed he found Burai to be an odd fellow. His words were cold, yet they held a bit of compassion in them. “Y-you, must find the commander...They took over...camp...holding..him..host-“ Burai lifted his trident and spun it around so that the head of the spear was facing the general’s neck. “I will go, but I’m going to kill the commander and the bandits. I will force the rebel under my command..” As he finished talking he drove the trident downward in the man’s throat.
Burai lifted his trident and began to walk off; he was heading toward the commanders private quarters. The commander had his own separate section in the camp, where he and his personal army stayed. As he walked through the encampment; his eyes fell upon random disfigured corpses, burning tents and many other horrific sights.
The carnage brought a smile to his face. “Was this the work of the bandits, or the desperation of the rebels?” Burai’s train of thought was broking by a man, who managed to grab a hold of his pant leg. The man pleaded Burai to help him. Burai kicked his leg forward, yanking free from the man’s grip. “I am sorry, I wasted, much time dealing, I must deal with the commander and the one who is leading the bandits...One I deal with them I will send someone to help you." He lied, he had no intention on helping him once he got what he wanted. The wounded man collapsed, and gave into his despair. Burai ignored his disposition, he decided to move on quickly; to keep his promise and to avoid anyone more wounded men.
Burai entered the commander’s camp, and was greeted by 6 bandits. Burai pointed his trident at the bandits, who stood before him. “Who wants to die first!?” Not of the bandits budged. Soon a large group of men surrounded Burai. Seeing how this fight wasn’t in his favor he lowered his weapon. A rebel stepped out of the crowd and spoke. “You’re the one the injured rebel told us about, the warrior beating on the rebels and bandits! The mistress would like a word with you.”
Burai grinned, “Finally a woman with taste, lead the way..” Burai followed the rebel into the commander’s quarters. Once they were inside Burai could see a man with a naked man with a sword in his throat. “What happened to him?” The rebel began to tremble with fear. “The Mistress killed him…” As they ventured further in the quarters a woman in odd attired appeared sipping on a cup.
The woman brought the cup down from her lips and tossed the cup behind her. She slowly walked up to the rebel. “Is this him?” The rebel dropped to his knees. “Yes mistress!” Burai chuckled at the sight, so this bossy tramp was the rebel leader. Burai sat down on the rebel using his back like a stool. “Oy, Mistress, I want you to leave.” Kitsune laughed at the gesture. Another man with backbone stared before her. She bent over slight so that her chest dropped; she exposed her to Burai.
Burai stared hard at her cleavage, “So soft..and subtle..” This disgusted Kitsune, all men were the same, and this one was so easily swayed. “Oh, do you still want me to leave?” She said in an alluring voice. Burai leaned back to look at her face. “I think it would be breast. Just take your bandits and go, I take care of the rest”
itsune slowly stood up tall and placed her foot on Burai’s shoulder. “I have another idea..” She slowly reached behind and reached for one of her hidden dagger. Burai looked at her leg and examined her slightly. “I think I know what you have in mine, and I accept!” She looked down at Burai; she slowly grasped the hilt of the and slowly pulled it out.
She smiled at Burai. “Then die!” She quickly raised her hand, and flipped the hilt; the blade of the dagger was pointed downward. She drove her had down violently. Burai noticed the blade a second too late. He jerked his body to the right, as he did his best to avoid the underhanded attack. The dagger was driven into his left shoulder.
Burai pushed her away and staggered to his feet, pulling out the blade as he stepped back. “Mistress!” The rebel stood up and readied himself to attack Burai. Burai threw the bloodied dagger at the man’s feet. “Stay where you are! You fools follow this succubus? She will not lead you to your freedom..She only led you to your deaths” The rebel stood still and looked at Kitsune.
“Slaves kill him!” Burai quickly ran outside and found himself surrounded once more; by both rebels and bandits alike. “Since when is the army full of cowards? I don’t know each of your pasts, but I will show you your future if you charge me.” A bandit ignored his words, and blindly charged forward swinging hi blade downward.
Burai blocked his attack; He held his trident horizontally, the blade made contact near the end of the spear. “Your life is forfeit..” Burai kicked the man in the stomach; the man fell to his knees and gasped for air. Burai then hooked the head of the trident around the man’s neck. “….” Burai jerked the trident back, removing the bandit’s head. He quickly knelt down and grabbed the head of the bandit, lifting it into the air and laughed.
Blood was everywhere; it continued to leak from the neck, where the head had been severed. “If you want power…I can show you the way. I can teach you how to put fear into the hearts of many, as I just instilled upon each of you…If you refuse..” Burai tossed the head into the crowd. All the men in that area scattered away from the head. “I don’t have time for pitiful men, who follow a tramp.”
The men that surrounded Burai began to talk to one another. They seemed to recognize his prowess as a warrior but Kitsune placed fear into their hearts. “What a lovely speech..” Kitsune came out of the quarters with the rebel would lead Burai inside; he was beaten up pretty badly. “Perhaps you would like to see what I do to men who defy me." She tossed the rebel to the dirt, he was missing an eye, and a few fingers. “I also took his most prized possession, one that each man uses to dominate a woman..”
Burai turned to face her, as he stared at her she pointed at his crotch. “I’m going to do the same to you..I’ll make you beg for death.” She leapt forward, as his feet touched the ground she darted toward Burai. He was in shock; the thought of losing his manhood scared him. He had to protect that at all cost. Burai watched her as she advanced toward him. He had a pervy grin on his face. His eyes followed his breast; tracing the movements of her breasts as they bounced.
She took advantage of this and attacked him while he was unguarded; she spun around and performed a round house kick that landed in his midsection. Burai was un prepared for the kick; the force knocked him back ways. The rebels held him up and pushed him back on his feet. Burai stared at the woman; he looked at her with unsettling eyes. “…I..Hate fighting woman..Why don't we have a drink?”
She reached in her shirt; in between her cleavage, and pulled out a dagger and then she unsheathed her sword. Burai covered his nose; those around him chuckled and called him a pervert. Burai’s cheeks flushed, but he ignored their accusations. “Such an odd place for a dagger..”
The woman charged forward at Burai. Thrusting her sword forward; she swayed her body to the side, so she could have more reach on her and. She arched her other arm, reversing the grip on the hilt. Burai brought his trident forth, gripping it with both hands; the trident stood tall, as Burai held it vertically.
He arched his arms, and slide is feet apart; he pushed the shaft of the weapon against hers. He forced the trident to lean forward, as the weight bore down on the sword Kitsune lost her balance and stumble. As she took her first step, Burai slide behind her. Bringing his foot forward, jabbing it into the back of her knee. A sudden pain jolted from her right leg, which brought her down to one knee.
Once she was grounded the head of Burai’s trident was around her neck. Burai put his foot against her back, while he pulled back on the trident. He stopped suddenly and looked down on the woman. “How about that drink?” Kitsune let go of her weapons and place his hands on the dirt. “I rather di-“
Burai yanked back on the trident, beheading her. “Such a waste..” He picked up her head and held it up for everyone to see. “Anyone object to my rule?” Burai dropped Kitsune head. The men surrounded him; bandits cheered him on accepting him as the boss. While other bowed n knelt before him. “I will give you the strength to capture you own freedom. We will need to make haste…touch everything to the ground. We will make it seemed like there was a raid and the camp was overrun.” The rebels and bandits rallied under the command of Burai and began to do as instructed.

The sun was climbing through the morning sky, revealing all the destruction; Burai and his follower left the camp in flames that night and began to journey alongside the country road. Burai was pleased with how things came about.
