The Plot

The sphere of blinding light called the Moon hung in the night sky. Stars surrounded the majestic object and made the sky a magnificent sight. A woman dressed in a black robe walked the streets of a city wearing a hood which covered her face. This city was said to be run by a corrupt governor. The woman pulled the hood from her face to get a clear view of the house she was told to break into and put it back over her face. At the entrance was two guards armed with bows and a sword. Killing them would stir up a bit of a commotion. The woman sifted through her pocket for some money and headed for a bar very close by.

She entered the tavern and saw many female waiters wearing small skirts half-way down to the knees. “Perfect...” She whispered to herself as she found a seat. A woman approached her and asked her what she wanted to drink, but she didn’t answer. Instead she introduced herself. “I’m SunShangXiang and I’ve heard a few things about your governor. Can you point me in the direction of the owner here please?” She asked. The woman’s eyes opened in a relieved manner. She had been ecstatic that someone would finally find out the truth. If someone with malicious plans governed this village, he could harm the villagers. “Umm…. He’s in the back room My Lady. “The woman said before bowing in respect. Shangxiang rolled her eyes. She hated being bowed before; it made her feel arrogant because she thought of herself as one of the people.

She followed the woman to the door and knocked first. A man’s voice peered through the slits in the doorway and allowed entry. The woman opened the door and took a step inside. “Boss this woman wants to help us with the governor.” She said quiet enough for no one to hear. The bar was filled with different voices, too many to tune into one particular voice in the back. The waiter then walked out of the room and went back to work. Shangxiang took her entrance and felt chills in her spine. It was very cold in this room compared to the main room. She saw a man sitting at a desk sifting through paperwork. He motioned his hand towards the chair in front of the desk. " Please sit down.” Shangxiang did as the man offered. “So you’re the one that thinks you can spy on our beloved governor for us? He’s not like any other. “He stated. Shangxiang pulled the hood back and revealed her amber brown eyes. The man’s expression spoke for itself. “ Surprised that a woman is going to look after your governor? Especially one of royalty?” She said. She swiped her hair to the side. The man sat there in awe of her appearance. Shangxiang felt uncomfortable when people stare at her, which was another reason she hated being considered a princess. “I advise you to start talking or I might reconsider my choice to help you.” She warned while glaring at him. The man snapped out of it and apologized. “I’m terribly sorry but it’s surprising what kind of people you get.” He said before a smirk appeared on his face.” So what do you propose we do about this?” The man wondered. Shangxiang had already had a plan for the guards’ right when she walked inside.

“I had heard that the governor was looking for a housekeeper as of late and no one has dared taken the job. I shall take the job and infiltrate the house tonight. I shall observe the behavior of the guards and learn every inch of the layout.” She planned. The man looked at her like she was crazy. “This governor likes girls with your…..figure.” He advised. Shangxiang giggled. “I’m flattered, but that plays right into my trap. The only thing you can do right now is keep your tavern running as normal. Tomorrow close this establishment down and you may open it back up once I’m finished. Have all your employees come back here in their work outfits. Have them lure the guards away from the house.” She ordered. She looked out the window and saw that the sun was beginning to arrive.” Now if you will excuse me I have to find a housekeepers’ outfit and go to work. Make sure you have at least 10 women here. If not hire a few villagers.” She said. The man nodded in acknowledgement. Shangxiang walked out of the tavern and looked for a disguise.

The Entry

Shangxiang woke up from a few hours sleep inside of the tavern. It was a tavern on one floor and an Inn on the second floor. She stretched all the tightened muscles in her body and cracked her knuckles. Today was the day Shangxiang would decide the fate of this suspicious governor. She grabbed the housekeepers outfit out of the closet and put it on over her fighting gear. The Disguise was loose enough for her to hide a chakram and her bow. This outfit was too revealing for Shangxiang’s taste, but she would do everything she could to help people in dire need. Her outfit was a regular housekeeper or maid rather, kind of dress. A dark blue dress and a skirt with white cloth with clean designs cut out of it. The one thing, apart from the skirt, was the fishnets Shangxiang was not proud to put on.

Stepping outside the doors of the tavern, the sun blinded her sight for a moment as she shielded her eyes. She saw many men staring her up and down. She rolled her eyes and kept walking. “This works too well.” She whispered under her breath. She would be dealing with all the guards throughout the Governor’s house. She gradually worked her way through the crowds of people in the city. She saw the tavern had been closed like she had advised. She gazed at the structure that housed her mark. The tigress in her wanted to cause this man the pain he had caused the villagers. She had heard that he would take young woman into his house and they would come back crying and bleeding. Some never made it out. She knew this man was guilty of committing crimes so his fate is already sealed in death’s signature. “Screw infiltrating and finding evidence this bastard deserved to be tortured until he begged for death.” This disguise was going to be a way to get in so she wouldn’t have to face all of his guards at once.

She stepped onto the ground level of the house and gazed up. This house was 4 stories high with terraces on each level, a tradition style Chinese building to say the least. There was a Chinese Symbol inscribed in blue on the wide open area before the doors of the house, which read the family name. “Wei”. “Typical…” She said. She walked up to the guards standing at the entrance and stopped about 5 feet from the entrance to this castle. She rolled her eyes as the guards too admired her outfit. She snapped her fingers behind her back and the two men startle back into their positions. “So you must be a woman eager to be the housekeeper here huh? The first to say the least.” The guard chuckled. Shangxiang nodded and that guards let her through. “ Be sure you meet the owner of the house so he doesn’t call you an intruder.” The man advised. A giggle slipped through her lips. “ Thank You mister.” She said in a young high-pitched voice. She learned how to mimic Xiao Qiao’s voice perfectly while she, Zhou Yu, Sun Ce, and Da Qiao, hung out together through her father’s land. Shangxiang preceded up the stairs to the fourth floor of the house. It was a well-decorated house with many family heirlooms. Pictures of this man’s ancestors hung along the walls of the stairway. She finally reached the designated floor the Governor’s bedroom was in after gazing through the rooms of each floor. There were at least 2 guards on each floor all geared and armed with swords. “Those men should be fun to play with later.” She said whispered to herself.

Some voices of a man chuckling and girls giggling rang through her ears. She looked towards the door to the source of the noises and a man opened the door and looked at Shangxiang. “Look what we have here, a new playmate huh?” The man said. He was just like any old “hungry” geezer. He was disgusting to look at and his voice was one of an arrogant ruler. She looked at him and giggled in that same high-pitched voice. “Far from it mister. I’m your new housekeeper. Xi Kai at your service My Lord.” She said while faking a grin on her face. She looked into the open doorway and saw 3 girls with tears down their faces. They were only around 13 years old. Shangxiang’s heart bunched up in her chest. Such innocent girls such as these used for entertainment. “Well that just wont do!” Shangxiang thought to herself. Still trying to keep herself from crying Shangxiang stood up straight. “So where is your maid’s closet My Lord? I shall get started cleaning up before dinner and the sun is setting as we speak.” She asked. The man held up his hand and put out his finger. “On the first floor my lovely little lady.” The man said while smiling. Shangxiang smiled back and turned around. She thought to herself that she will strike fear into this house tonight right before dinner.

Judgement's Scourge


Shangxiang went throughout the house dusting and cleaning like a normal housekeeper would do. This was not something she would think she would ever be doing. She usually had her own maids and housekeepers, but hers were personalized. She dressed her maids and housekeepers in armor and trained them herself. In case of war they would act as her bodyguards. In the past she had offered her father to train even the townspeople to fight, but as a father said no.

She looked out a window in the second floor and saw that the sun was setting. The Sky was a nice crimson color with an orange tint. She stepped onto a terrace and looked below to the gate. The sights of the bodyguards were nowhere to be found. “Good.” She whispered to herself. The tavern owner did his job and lured the guards away. She scanned the room and nobody was in sight. She went up n down the stairs n found not a single soul around, aside from the giggles….and screams coming from the bedroom on the top floor. “Hmm….maybe it worked too well…” She thought. She quickly removed the maid’s outfit from her body and tight clothes were revealed.

She moved up the stairs and her eyes were set on the bedroom door. She took a deep breath in and walked a few feet towards the door. She saw the handle wriggle around and the door crept open slowly. Shangxiang hid behind a wall that led to a hallway. She gripped her chakram in her hands and peeked around the corner. A guard came out of the room with his helmet cradled in his arm. He turned to his left and started to look out the window. Shangxiang hung her chakram around her should and wielded her bow and arrow in her hands. She placed the tail on the string and pulled it back. The tension made a noise loud enough for the guard to hear. He turned his head around towards her and she winked at him. “Bu-Bye.” She said as she let go of the string. The arrow flew across the room and truck the man right between the eyes. He fell to the floor as blood spewed out of his forehead. Shangxiang now set her sights on the bedroom. She put her bow on a strap that was on her back. The chakram fell down her arm and she caught it in her hands.

She approached the door and opened it the rest of the way. She saw the man about to rip off a young girl’s clothing. Her heart filled with malice as the man’s eye caught onto her sight. Shangxiang pointed towards the door and looked at the girls. “Go….” She ordered and the women did as she said. “ What the hell do you thing your doing you pathetic…..” He stopped as he felt liquid rushing down his chest. Shangxiang had already slit his throat as he spoke. He looked down and fell over in his own blood. “ Not as pathetic as the man who thought he could get away with this.” She said as she hurried out of the house. She hated the sight of blood, and the stench wasn’t too pleasing either. She exited the house and whistled at her house to run to her side. She mounted the horse and rode off. She knew she needed to get back home before her father notices that she had gone away.
