Meeting a leader (Wei Yan)

[Deng Chao]

Deng Chao was traveling the cold winter mountains for the past few days freezing but it made him feel alive. Climbing those mountains to prove to the people that he was one who has the skill to survive the in many situation. Proving his endurance were you see the people watching him on the ground of these snow and his foot slipped on the ice and he took one of his sword and stab it in the ice to get back on the mountain. The wind was pushing hard to other people was thinking that he will die before the end of his travels.

He reached the top of the mountain then look at the sky saying thank you to the one that showed him most of the move he uses during the battles of his life. He then planted the pole with the flag of the one arm master flag a little kid that was down in the people that was watching he decided to use it to make the young one happy for a day before he notices the pain and suffering that he will be against in the future of his life and the life of all his friends that will land in the army for there leader.

Deng Chao decided to slide down the mountain and make sure for a safe landing. He then plant his sword at the bottom that made like a cliff that he needed to use the sword not to get hurt. His feet touched the ground with ease so he took his sword and took the sharpener he carries with him and sharpens the blade while the people was going around him. He place the sword back in the holder when he was done with the sharpening and said good bye to the people that supported him without anyone that he accepted since in his standard they were to young like he was when he first join the battles but they might be good recruit for the future and that only time will tell.

Deng Chao was now walking toward the rumors of a person that made a camp in these location. Chao looked for this location hopping that this person is a leader like he was looking to serve for the next few years until the chaos of these lands will be over. The march was long during the time of wind and the rain that seem to be coming soon he wishes that he will reach there before it starts just in case it will be a blizzard instead of rain.

Deng Chao traveled for over two hours before reaching a camp which people seem to be working for a man that was sitting in the campsite of this horrible weather makes him think that he might not be as smart as people say but he always doubted the intelligence of the man he will meet in this day.

A guard decided to greet Chao and asked if he was there to meet with there leader. Deng Chao looked at the guard and knew that the guard was weak but that does not mean anything about the leader so he decided why not. "I believe that I shall meet your leader before I decide what will be my next movement." His words confuse the guard that took away his weapon and placing it in the side to make sure to give it back after he leaves to make sure all will go well. The guards leads him toward his leader while Deng Chao does not say a word behind the leader and walks right behind him.

Luo Yang.

Rather cold, it was, to his own liking. He had grown up and spent most of his life in freezing temperatures and harsh weather, but now that he had stripped himself of those excess furs of winter season and found himself at a loss now that the time re-arrived in the mainlands, he was in an attempt to keep out the icy air as he sat in his own tent amidst the small complex that was his camp. His back to the entrance to the larger tent, Wei Yan stayed seated upon his wooden chair, staring at the map spread out before him.

Strategy was something worth learning, and although Wei Yan wasn't too suited with the topic, he knew enough to get a boost for a starter. After all, he wasn't some pesky little scholar chucked up in a corner of the room trying to read the Art of War; he was Wei Wenchang, a fierce beast of the battlefield, in experience of victories and losses and the tactics that were put into place firsthand. His life was a witness to these... these ways of battle and war. Staring intensely at the layout of the invasion battle of the coalition army, he almost didn't notice the flap of his tent opening.

Almost.

"What... is... it...?" he spoke in his deep, rasping voice as he turned to face the entrance of the tent with his masked face, the two narrow eyes glaring out from the slots poked into the face form.

An unexpected visitor was what he saw, instead of what he had assumed was a guard. Unusual, in these parts of the land, and especially in his camp of all others. Caring not even to reach for the double voulge resting beside him, whether the man was armed or unarmed, though it was most likely the former case, Wei Yan held his usual grim, observing expression as he pointed with his chin toward a seat opposing him from across the table, indicating for the man to sit down, whatever his case might be.

And he sat in silence, waiting for the visitor to open his mouth first, to lay down his purpose, whether in hospitality, homage, or hostility.
