[Tsuki (Ancient One)]

Did anyone get to see this film 'Splice' during the summer? I wanted to go see it but where I live it was only in the cinemas for a few days which annoyed me. Luckily I got to watch it on a DVD and I thought it was really good, scary, but very good.

Go to Youtube or something to find a trailer. It wasn't advertised very much on TV, I believe the downfall of Splice was the bad timing since Summer is usually over-run with kids and family films, not scary teenager-adult films.

I think the film is either 15 or 18, more likely 18 since it's rather disturbing. It should have picked October to come out instead, would have gotten the respect it deserved. It could also have a part 2 coming out since the end was fairly open to that concept.

Splice was advertised immensely whilst it was in theatres; I never got to see it but I heard it was a great movie. And I like Sci-Fi's, I really wouldn't consider it a horror film.

Where I lived there was only two adverts for the film on TV that I ever watched and the cinemas in my area didn't show anything to do with the film. Maybe it did better in some areas compared to others, then again my region is very bad for keeping things in the cinema unless it's a family related thing.

I actually heard this movie was really bad xD. The main guy people say was in a really awesome sucessful movie and then he went to this one and it totally butchered his career. To each their own I suppose. It was in movies here but for a short period of time because it did so terrible.

I really enjoyed the film, got my mind thinking about the events it displays. Can our science abilities reach such heights? What does our future hold? It's a film that probably got the religious communities a bit mad since it's about people 'playing God'. I thought the human hybrid was really cute as a baby >w<
