The War outfit of Liang.
This set of clothing was a lot like her royal garb, but was attached with shoulder pads made of black steel.
History:
Born into a normal family of poverty. A fisherman by the name of Quen Chao, feel in love with the daughter of a nobleman. Her name was Zhen Qing, but most referred to her as Lady Qing. The two were under the influence of “love at first sight” and began doing anything to be together. Zhen’s father did not approve and so the man was cast out of the city and lived on the outskirts of the city.
One night the man was sound asleep until he heard a knock on the door. The man woke up and answered the door. What had been on the other side of the door astonished the man as his eyes opened wide. The woman he fell in love with was at the door holding a few bags holding her belongings.
They continued on living together. The first year they had been together they gave birth to a small little girl and named her Yue Qing. They adored their little daughter and raised her up until she was 14. Then they had another baby on a full moon. This was also a little girl, and they had named her Liang Qing. As Zhen held her baby the moonlight had shown over the mother and daughter. Liang’s eyes glistened in the light and her mother cried. “You are destined for greatness young lady. Yue just sat there, jealous that her mother was giving Liang more attention.
One month later on a nice warm day in the city the family had moved to, Zhen was trying to teach Liang how to speak and Quen was out chopping timber. As usual Yue was sitting on a chair watching her mother love on Liang. She murmured something under her breath and glared at Liang. Her deep hatred for Liang was growing by the second. Liang spoke one word “Yue” in her sweet baby voice. Zhen looked at her daughter as Yue’s eyes opened wide. A smile towards her sister formed on her face. Liang crawled over to her sister and Yue picked her up and played with her. Liang giggled as Yue tickled her belly.
All of a sudden a thumping sound tremor their house. Zhen looked outside and saw a bunch of raunchy men on horses with torches. She ran back in and took Liang from Yue’s arms. Yue looked at her mother puzzled. “ Yue go with your father in the back and run!” Zhen screamed. “Mother where are you going!?” Yue cried. Tears ran down her terrified face. “Don’t worry. I will catch up to you guys just go now!” Zhen reassured her daughter. Yue ran as her mother instructed and Zhen had headed for a farm on the edge of the city. She entered the area where plants were grown and her mother had hidden her child in the field of wheat. She wrapped Liang in a red blanket with black borders. Liang’s name had been inscribed into the fabric along the border in white characters.
As Zhen stepped back from her child admiring the last sight she would ever have of her month old daughter. Zhen knew that if she was caught that Liang would have been killed and she would be brought into slavery. Zhen had escaped the field for a few feet and then 3 bandits ambushed her. One grabbed her from behind and the other two grabbed her arms. “We got some entertainment tonight gentlemen!” The bandit said. Zhen swung her leg around the bandit chaining her from behind and drug him to the ground in front of her. She had unsheathed a dagger clung onto her hip and pointed it towards her enemies. The blade has slots in the middle of the blade and with the right training could catch swords in the slots and disarm their opponents. “You bandits think you can attack innocent people without consequences?! You are sadly mistaken you sad souls!” She taunted. The bandits withdrew their swords from their sheathes and ran towards Zhen recklessly. Zhen held the dagger with the length of the blade up to the middle of her arm. As the bandits ran closer she readied herself for a frontal assault of these arrogant men. The bandit to the right of her swung vertically down as Zhen stepped back. She pushed with her feet towards the man and swung the dagger right at his jugular. Blood spewed from the wound and the man fell to the ground. Zhen sensed the man in the back of her swing and deflected the blade. She swung her feet in a circular stroke and tripped the bandit. She thrusted the dagger towards the other bandit’s abdomen. Zhen turned around to face the unbalanced bandit until the wounded bandit took a final thrust towards her spine. Zhen sensed the blade coming closer and turned around quickly. She held the dagger with the flat side facing the bandit’s blade. The sword went through one of the slots in the dagger and Zhen aggressively twisted the sword out of the man’s hands. With that bandit falling to the ground, Zhen held the sword with the blade still in the slot and held the two blades at the disoriented man’s throat and released the blades from each other, crossing the man’s throat and cutting it open. The Blood flew out of the man’s body as Zhen shielded her face from the blood.
Zhen looked back at her daughter lying there and tears flowed down her cheek. She wiped the tears and walked towards her baby. She put the dagger in its sheath and laid it down under Liang’s blanket. She kissed her crying baby’s forehead and walked off. The crying broke her heart. She began to run until 5 bandits with bow n arrows surrounded her. She knew she couldn’t make it out, but she would rather die fighting than be made a slave. She couldn’t hide herself among the wheat field in fright of them finding Liang. She ran to the bandit in front of her while dodging arrows left and right. She came up 3 feet from the man’s horse and trapped the animal, making the bandit fall down. She dodged a few more arrows and grabbed a bow out of the quiver and stabbed the man in the heart. She took the bow in her hands and wrapped the quiver across her chest. She began to shoot at the bandits on horses, dodging the arrows she can. She managed to kill 3 more bandits, but then as she shot at the remaining bandit she released the arrow at the same time as the man did, and both were struck. The man in the heart, and Zhen in the shoulder. She quickly pulled the arrow out and held the wound. Blood oozed out of the wound, and made Zhen dizzy. She limped towards Liang trying to hold onto her conscience. She knelt down by her daughter and fainted from the loss of blood.
A few hours later Yue appear out of the smoke coming from the ruble of her old house. She cried as she stared at the destruction the bandits left behind, but the one thing stabbing at her heart was the location of her mother. She had run off with Liang somewhere and never met up with her and her father. Quen was shot by an arrow through the heart and fell to the ground a few hours ago. Yue hid among the bushes watching them murder her father. The agony she felt in her heart was unbearable, but she had a burning rage inside her. Ever since Liang came to be things have happened to her family. This was the last straw so Yue searched for Liang. She came across a farm where she had heard crying. “ You little…” she insulted. She ran to the source and found her mother incapacitated. Kneeling before her mother, Yue took Zhen’s hand and cried. Looking at the dagger in Liang’s blanket, Yue thought of this as the chance to enact her revenge on Liang and accusing her of causing this massacre.
Yue grabbed the dagger and unsheathed the blade, revealing the blood-stained surface. She looked at Liang crying and closed her eyes. She held the handle with both her hands and held the blade upside down. Before she plunged the dagger into the baby’s heart “Please forgive me…” flew through her lips. As Yue thrusted the dagger towards Liang Zhen woke up and saw the blade heading for Liang. Her mother’s instincts acted out and pushed her in front of Liang. The knife punctured Zhen’s chest and blood dripped fro the wound. " Mother!" she cried. Yue killed her own mother and her blood was on her hands. Yue was shocked at what she had done and thought that she needed to kill Liang fast. She reached for the dagger when the ground started to rumble. Yue looked behind her and a barrage of horses galloped waving a red banner. It was the Wu army, they heard of a bandit attack and can to assist, but a little too late. The leader gazed apon the land as Yue hid in the wheat field.
The soldiers came around the field and heard crying coming from the fields. They searched for a few moments, looking for the source of the crying. They found Liang, and reported back to the leader of the force. It was none other than the Tiger of Kiang Dong, Sun Jian. Jian looked at Zhen, bleeding on the ground. “Poor child, her mother was murdered by those damn bandits.” He said. He took Liang into his arms and looked at her eyes resonating the moonlight. “This child has the fighting spirit as one of the Sun family.” He acknowledged.
