This thread is the offical battle thread for the Battle of Xiao Pei. This battle is between the Coalition and the bandit group named Red Fang. A quick recap of the battle:A large bandit group called Red Fang quickly gained power and while people were occupied with Dong Zhuo, attacked and took Xiao Pei. They are currently holding the governor hostage and are asking for a payment for his release. Warriors from all over China have heard the call to deal with this threat before it gets out of hand. As well as some warriors have decided to join Red Fang's cause, hoping to get a profit out of helping the bandit organization. Who will prevail? The Coalition start at the far left side of the map, while the Red Fang can start anywhere on the map but not by the large forest in the far left. Map Key: Light Green-Grass(Easily traversed) Dark Green-Forest(Harder to move through than Grass) Black-Border/Wall(Wall is heavily fortified, needs siege weapons to get through each gate.) White blocks on black line-Gate Brown Box-Archer Tower Brown X's-Large wooden x's used for defensive purposes(do not know the name so if anybody know's what I am talking about please tell me ) Let the Battle Begin!!!! Rasa stood high in the trees, surveying the grounds that would soon be a battlefield. In the distance was an archer tower extending from the wall. "Lots of guards, and just me. This should be interesting." He had heard other people were supposed to be there to help him, but so far no one had shown up. You probably couldn't rely on them anyways. Most likely they chickened out at the last moment just like the soldiers he had tried to hire. When they found out where they were going not one followed him. Rasa snickered. "Well, a siege will be impossible now, but maybe that'll work in my favor. With this many people there's no way one more would attract attention." He kicked the branch he was standing on before falling forwards to hang upside down by his legs. Briefly he wondered if it was worth all this effort to begin with. Retreat didn't sound like fun though. Hands over his chest he closed his eyes and thought hard about the best way to get into the city.

Lu Leng stood at attention, calmly looking at the nonexistant army that has come before him to take down the Red Fang. He laughed, "This is pathetic. Meng Ti!" His second in command bounded towards him, "Yes sir?" Lu Leng looked intently, "How many of our troops are in the city?" Meng Ti laughed, "two thousand sir!"
Lu Leng smiled. He looked upon his allies. He smiled grimly, time to get ready. He slipped on his armor and strapped his axe and sword to his side. He wouldn't lax his guard. He ordered his men on high alert and they oblidged him.
300 Archers, 200 Cavalry, 200 Spearmen, and 200 Swordsmen are at the first wall. Archers along the walls and in towers, cavalry behind the gate, followed by the spearmen and swordsmen.

~He smirked as his Royal guardswomen stayed near himself and he didn't mind that at all. His warriors were all ready for a fight but Wei was playing this battle smart, waitin to see what everyones up to before he moved his chess pieces.~

(( By the way next time Zhi. If you need help ask for advice from either me, Matt, and anyone else you can think of. Yeah sure I won't do it for you but If you need to draw something in Paint I can tell you how to. It's a very simple program and if you explore it a little and teach yourself how to use it I'm sure you won't even need our help. ))

Two hours before Ryu wandered throughout the city and it's outer defenses looking for good defensible positions and anything that might be useful. But he spotted nothing. It was a small city with little defense other than the walls. Tired and bored Ryu retreated to a bed in the barracks. His troops were still arriving hopefully after he takes a nap things would be done and an enemy army ready to fight. Ryu wanted to get out of here as soon as possible.
Ryu yawned as he stretched out his limbs and rubbed his eyes awake. Waking up from his nap Ryu wondered if the Coalition had attacked yet. Ryu promised aid in the battle for the Red Fangs but he might have to break that promise if the Coalition doesn't arrive soon. Things had to be done a city to defend, troops to train, money to earn he can't stay here forever. Sitting up he called his Captain over. "What's our status Captain?" the Captain quickly replied "The troops are ready to take defensive positions along the first and secondary walls. The rest of the Red Fang army seems to have gone on high alert. Should we do the same and take our posts?" Ryu smiled at the thought of some action. "Captain I want you to send word to the Red Fang troops that are under our command and tell them to proceed to the First Gate. I want their ranged units on the walls and I want their infantry to take positions behind the Gate. Oh and for our troops I want them to take their positions on the second wall Hunters are to take the Towers. Crossbows along the wall. Infantry ready to provide support troops, and Raiders keep them back incase of a breach. You'll be in charge I'm going to head for the front and provide a good marksman and tactician." Ryu listed down what he wanted done for the defense. Finishing he stood up armed himself and took one final stretch and while he passed by the Captain he turned his head and in a serious tone of voice "Make sure you carry out your end and I'll get mine. It's time to deal with our enemies." Ryu turned back and continued out the door with a sly grin on his face.
EDIT: Summary Ryu Yin's main force stays in the city and fortifies the 2nd Wall Ryu Yin leads Red Fang troops to the 1st Wall for defense

Xian looked over the field as He, and the few men He'd been able to scrounge up along the way, neared the approaching battle-ground. He'd only come because He'd heard there'd be some strong enemies among the Red Fang, and He needed to find some purpose besides wandering. One way or another, He was sure He'd find it here.
Looking around, He was surprised to see so few coming to face these annoyances, He'd expected some grand army of the Han, not a pathetic rabble who'd seen fit to stay true to their oaths and not run to the rebels. Hefting his mace onto his shoulder, He let a tight-lipped smile grace his features as He kept going. One way or another, He'd find his path here.

300 Han Swordsmen 100 Han Spearmen 100 Han Archers NPC Hunter
"Sir, Sir.... Do You think hes dead?" One of the swordsmen said. "No hes not dead you idiots" Hunter said as he kicked Smith in the ribs. "GET UP SLEEPY HEAD" Smith opened his eyes to see, his troops gathered around him. "Nothing like a good old nap to lighten the mood" Smith said as he got off the ground and started to stretch. "Ha I can see the battle is getting ready to commence, well then troops what shall we do today?" Smith decided to let his troops give their ideas, because at the moment all Smith wanted to do is sleep. One of the soldiers stepped up and spoke "I think we should split up, into two groups Hunter takes the archers and you can take the rest of us." Smith and Hunter took a quick look at each other and let out a cheap laugh, "Sounds good soldier, reminds me of our plans at Hu Lao Gate haha, what a battle that was well troops lets just carry on forward Hunter take the archers rest with me" Zhang Smiths troops begun their advance, while Hunters troops sprinted off in the direction of the enemies, for a bit of scouting.
Summary: Archers and Hunter head off to go scout. Smith slowly advances with the rest of the troops.

Zhou Yu's forces arrived in an orderly column of march some distance from the walls near the forests. His men stopped there march and did not continue toward the walls. They had come a long way it would be best for them to rest first before the attack. Besides which they had no siege weapons yet with which to make the attack unless the enemy were feeling nice enough to open the gates and come out to fight them. He doubted this was the case but bandits were stupid so you never know.
"Messengers go to the allied commanders and ask them to meet me here. We must discuss strategy before our assault." Zhou Yu commanded sending off a few men to each allied leader. They would have to be careful here with the enemy commanding such a large force of troops in this battle. There men were mostly better but things would be very difficult.

Yen Wang brought many of his men to the battle; he didn't plan on showing off. He just wanted to end this quarrel quickly. Niether side benefited him. He loved to see other rising with the winds of chaos, and allowing is icy talons to spread through out the land.
He decided that he would be the caboose of this defense and placed his archers and peasants on the second wall; The archers were neatly lined up on top of the wall, and in the archer towers. The peasants all ready with their farm tools and swords.
"Don't get to comfortable! Peasants and Spearmen Gather all the large rocks you can find and place them on top of the wall."
His troops responed with a load roar, and began to gather rocks and boulders of all sizes. While Yen Wang casually rode out to the front lines to see how the battle was progressing.

The young Korin O'niru had just arrived on the battle field. He had to put together some form of unit that would be of use quickly. He knew that the given situation was dire and that the odds were staked against them. Not only did the enemy have more men and a better position, but there were rumors that a few key warriors had decided to place their lot with the bandits. Had these men not sided with the bandits this would have been a situation he could have handled alone.
As he approached the battle field he saw one of the men he would be working with on this mission, Zhou Yu. He had heard much of this man in his travels and knew that he would have to work with him extensively if they were to gain ground. Especially considering his army mostly consisted of men with no battle experience.
He and his men approached Zhou Yu in a orderly fashion, almost as if they had actually received some training prior. He lined his men up and began to issue orders.
MEN! I want you to gather materials and begin working on the tools we will need for this mission. The first half of you will gather materials. The 2nd half begin making catapults. Once you have completed that move onto battering rams. From there you can look to the instructions I have left the with a few of our messengers on what to do next. Communications Unit, you will be divided evenly among the other generals. Keep me posted on their actions and give them our location. Use messenger birds as the first means of communication.
YES SIR!
Korin approaches Zhou Yu. It seems things will be difficult. We don't seem to be very well organized or supplied. From what I can tell most of the men supporting our cause could have easily been on the other side of this conflict. Have you gotten in touch with any of the other generals?

(Sorry about the units, I tried to do them as best as I could ) Turn 1 Summary: Members of the Coalition arrive on the battlefield. Leader of Red Fang sends his troops out for battle. Zhou Yu sends messengers out to each Coalition member telling each to meet up with Zhou Yu. Wei Ning sends messengers out to scout the area. Zhang Smith splits his force in two, the small group heading towards the southern forest, while the main one marches towards the first gate. Ryu splits forces in two, with the main force staying in the city, while the smaller one heading out to defend the first gate. Burai sets his troops into motion, setting up defensive measures on top of the first gate, while Burai rides to the first gate to meet the Coalition head on. Korin begins to make seige weapons. It is nice and cool, wth a slight breeze blowing through. May Turn Two Commence!! (I am sorry Korin, but I did not notice you when I edited the map, I will add you when I edit it for Turn 3 ^_^) Attachments:

~Wei Ning~
~Wei tilted his head as he looked at the messanger from Zhou yu, Zhou yu was the only other officer here whom had a prominate force for the side he was on. Wei thought it to be wise to meet this man none the less. With that thought he rounded up his Royal Guardswomen, and rode Towards Zhou Yu.~
~His men stayed in their possitions as Wei headed for Zhou Yu. As he slowly got closer he sized up the armies of Zhou and smirked a bit, very simaler to his own. He stopped upon reaching Zhou Yu and his men and smirked a bit nodding. "The names Wei Ning, Pleasures mine im sure...So hopefully the others show."~
~Wei nods a bit looking along the area of the plains looking at the armies gathered to fight the men inside the gates. "The hardest part is breaching the first gate. After that it'll get easier, but depends on the generals the fang may have."~

Yeah.. The map is totally awesome, just like Lewis. Anyways, going to have to leave Lu Jun and Xun out of this battle. They're busy with Jian Ye, and I have thing to do after that. We've got two other members from Wu, so it's all good. Good luck to everyone.

"Lord Zhang Smith theres a messanger here to see you." Smith looked at his soldier bowing down at him. Smith liked to see the respect he recieved from his troops. "Bring Me the messanger". Smith seen the messanger approching him almost instantly after he said that. Looking at the colours of the messanger he knew he was from Wu. Smith tried hard to think about what other member of Wu had join the battle. "I am here on behalf of my Lord Zhou Yu" the messanger said bowing down.
"Right Zhou Yu" mumbled. "Well what message does Lord Zhou Yu send?
The messanger cleared his throat. "He wishes that all the great leaders of the coalition regroup on his position"
"Fine, Men follow the messanger to Lord Zhou Yu, he wants us to meet up on his position"
"WOOO, YEAH, Finally someone smart to give us orders!" Smiths troops joking said. Smith gave out a small laugh and headed towards Zhou Yu. However Smith wanted Hunter to carry out with his plans.
Summary - Smiths main force heads towards Zhou Yu's Unit - Hunters division keeping its original orders
